Don't you all wish you had a time machine and could go back and stop yourself from spending all the money on "the hunt"

I have over 1K invested, with 3 more mods on order or in transit (and this thread is making me want to order another)8-o If I could have found the right one before I put $500 into the off the shelf models (liked my first taste, tried to future-proof  ), or could figure out which one is the ideal one for my needs, I would have a lot more than the $160 cost of the GG in my pocket.
One frustration for me on the forum, is that almost everyone who reviews every model seems to feel it is the best thing since sliced bread. I say almost, because there is some comparative info out there, but it tends to get buried by the dozens of You Tube videos with clouds of vapor all over the lens.

Eventually I'll find the PV that hits the spot for me, but I could sure use the cash I've laid out for other purposes. Once I do find my dream unit (and buy three backups ) I'm going to have the biggest fire sale you've ever seen in the classifieds.

Do you remember when you played with toy cars, they were the best at that time. Look what happened!!! There is no perfect PV, there is only time and experience that will make the difference ;-)

The Burgh? How yunz doin'?

I have thought the lack of detailed, thorough reviews to be a bane for the vaping world. I've tried to be as accurate and neutral as possible in making my review of the GGTS. I say what I like about a mod, and what could be improved. Pulling something out of a box, describing it in general terms and blowing a cloud of vapor doesn't tell me a whole lot about it.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...gts-extended-use-review-almost-one-month.html

It covers all sorts of things that I think every review should cover, like customer service, durability, adaptability and price/value of the unit.

And everyone who posts an initial review should come back with an extended use review in a month or two. To me a mod is like a girlfriend, you only only get to know them after you've lived with them for a while.

oh 1 other thing the gg uses unprotected batterys..are thay safe or am i just paronid lol

GG uses protected or unprotected you have a choice personaly i use unprotected cr2's with no problems any battery can fail as with most thi ngs, if you feel your pv getting very hot disconnect and lob batteries :D

Ps if you don't have a volt meter buy one most important piece of kit with e cigs allows you to check battery voltage + atty resistance

Does anybody on the forum bother to rate reviews? Unfortunately for my wallet, I found this review instead of yours...

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-510-5v-pt-gg-nano-chuck-help-frustrated.html

The reviewer totally blew off the GG, so I checked it off of my list and kept moving. Dumb, I know, but when trying to pick through a list of 50 potential purchases, I was grasping at any filters I could find...

I don't even know how to find the rating on a thread...

A couple of questions. What is the auto feeding system and why does it cost 80.00. What is the big brass thing that sticks out on the side. Is this the most expensive mod out there. I just spent 149.00 on one and it looks like it has the same features (the one I got is suppose to be the smallest one out there) How much does the GG weigh, how long is its and how wide. Do you have to buy something extra to make it run on 6.0 volts. Do you get several different adaptors or do you just buy the one you want.

I would like to get more information before I spent this much money. It does look great and people seem to like it very much. What is the different between the 2 different types.

Let me try... I don't have one, but here's what I understand from reading these threads:

AFS: Um, it allows you to vape for an extended period of time without dripping or changing carts by "feeding" e-liquid into the atomizer
Big Brass Thing: The switch

How do I get 6 Volts: Depends on Model. Fundamentally, there are many more than one model of GG. The Slim only runs at 3.7V. The SuperSlim runs at 7.4 V (or a range between 3.7 and 7.4 if IMEO has completed that battery blank by now) The Transformer runs at a whole bunch of different voltages (and is designed for the AFS adapter), based on the fact that the tube extends and collapses to fit many different battery combinations, and the combination of batteries determines voltages.

Size: Look on the GG sub forum for size photos for comparison.

Adapters: Depends on model, again. The transformer supports several different atomizers out of the box. The slim comes with one connector, and they sell adapters to many other styles on the vaporkings web site.

Price: About what you would expect to pay for a high quality, custom machined device which is engineered to not require inconvenient electronics which break, and has a tremendous number of innovations which have been copied (often unsuccessfully) by dozens of other modders. Seriously, if the features and options are what you are looking for, the users of this device believe there is nothing else in its class.

I understand the heartburn associated with an investment like this. If you are concerned about whether it is worth it, check the classifieds and see how many are for sale (0), and what they do sell for when people decide to give them up (~90% of list)

Don't worry Emonty I'll volunteer.

First, hello Martha and welcome to the GG Family. You have reached the place where the ultimate device is made.

You might not notice it today, but you need to know that you are lucky.

A couple of questions. What is the auto feeding system and why does it cost 80.00.

The AFS is a system that is mounted on special atomizers, that is filled with 3ml of e-liquid (4 on the next generation) and will permit you to vape constantly and non-stop, for hours, without having to top-off your cartridge, or constantly drip on your atomizer.

It will give you the freedom and joy of vaping, without the hassle of refilling.

The AFS is an exclusive concept and invention that you won't find anywhere else.

The price might look high, but it is mostly due to the fluctuation of Euros vs Dollar, since the GGs are produced in Europe. (The shiny part of it, the one with lot of beaches and sun)

Anyway, the price is still very good for the excellence that you get of it.

What is the big brass thing that sticks out on the side.

That brass thing is the button that activates the current on the GG. It might look awkward to you at first sight, yet you will notice in time, that it is one of the most beautiful and distinctive feature on the GG. It is the GG's signature actually.

Not to mention its high efficiency and functionality. The GG button is mechanical, thus will not fail, and it can be locked, which means that a GG will not accidentally fire up in your purse or pocket.

Is this the most expensive mod out there. I just spent 149.00 on one and it looks like it has the same features (the one I got is suppose to be the smallest one out there)

Like i said earlier, the GG cannot be evaluated by its price. You will notice when you will get one, that it is worth much more than what it is priced.

And in all modesty, no Mod can be compared to the GGs yet. Whether in terms of aesthetics, handcraft and built quality, built material, security, functionality, or convenience.

By the way, the smallest e-cig in the world is within the GG collection, and it is the GG Slim.

How much does the GG weigh, how long is its and how wide.

Specifications vary from a model to another. You can find them under each model description on the GG dealers websites.

Cloud 9 Vaping - Come in from the cold

Vapor Kings - DSE801, DSE901, Joye510 and KR808D-1 e-Cigarette supplies

Do you have to buy something extra to make it run on 6.0 volts.

No. The GGs (except the GG Slim) vape at 6 and 7.2 volts without the need to add anything to them.

You will still be required to have special atomizers if you want to use the AFS.

And you wouldn't want to miss the special atomizers that GG produces, that are especially designed for high voltage vaping, and that can be also used with or without the AFS.

Do you get several different adaptors or do you just buy the one you want.

While the GGTS can be used out of the box, with 4 types of atomizers , the 510, 901, 801 and cartomizers, other GGs work out of the box with 901 and cartomizers, thus you will need a little adapter to be able to use other types of atomizers on them, adapters available from GG.

I would like to get more information before I spent this much money. It does look great and people seem to like it very much. What is the different between the 2 different types.

We can tell you anything on the GG, but you might need to tell us what the other type is, if we have to put a comparison....hehe :D

Anyway, you can start learning about the GGs and get all the info you need from here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/gg/52485-everything-about-gg-newbies-start-here.html

Remember, the GG is here for you to enjoy and abuse. Once you get it, you'll not look back at anything else you previously had.

Enjoy.

Martha,

The Auto Feeding System consists of a liquid reservoir and a modified atomizer. Its name implies its function, it will feed the atty from the reservoir eliminating the need to drip or constantly refill carts/cartos. There was a number of 1st generation ones that were sold, but since then a newer version is in the works. Here is more information:

YouTube - SakisGoldenGreek's Channel
YouTube - SakisGoldenGreek's Channel
YouTube - SakisGoldenGreek's Channel

As for the brass piece on the side (I am assuming you are referring to the GGTS picture?) That is the button (it's resting on a adapter).

Judging by the price you stated I am pretty sure I know which mod you purchased. Here are some of the differences between the two, since I was looking at both while trying to decide which to purchase.

The main difference is the flexibility, the mod you purchased (I'm hoping im referring to the correct one) uses a single 14500 3.7 battery for 3.7 vaping, and 2 CR2 batteries for 6v (although he has a legal disclaimer saying its not supported). While the GGTS has the ability to use those batteries, it also allows the use of other batteries and configurations without any additional sleeves or adapters. This means you can use RCR123a protected batteries as well as 18650s (and just about any other popular LION battery). This allows you to use whatever battery you have/want/need at any particular time. This not only affects the desired voltage, but also the size and longevity of you GGTS depending on which batteries you choose to use.

I do not have my GGTS but I believe that it fits a 510 and 801 natively and need a adapter for a 901 (I may be wrong here, as some of the newer descriptions infer that all 3 will work without an adapter) I am sure someone can chime in and respond to this. **See above for more accurate adapter information.**

Hope this helps.
