I would like to try mixing this^^^ what percentages would you suggest?

I wanna know the same thing. I've been using vanillin for a while and just recently started playing around with BC. I could imagine them working awesome together as a vanilla cream at the right %'s.
I mixed them both in a juice the other day but it hasn't steeped long enough to know if I got the equation right yet. :/

First time i tried the diy thing and I decided to use aLL tfa stuff. Im a bit hesitant to get stuff from other makers, kinda worried that some flavors from other manufacturers wont work well with the tfa stuff. Anyone have experience with that?

I am looking to make something like a mojito, with the key lime. I dont think tfa has rum..or the vendor i get from just doesnt have it. In that case, id probably end up with a mix of key lime, champagne and maybe mt.dew.. Does that sound like a good idea? And koolada for the feels. LOL

I made a chocolate earlier using the double chocolate, not the clear one.. It tasted weak though, even at 15%.. Had 3%ethyl maltol in there as well.. And 2 drops of smooth per 5ml..

Any ideas on how i can fix it? Kinda worried upping the chocolate more than 15% would do more harm than good.. XD

I've gotten flavors from a few other places after starting out with TFA. you can mix them, but myself and many others have found that flavors from elsewhere can be much weaker but also spot on at the correct percent. I tend to stick with the stronger TFA flavors to make it easier to not go much over 20% flavoring in a mix.

I don't know about the mojito you've mentioned. It may not taste like the real thing but it could be awesome as it's own thing. That happens lol.

As for the chocolate, I've used the clear and the dark, and I've found they both develop with steeping. I thought it just wasn't right when I first worked with it, and just gave up on it. When I went back to the mix after forgetting it for a while I was amazed! That mix is now one of my favorites that I mix in 30ml bottles with my others frequently. I wouldn't go too much more than you already have because with more you'll eventually taste less. Flavors do that so I'd let it steep if I were you.

I thought so too.. To steep it is then. Thanks. and reading back a bit, some say to put in a hint of vanilla with chocolates.. Ill probably try that after my next batch of flavors come in.

Making these flavors and making them all come together is quite addictive. XD

Yes, vanillas definitely add something. One thing I put in my chocolate ADV is a tiny amount of coffee flavor. Just like adding coffee to chocolate in baking, it gives it a kick.
You're welcome, I agree! DIY is very addictive!! I wanted a new hobby when I started vaping and incidentally the thrill of building coils and mixing juice fell in my lap.

I went into diy eLiquids pretty much the same week i got my first mod. Prolly confident because i cook and bake.. Haha.. I need to get familiar with all these flavors and additives first though. XD

Yeah, adding coffee seems Like a better idea.. Was eyeing the kona coffee, just for mixing with others..(chocolates,banana) or would the kona be too strong? Whew.. Didnt want to order all the coffees. Haha.. Might end up with a couple though.. Kona and cappucino sounds too nice to pass up.

I just started to notice somewhat of a light flowery taste on the exhale on one of my juices..its a mentholated strawberry with a bit of koolada and smooth.. Im thinking its because of the smooth.. Anyone else notice this with smooth?

I may have put in a drop too many.

ripe banana IS a very agressive cracker. it will lock up a syringe "tighter than dicks hatband" too. I believe ripe banana attacks rubber as it locks up any small syringe even if the rubber is pre lubed with vg. It's one of the flavorings i prefer to cut in half with pg for storage and so its not so agressive when measuring. (just a simple math needed figuring actual recipe percentages). I always keep juice mixes that have RB in glass bottles with the white rubber dropper bulb because of concerns about its ability to attack rubber...although in a recipe mix it's nowhere near as agressive as it is in concentrate form.

Ok so I'm on the verge of my first DIY purchase and am researching and lining up where I'm going to get all my ingredients...after reading/browsing this thread would it be safe to say TFA flavors are going to yeild good results when used properly? I'm worried about buying flavors that are just gross no matter what.

I have had good results using TFA flavors, haven't found one yet that seemed "gross no matter what". YMMV, of course.

I understand the need for reassurance. I am confident you will have "good results when used properly". If not, let me know and I'll gladly take them off your hands.

I've run into some that I hated and others loved. Best advice is to taste flavors individually before trying to make combinations. You need to know what individual flavors taste like. Knowing this will give you an idea of what flavors will go well together. Also remember TFA creams, vanillas, caramels and tobacco flavors need to steep. About the only ones that don't need much steeping are the fruits and candies.

I have tried a Mojito with all TFA Flavors. I got the recipe from another site that had different vendors listed. It wasn't very good to me....I think the Brown Sugar Extra Flavor % was way too high and I haven't tried any other variations. Anyway, it was a mix of 10% Brown Sugar Extra, 15% Jamaican Rum, 3% Key Lime, .5% Spearmint, .5 Sweetener.

The kona is actually what I use. It's extremely strong and I don't like it on its own so I started using it in my chocolates so it wouldn't go to waste. I usually do about a half percent of it and it does the trick wonderfully.

That is the charastic of that flavor. You will not get rid of the grassy green taste at any percentage. you can try mixing it with a 555, american red ,r honey cured or M-type or something to that effect. May not eliminate it but will make the green less noticeable. If using the M-type go very light like .25 to .5% that stuff is very strong. If you can find some tobacco absolute that may also help.

Tried your suggestion. Used 1.5% Cubano - .125% M-Type - 2 drops Smooth. Usc steep 1.5 w/heat, open top-- 1.5 hrs w/o heat, closed top. 10ml 65pg/35vg I really like it now. Seems like the M-Type and Smooth calmed the green taste down to really good cigar taste. Vaped on an Igo-L, e-vic, 8.5 W. Thanks Danny!

I am a HUGE fan of TFA Strawberry (ripe), and Dragonfruit. I have a bunch of other fruits that I play around with, but I almost always go back to or add a little of the strawberry and I haven't gotten tired of it yet. It's pretty overwhelming stuff though, so I use it in small percentages (around 6%) but ymmv.

I've found that although you can vape the fruits immediately after mixing, but that they do get better if steeped for at least a day with the cap off. Some of the fruits have alcohol in them and you need to let it evaporate.

I typically wait till the juice goes from clear to whatever shade of color that particular flavor turns to after a period of time.

I agree on the strawberry(ripe). It's spot on, as well as the nectarine and peach. Grape tastes like a Nehi though. I don't know of any vendor that has a real grape flavor. Most of the melons are very respectable too.
