Try Vanillin it works for me , seems like EM and Sweetener Mellow the juice after some weeks , i usually mix more than 300 ml so i use TPA Vanillin instead.
Just went and looked and there is several Vanillin's to choose from. Can you share the link?
Thanks

I just got some vanillin but haven't tried it - do you use it as an exact replacement for sweetener (same percentage) ?

Morning all .

Do you find that high flavoured juices tend to become muted rather than improve with aging? My one or two flavour mixes do tend to improve with some days or even a couple of weeks of aging but I find the very high flavoured ones, like 5 or 6 flavours mixed in at 25% to 30% taste better when vaped ATM rather than later. Dunno - could be just my impression.

No; my strawberry & cream, currently mixed with flavoring at about 28 or 29 percent, gets sweeter and stronger, the longer it sits there; when I first mix it, I deliberately make it less sweet than I really like, and just put a small amount in another bottle for my immediate use, to which I add a bit more sweetener.

My Smocha, although it's good when first mixed, really *develops* over time, probably because it has some tobacco flavoring and tobacco absolute in it; the longer it sits, the more tobacco-y it tastes; for me that means that it becomes less yummy, but better for my after-meal vaping, or if I had a real craving for a smoke.

@Papillon61 - forgot to ask, what's your nic level? And a "silly" thought - do you shake your bottles well before you load a tank/topper? Sometimes I don't always remember to give a good shake - perhaps things are "separating" a bit....

Anything from 3 to 6mg but closer to 3 most of the time. And yes I do shake my bottles, especially if they are very large ones. The last batches I made were in 100ml bottles! Now I am sort of confirming that some of the "lost taste" could be from my taste buds getting a little tired. The juice tasted better today.

Another thing to consider is exactly how you are vaping the liquid... a new coil or wick or even the charge state of a battery (especially on mechs) can have either a positive or a negative effect on the taste and vapor production!

Just went through that here...put in a new coil that was slightly different than what I was running and thought--oh crap--what's this--then I stopped and thought about it for a minute and ended up ripping the coil out and putting in one closer to what I had been running and it made a huge difference in flavor.

Many things to consider..but yes, of course liquid can change for the better or for the worse over time!

Vanillin 10 (PG)
" Intensely sweet and very tenacious creamy vanilla odor "

Perfumers Apprentice - Vanillin 10 (PG) heres the link where i purchase it , seems to work fine its a little less sweet but its ok , try to use it in the same ratio, maybe it work for you too

Well i mostly use Bills Recipes and some of them are extremely sweet so i use Vanillin instead of Sweetener and seems to work fine , maybe for the same result try to bump vanillin a little bit more.

I felt like a bit of Orange Creamsicle this evening. It's one of Bill's recipes and it call for Vanilla Custard at 2%. I'm out of Vanilla Custard and since not so much of it is needed I used Vanilla Bean Ice Cream instead. I used a large 100ml bottle to mix only 30ml to have room to shake it about vigorously because I really didn't feel like going through the whole shebang and the batteries on my milk frother are about to die anyway. Came out good... I like it.

Back at ya Techy!

To me this is the MOST important holiday we celebrate in this great country we call America! :thumb:

Sure it's time for family and friends to gather, BBQ', and fireworks; it's also time to reflect for all of us who have fought to defend and maintain this great land and our forefathers that fought and died to create it! :thumb:

And also to remember something that wasn't entirely clear to me from history in school (though it should have been, I dunno what I was doing that I didn't pick up on this, probably reading a historical NOVEL!)... July 4 and the signing of the Declaration was actually the START of the American Revolution... until they took that very momentous step, we were still British colonial subjects -- afterward, to the Brits, we were traitors -- it took many, many years of a bloody, awful war to make it clear to them that we were no longer British subjects, but American citizens. There was some fighting *before* the Declaration (Lexington, 1775), but at that point our American citizenship was only a very nebulous idea; Lexington gave it legs! Jefferson gave it words; all those who fought made it reality.

Happy 4th to all us folks who celebrate July 4th as a National Holiday (everyone has a July 4th ;) )

@Papillon61 - just mixed up your Prometheus and Venus clones. I *LOVE* the peanut butter in the Venus. Gonna let it sit for a couple of days before I break out a tank - most times, my peanut butters need to "mellow" a bit :) Knocked it on a fresh wick on one of my Mini RDAs - my oh my oh my....

I'm trying the Prometheus right now.... I pulled back on the coconut from your recipe (I used Coconut Extra, and that's pretty strong for me.) THIS IS LOVELY!

I agree - maybe not an ADV, but a "treat" vape (kinda like my Castle Long real & clone....)

I'm glad you mentioned this,i made some a while back, and forgot that it was a venus clone.I got a bottle of the real venus, and loaded some in a tank today, and it's been a few weeks since i had the clone, but going from memory i'd say it is very close.I actually like the clone a bit better than the real one.It may be due to the real one being really well steeped,as it is really dark, and i didn't let the clone get a long steep, maybe a week at most, but yeah definitely liked it a bit better,so i'll be making another batch here very soon.

Wow I'm so glad you both liked them both. :D Now you should try the Eclipse for a touch, just a touch of tobacco flavour. I like it with my morning coffee

Jane, my son's MIL came on Thursday, Yesterday I handed her a package of 13x 10ml bottles of 3 tobacco flavours i tried to develop specially for her (she still vapes only tobacco flavours), the three clones, the six in the Game of Thrones series and my own ADV which is the Tropical Custard. Let's see what her verdict will be.
