I think the percentages given on this list were supposed to be for using a single flavor (from the list in post 1671: "Originally Posted by 03FXDWG This is my list that I try to update when someone posts a "vapable" percentage. No mixes--all straight single flavors"). For EX: Pear at 15% (just an example, I didn't look it up) For arguments sake, lets say Apple is also 15% for an Apple juice. Now if you wanted to make an Apple Pear juice I would use 7.5% of each to still stick with the 15% total flavor of the mix. If you added 15% of each, I personally think 30% flavor would be way too much and probably give you a chemical taste - YMMV. I would at very least start at the lower % and if it wasn't enough add more.

One closing thought, these %'s are just what work for that given individual that posted it. Everyone likes different tastes, different strengths, etc. What one person may love, another person may hate. There are no rights and wrongs because if someone likes it and posts it, it's right for them. I use these as a guide or starting point, not as the end all be all, if you know what I mean.

Cheers,
Steve

Well thats what I was thinking they did but the ones that use 1 drop how do you cut that in half? Thats what I was talking about! These figures are all over the place! I haven't spoken to who ever put 1 drop per 10ml but you cant plug this into a calculator! I use a calculator to get Exact measurements... I have no Idea how to use this type of percentage... All of my 100's of recipes I have are designed to be made from 1ml batch all the way up to 55 Gal Drum if you wanted to... And all you do is change the Quantity you want to make and hit enter and the calculator adjusts the number and if you need to add 2-7 flavors you just type in the % needed for each Flavor and the Calculator adjusts the amount based on the % of the flavor needed! Just like baking a cake if the recipe calls for an ingredient and lets say you want to add Vanilla and then you decide to add strawberry you dont cut the vanilla back to half... It's just too confusing like this! oh well Guess I'll have to keep looking for someone who knows how to make juice to ask them what I need to do... Thanks for the help though!!! :)

Most people who DIY use the constant that 1 ml =20 drops. That being said, then 1 drop in 10 mls would be .5 % or one half of 1 percent. I have a little tiny dropper from TFA to give me a small drop when I need one. For a 5 mls batch You could dilute 10 drops of that flavor in 10 drops of vg or pg in a separate small bottle. This would half the concentration of the original flavor. Making 1 drop only .25 % of the original flavor.
Most recipes are not that critical. Your individual tastes may be different from the person who created the recipe making such exact measurement a mute point. I use any recipe as a guide line. After the initial attempt, I frequently modify the listed percentages to suit my taste. That's sort of the point of DIY. Take a recipe and modify it to suit you. Good luck in your Quest.

That 16% that's in the list must be a typo as I use it at 6% with good results. So you might want to try in the 5-7% range to find your sweet spot.

I don't think it is a typo. I mixed mine at 15% by itself to test it. I like it. This may be why I could never find premade that I liked. Some like strong flavors on things I don't and I like stronger flavors on things others don't. Isn't DIY great!?!

This list is only a place to start and many will not agree with what is on this list. I on the other hand am thankful for this list to give me a starting point then I can raise or lower the % as I need to so it is right for me. Thanks to all that contributed!

Drops are still used for adding sweeteners and for some of the super potent flavors like tiramisu, caramel cappucino and some tobaccos.

You are making your DIY journey harder than it needs to be. The chart was made for single flavors and has nothing to do with the on-line calculators or complicated mixes. Get to know your flavors individually before you try cloning Halo's Voodoo or Boba's Bounty.

You're going to end up with a perfumey mess if you try to combine the flavors in the chart at the percentages given and the reason is the math. If you mix up a pear flavor at 15% and then an apple at 15% they stay at 15% but if you then take half of that pear liquid you just made and mix it with half the apple; your new mix still has a flavoring total of 15%--7.5% apple + 7.5% pear. But most people want one of the flavors to dominate so they will tweak those numbers to be something like 10% pear and 5% apple.

It made it much easier for me to mix up single flavors and get them as sweet, tart, strong, light as I wanted first. Once you get the single flavors vape-able; it's easy to take a little of this and a little of that to make more complicated solutions.

DIY means Do It Yourself. However you want to do it, mix it, taste it, is fine. It's your creation.

Apple Candy.

I'm having trouble getting this flavor to come out. The description on TFA website says that it is supposed to taste like a Jolly Rancher. It smells like a green Jolly Rancher but the flavor that I'm getting is just unpleasant. The juice in the bottle smells like what I want, but tastewise it's just an icky wanna be but not really an apple type flavor.

I've tried from .5% to 10% and it just goes from weak icky to strong icky. Any suggestions?

Really love this thread and the percentage list! Thanks all! I usually start around 10% unless there's been said the flavor is very concentrated.
Haven't tried enough TPA flavor's yet but LOVE ripe banana and Pomagranata at 12% in 50/50 18mg but fe the Apple can't get that one right finally got 'some' taste at 15% and after adding some cotton candy but not nice enough and don't like to add over 15% of flavor. Going to try the candy apple next time I order. What I like to ask you all is if you know Ripe Banana alike flavors? This flavor seems to add TH to the total juice maybe it's a certain ingredient? I'ts not that I am such a banana person :D never eat them...

Does anyone have any experience with English Toffee? The list shows 5%-17%. That is a big range!
I have always read too much flavor is like no flavor and don't want to do that but don't want it weak either. Perhaps the wide range is when mixing with other things and alone? I am thinking of starting at 12% for a stand alone to see what I get. This will be my first mix with this and just wondered if anyone might know.

I just mixed some of the English toffee a couple of weeks ago. I'm almost positive I did it at 10% which has been my safe starting point when suggested % had such a huge gap.

One of my friends tried and like it. After sitting for a week I think it has plenty of flavor. Mixed 50/50

I plan to mix some samples today and going to make a new English toffee with a little caramel tfa original.

Good luck!

LD - I stand corrected. Just looked at the ejuice calculator where I saved what I mixed for the English toffee & I used 12%

You might want more English Toffee if you're using it by itself, but here's what I'm vaping right now:

3% TFA Peanut Butter
7% TFA English Toffee
7% TFA Milk Chocolate
1% TFA Graham Cracker Dark
1% EM (10% dilution)

Not that it really matters, but the rest of my base and nic is VG. 2% total of .9% saline solution was also used, I like a touch of salt in my peanut butter/chocolate mixes.

Thanks! I don't have EM but have the rest. I like the english toffee flavor but was thinking it needed something else and was going to try some cream. Would you suggest bavarian cream or sweet cream? I guess I need to mix my creams alone so I know what each has to offer.

I mixed 4 last night and got 4 winners! YAY!
Juicy Peach
Ripe Banana
English Toffee
Peppermint

Seperately of course but they all taste good. I mixed the top 3 at 12% and the peppermint at 10%. That worked out to be a good percentage for ME.

I haven't had TFA Sweet Cream yet, but I should have it on Monday. I love the TFA Bavarian Cream, it goes well with many recipes.

The EM isn't really necessary in my recipe. From what I've read, some folks add a little sweetness to certain recipes and some never use it. Adding EM is a YMMV topic if there ever was one. Good luck!

What did you use as a ratio....50/50
