Impressive. Alot of nice guns you got there. Hows the performance on that KelTec? I've always admired them. But arent they a bit pricey?

My best,
-VP

The keltec is the best gun for concealed carry there is. It's extremely lightweight and small. Feels like you aren't even carrying anything at all.

There are plenty of them for sale on gunbrokers, I have 2 of them. They are usually in the $250.00- $300.00 range last time I checked, which is pretty cheap for a nice little piece to carry.

Hi whistlrr,

The world would be a safer and saner place if everyone was as thoughtful as you appear to be. I especially agree with your desire to take a basic gun safety course. If, God forbid, you were ever in a situation where knowing how to handle a firearm could be the difference between life and death for you or your loved ones, that would be a wonderful thing.

I encourage everyone, shooters or non-shooters, to learn how to safely operate and/or render safe any firearms they may come into contact with.

Regards... and be well,
Will

I have a P11. It's a wicked little beast that can use the high capacity S&W magazines. The small size and belt clip accessory offer great versatility for carrying.

Ok, so can I be the first female to post that doesn't own one but would really like to? Every opportunity I have had to go to a range and shoot with someone has fallen through lol.
My family were mostly Amish and Mennonite..can't say I was raised around them. Would love suggestions for a good all around one to start with though.
I know Colorado has a lot of classes, and there is a range right down the street from us. Apparently we also have the make my day law here..found out about that when I threatened to loose my dogs on someone poking around in our back yard who refused to leave.

Ah, don't have time to list all the firearms I own. I am a certified RSO, rifle and shotgun instructor and do much of my training for the Boy Scouts. My pistol certification process was halted last year due the the instructor becoming ill, so hopefully I can get that last cert this year.

Yes, have a CCP. In the winter I carry a 10mm. When it warms up I go down to a 45ACP or a 9mm depending on the clothing.

@Slither, I would recommend a 12 gauge pump shotgun with proper training. I keep one for home defense. Once, many years ago, there was a situation on my property and the sound of the pump loading a shell was enough to cause the situation to go away. Training is very important though with instructors that know your local laws. Showing a firearm is considered a criminal act in some places even if you are on your own property.

Keep safe and have fun.

I am a fan of H&K myself! Yea, it's a bit heavy, but I like that. I currently own a 45 by them and I have and also a 45 Llama. Also have several shotguns. No CCP. We have open carry law here also, and there isn't anywhere that a permit would allow me to carry that is not already allowed by the OC law. Don't really see the point. A 45 isn't something you would want to pack in your purse, know what I mean?...;)

Are these usually allowed at ranges for target practice? Thanks for the response
