Got rid of about 20 of em years ago.
I kept the Walther P-38, Bicentennial Ruger Stainless 22 / 22 mag, Matched pair of custom 1898 Remingtons (percussion), and the 1890 Winchester Rifle. (They'll all go to my grand son.)

Everybody in Texas has a gun.

Heaps of people in Az have guns, too...This being a posse state means open carry is legal the say you hit 18 and with the castle doctrine in place, here, more and more people are getting guns for home defense.

I think my next purchase (after my DPMS AR) will be a new shotty...something in a 12 gauge with a turkey choke.

All the better to make big holes with :D

ooh ooh! Also...Here's an example of the performance of the M&P40.

Shooting from 75 feet

target.jpg

You can see that I pulled a few (trying to find the aim point for 75 feet) and then, once I got comfy at that range, proceeded to make bad things happen.

Of course, that's WELL beyond what's considered "max effective range" for a handgun since it's very difficult to hit anything but being able to group shots like that shows how consistent the weapon is (shooting winchester white-box crap-ammo, no less)

Well I've been out shooting with a few of my friends a few times last year and a couple times this year, yesterday was payday so I went out and bought me a cheap little 22 with a scope, Glenfield Model 60.... I honestly don't know a whole lot about guns but I do like to go out plinking with a 22. My next purchase will be either a break action 20 gauge or a break action 12 gauge...

No picture yet of my current gun, but I will have one soon.

Try plinking with a .22 handgun! Semi-auto or revolver, it's a LOT of fun :)

Glad I could help, bro. It's good to know that I've done right by people.

Here in Arizona, they're actually talking about getting rid of concealed carry restrictions and making it legal for anyone who is allowed to carry a gun to carry it concealed without a permit. Personally, I think that's a good idea...There are some folks out there who are good people but can't get a CCP for silly reasons (Like...they punched a kid in the face when they were 13) which means they have to advertise the fact that they're carrying. Dumb.

Hopefully the new law will pass. It seems to have the support of the citizens defense league and Joe Arpaio so...we'll see.

They should do this Nation Wide.

All my guns were lost in a tragic boating accident recently. But my favorites at the time were my S&W M&P 9 w/ CTC laser grips and Arsenal SLR-106FR (hint avatar) I like high quality AKs.

I had a concealed carry permit in Colorado where I carried G23 and G26 but I moved to Washington state recently and haven't got around to getting my permit yet. Soon though... it's cheap and easy to get a permit here. Like $50 and no class requirements. I also hold a C&R FFL and enjoy reloading and gunsmithing. I haven't really had the money to maintain the hobby or shoot much over the past few years. E-cigs have kinda filled that void in the meantime as they are much cheaper!

Another woman here who owns and shoots!! I actually take my son to the range quite regularly... my dad was a gunsmith so I grew up around them. I have a CC permit also though Fl allows open carry as well.

We have an assortment, several 22 rifles to plink with. Also have an AK, an Bushmaster 223 M4 and an FNAR 308 which is a pretty darn cool rifle. Also have a shotgun my husband used to take offshore. I have a compact Springfield 1911 45 pistol as well, I think it's called micro.

I'm a good shot too! Had junior marksman pins as a kid. I think my eyes aren't as good as they were as now my son can outshoot me somtimes ;)

Enjoyed reading this thread and seeing what everyone else has for guns!!
