Thanks BBmom I checked it out. I am not overly concerned with Diketones but I appreciate the info. I did order the TFA and am expecting it any day
If you do not worry about the diketones the CAP Vanilla Custard is to die for and their sweet cream as well.

Any oil based stuff like TFA Sweet Orange needs to be diluted with 190 or 200 proof PGA, then mixed with PG or VG before it will mix properly or vape properly.

Once it is diluted with alcohol and mixed it is no longer an oil base as the alcohol is a solvent and chemically changes it. :thumb:

Just as an added note here, even if you let the alcohol evaporate from the mix, it will not revert to being an oil base once combined with VG or PG, it's a chemistry thang! LOL
hmm... any tips on usage and ratios? I have a 4oz bottle of this (I was very stuck on orange flavors but haven't touched this since I got it) that I'd like to try again.

unfortunately, I can't get PGA here. as far as I can tell it is illegal in Hawaii unless something has changed and I haven't been aware of it.

Though I don't think there are any diketones in their Sweet Cream.

Andria
I will check but I thought there was one with an asterisk beside it and a v2 one....
But I could be wrong.

EDIT:
You are correct as per usual. No Dyketones in their Sweet Cream.

Bullcityvapor makes a real effort to identify the ones that do have diketones... but this page indicates there is just one Sweet Cream, and there is no "caution" background -- but you can see, right next to it, how there is a Sugar Cookie and a Sugar Cookie v2.

The Vanilla Custard on the other hand, does have diketones, and the v2 of that flavor just sucks rocks -- that's why I tried TFA Vanilla Swirl and discovered its awesomeness. :)

Wizard Labs also identifies all the diketone ones it seems. I like their web page for flavor shopping.
Did ya try the sweet strawberry? I hope you like it as much as I do. If you do not like it I will buy it from you since I recommended it.

How does the Vanilla Swirl compare to the CAP Vanilla Custard?
I love the Vanilla custard just by itself as a vape.

Haven't had a chance to try the Sweet Strawberry yet, "real life" has been most insistent lately, so that I've been running out of day before running out of things I wanted to get done. :D But tomorrow for sure, because I'm getting a bit low on my strawberry & cream, so I would need to mix some anyway -- I'll mix a small one with the sweet strawberry and see if I like it as well as the shisha -- I'm really really hoping I do! It's a good bit cheaper than the INW, and would probably solve a lot of my gunking problem.

Haven't tried the CAP Vanilla Custard, since I try to avoid diketones, just their v2. Maybe others know?

That is about the only thing mentioned in this thread that this mega box of flavorings did not include is Capella.
yeah I know wrong thread for it, but I can't just stick to one brand in my mixes. Some have 3 different brands of flavoring in them.
I do like the CAP flavors I have tried so far. And have a few more I am waiting on to show up in the mail.

I may get smacked for this but IMHO all flavoring brands DO NOT USE THE SAME flavorings only at different percentages. If this were true we would just buy all of the more concentrated 1s to save money and time. As far as I can tell most brands have some unique flavorings that other brands do not have or do not make well. I am done with my rant - returning you all to the regularly scheduled programming.:D P.S. I love this thread keep up the great work all of you.

Yep.... Inawera "Cherries" tastes like a cherry cough drop. BLEAH BLEAH BLEAH!!!!!!!!! The Lorann Cherry does taste a lot like maraschino cherries, which I can probably work with, in a later iteration of the Code Red flavor I'm working on (the first test bottles were awful; I'm letting them steep one more week, just to make sure, but I don't think they're gonna get a lot better -- both of them taste a bit like camphor of all things!).

But the TFA Cherry Extract, that one seems spot-on; no cough drop ickiness, no maraschino sugary-sweetness. It seems to be exactly the right flavor for the cherry pipe tobacco I'm working on. I tested it after a week's steep, and it's really, really close to what I'm after, though it's a bit more cherry than tobacco; since there are 2 tobacco flavors in it, I thought another week's steep might actually do that a LOT of good, to round it out, let those sweet tobacco flavors really shine. If not, that recipe is close enough to what I want that I think adding just a smidge of one more sweet tobacco flavor, Gold Ducat, will fix it right up.

culd you just take some Middletons cherry blend tobacco and soak in it alcohol and pg?

No... I refuse to buy anymore actual tobacco... and we won't have any drinkable alcohol in the house, due to the "cunning, baffling, and powerful" nature of our disease/insanity. I don't think I would drink it, at this point, but the only thing I can say FOR SURE is that I won't drink TODAY.... neither of us want boobytraps around for the potential lapse in sanity that might lead to drinking it. ;)

Understand.
This fall I am going to secure some cured tobacco leaves (scraps from the stripping room) and try making some tobacco flavor. I won't actually be buying it....
Just trying it to see how it turns out. I have a 3 gal or so stainless vacuum/pressure vat ready.

Robert, I am not going to hijack this thread, but I extract tobaccos for flavoring to make juice. I you are interested in how I do it any time, feel free to PM (oops, converse) me.
