I have a couple of syringes for livestock use that are glass with rubber stoppers. Not black rubber but soft stuff.

Interesting to know, thanks! Are they larger than usual, since livestock, like above 10ml?

About 20 mil I think. big bore needles for La200 antibiotics and such.
have not used them in a while since my friend got rid of his cattle and leased out his farm for others to raise cattle on.

I have no idea what it is but I always soaked then in rubbing alcohol to sterilize them, actually kept them in a mason jar of alcohol most of the time in the medicine cabinet in the barn. They are probably still in that jar right now....
I got them from the vet years ago. The needles were big enough bore that I sharpened them using 800 grit wet sandpaper on a little block of marble and ran the needle over it at the proper angle. Cows have pretty tough skin and they dulled pretty quickly when running cows thru the chute and shooting them with blackleg vaccine and such.
I am really glad I don't have to do that anymore :)
Pulling calves... BIG rubber gloves and lube up with PG....
I am DAMNED glad I don't have to do that any more.

I have several that are glass stoppers, and a few very expensive "gas tight" ones for GCMS machines that have Teflon (PTFE) ended stoppers. I've actually never seen a glass syringe with a non-inert rubber/plastic stopper in all my glass syringe shopping?

Can post pics of mine if anyone would like to see

Don't know if they still make them or not, but they used to and the plunger/stopper was also glass. I used to be a vet tech and the vet that I worked for had some old ones that we didn't use. He let me have a couple of them. I need to look around and see if I can find them[emoji4]

Loads of stuff here that you might be talking about. The problem though is not so much the size of the syringe but the gauge of the needle. I have 12 gauge needles but you have no hope in fell of pulling up VG with that. I have to pour my VG into a shallow, wide neck jar of some sort to pull it up with just the syringe without a needle.

I got my TFA Greek Yoghurt this morning. I'm using different percentages of this recipe in about 1ml of pure VG and testing it in a dripper. Seems to be working. I'm using more yoghurt and much less pineapple since I like the sour edge of the yoghurt, but so far not bad at all. Work in progress of course.

Yes, I have a few 1ml and 3ml that are all glass, stopper glass too. One of my 3ml comes with a removable metal three finger apparatus (thumb and two fingers), to make dispensing easier, I removed it to make dispensing easier :D

Is essential oil ok to use/Vape???

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It really depends on the EO, many people here have used several different EO's in their mixes (Anise, Orange, Peppermint to name a few), and have done so for years without issue. The main oil's you need to avoid is vegetable/lipid types, EO's are not the same type at all.

You should lookup dangers of any EO before use though, as some can be dangerous to use in certain situations (Like pregnancy, mixing with prescriptions, etc)

12ga is fine for pulling VG. I use a 14 to do it when I make smaller batches, its slower than flavoring/PG/Nic obviously but it works. For my normal 60ml ones Ill just pour 30ml of it into a conical vial and dump it in.

I also use a 14ga for my VG, as that's the largest size I have, and trying to use 18ga just doesn't work, and even 16ga is a bit too slow -- though I have used 16ga when I only needed a tiny bit of VG.

Oh man my first bunch of supplies I ordered, I got a pack of 18ga from NN and thought 'Oh those 14s will be too big and unnecessary'. Oh my god that was so frustrating trying to suck up VG haha. Finally figured out I could just take the needle off and do it that way hah.

I also use 12ga needle for VG, best with 5ml or 10ml syringe (Or larger), small syringes don't work as well :)

Yeah I have a big 20ml one set aside that I use for either VG or transferring juice from the glass bottles to plastic ones. The only drawback with that size is you have to pull up the plunger, and hold it while the VG comes up and pushes all the air out of it. Was so annoying the first couple of times I yanked the plunger all the way up to like the 15ml mark and let it go and it shot back down to like 2ml cause I didnt let it all suck up!
