If you're short on cash, just stick with your 510. They're still pretty popular. No reason to splurge on a relatively minor upgrade with the eGo when you've got a viable PV already :)

You think that it's only minor? I've read that it's way better. However, if all the difference is just the battery, then I may just get the eGo battery as suggested.

Will I still get as good of flavor with just the eGo battery as I would with the whole kit?

some (and I'm in this camp) think that the flavor and TH and warmth and amount of vapor are improved with the cone...

some say it's just aestetics...

cignot seems to be the cheapest stateside for individual parts (expecially if you want to try and do it all in one order) and I think shipping is free after a certain point...and being in ohio (like me) you'll have it in like 3 business days..

Heaven gifts I think is a little cheaper on parts ( $29.40 for cone, battery, and fast charger) but it's shipping from china which could hurt and or take forever

The ego/Tornado uses a 510 atomizer already, so the ones you have are as good as any you would get with it if you bought a kit. However, it is not really a minor upgrade, since a bigger more powerful battery SHOULD get you better performance as well as lasting much longer.

As for new things, you may want to look into the new Low Resistance (LR) 510 atomizers, which you can only use on a battery that has at least 450mah, which the eGo batteries have.

The LR atomizers are meant to take simulate the 5V vaping experience on regular 3.7v batteries.
I have one on order right now, just so I can try it out.
:)

Oh, and welcome back!

Alrighty, looks like I will have to look into just the cone, battery and fast charger then since that's all that really matters. That's cool that there's no difference in the other parts of the eGo.

I'll have to make sure that I can find everything that I had since it seems that my house is a vortex of doom for anything that gets "put away" for a while. >< I have cignot bookmarked and will see how much money I can get.

I'm pretty excited! I can't wait to get some cinnamon liquid and start vaping again.

Edit: Bah, with the prices for a single battery I may try to find a way to get some money and go ahead and get the whole kit. Seems more economical to do it that way. The only problem is getting almost $80 at once. ><

Edit again: Also, I can't remember what %VG that I should get. What is the best thing out there now as far as that goes? I can't remember what % I used before, but I used to get most of my juice from Rocky Mountain Vapor.

I can vouch for this... The cone changes things immensely on cartos. It is an extremely airy draw without the cone (and makes a lot of noise), but controlled, warm, and more vapor with.

I didn't notice as much of a difference when using attys/carts/dripping. I think it's a difference in the way the units are made, so those with no experience with cartos probably would say it doesn't make that much of a difference whereas those with would tell you it's night and day.

Oh, and about the VG%. A lot of people are going with 20-30% VG, it seems. I do 20% and like it just fine.

Excellent, thanks! I'm really not sure what all of the VG % stuff means anyway. Like what the benefit of it is or what it does and stuff. I never did understand that part!

Again, thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. My 510 would be just fine I'm sure, but I'm a technology freak and always have to have the newest thing if I can possible afford it, so the eGo looks great. :p

May have to just order some liquid and find all of my 510 and deal with it until then. ><

Well, you might say that is one of the things that is new.

Lots of vendors are now making PG/VG mixes rather than all or none of one or the other.
And many even let you pick your own percentage mixture.

The reasons why this has become popular are sort of outlined below...

PG versus VG juices
PG is propylene glycol and VG is vegetable glycerin.
Either of these ingredients can be purchased relatively cheaply and easily by themselves.
They can be used for making your own liquid if desired. or for cutting juice you have purchased.

As far as differences go, this is what I have gathered from reading things here and there.

1) VG is thicker (more viscous)
2) VG vaporizes at a lower temperature
3) VG produces better vapor
4) VG is somewhat sweeter

Because of the above...

1) VG does not wick quite as well
2) VG may gunk up your atomizer more quickly
3) VG produces a somewhat cooler vapor which may reduce throat hit
