Question..Ever hear of a double stack stick mag for the saiga 12? Been looking, and saw where a guy was getting a patent on one. CAn't find anything else though.

Nope

The AAC stock is soo freakin nice and the trigger kit is solid, no creaking

Nice! Is it glassed in or free float?

Ooh Ooh! I'll play!

Here's just a few:

I have 2 of each of everything you see here except for the Marlin in 30/30 Winchester which was left to me after my Father passed. Like vaping, whatever I get, I have to get the Wifey one as well. I'm not complaining though and, neither are the firearms dealers I do business with.:p

Not pictured are the Pistola's & my backyard plinker/Squirrel Rifle:

Marlin Model 1960 .22 cal. (Rifle)

Ruger LCP in .380 <--Wifes EDC

XD >40 cal.

XD(M) in 9mm. X2

XDsc 9mm X2<--My EDC

Remington 1911

Taurus PT1911 <--Taurus pistol's either suck horribly or are fantastic. This one falls into the latter category.

And last but not least, the Springfield M1A National Match I just put on layaway at my Mom & Pop gunstore. Now, the wait begins...:(

Very nice! I bet that Marlin is a blast to shoot. I love .22lr  Mostly because I can shoot all day for $15-$20. Each mag through my PS-90 is ~$25. 50 round mag, 50 rounds/box of 5.7mm at ~$25/box. Gets expensive but is so much fun.

How do you like your XD/XDms? I love mine. I carry either my XDsc 9mm or XDS .45. You're going to enjoy the M1a. I love mine! Is that a Yugo AK? Or do you know where it's from? My buddy has a Krinkov AK. It has hash marks on the stock! I have a feeling I know what the marks are for, but it's creepy to think about.

Nice stuff dude! What's a good mount (not too expensive) for the ak optics?

The best 'optic' on an AK are the iron sights. But if you must have a red dot, Truglo makes a decent one for ~$40. The batteries die quickly, so just remember to turn it off. Or you could spend a bit more on an Aimpoint Micro H1. And by bit I mean ~$300. But you can leave it on and the batteries are good for 8 years.

I have a Trijicon on my Mossy 939 SPX auto loader 12 gauge and FNP. They don't have an on/off switch. They just stay on. Supposedly good for 3-4 years, but I just change them on my B-day each year. Just to be sure.

But seriously, AK iron sights are some of the best.

Yeah, I'll prob end up leaving that saiga 12 the way it is. Was never really much on 'snivel' gear anyhow lol. Put a scope on my AR years ago, and wasn't a fan. Most of my guns have always been left the way they were out of the box. Part of that is due to laziness lol. Now I was going to get a scope for my M1a, but then I got scared because I heard they can wreck a scope with the quickness. So I never did. I think I read that on a Mcmillan (spelling?) forum..

Ahh yes, Trijicon...my dream scope! The one I want but can't yet justify or afford last I checked, was hovering around the $1300.00 mark. For now, it's the trusty Vortex Strikefire on the M4gery. For a $150.00 scope though, I must say I am thoroughly impressed!

Re: Marlin Model 60, out of all the firearms I own, I think I enjoy it the most...weird huh? I guess that's because it's such an un-pretentious, good old-fashioned rifle and like you said, at $22.00 for 500 rounds it offers up a lot of fun w/out sexually assaulting your wallet:ohmy: I love to take it and my 7yr. old daughter out in the backyard and we will set up the spinners ( We got her a little cricket .22) and we'll spend an hour out there just plinking. I guess that's where most of the enjoyment factor is derived from.

ETA: The XD's!! I knew I forgot something I meant to say!
Yes, I know a lot of folks are Glock fans & there is certainly nothing wrong with a Glock. I LOVE my XD/XD(M)'s. I love the angle of the grip, and the way it feels like such a natural point and shoot device! Have you seen the XDS .45 up close yet? I like the idea of 'em but, I can't seem to get past such a low round count for something that's intended as an every day carry. That's just me though.

I think that as long as the scope is made to be mounted on a .308 or other high powered rifle you'd be fine. Now, put a little Wal-Mart Bushnell 9x32 that's made for a .222 - .224 diameter projectile on it? Probably wouldn't last an hour before the glass popped out of the tube...:p

I'll remember that. I also hated to drop another fairly serious amount of money after the m1a purchase...my wife wasn't a fan lol

Explain to her that the M1A is a piece of American History and every American man is required to have one...that should fly. :p

I don't use any optic on my M1a. But it's the SOCOM 16 model with a tiny picatinny half way up the barrel, scout rifle style. I tried a non magnified red dot, but just couldn't get a good cheek weld. So I took it off. I can group ~6" standing at 400yds with it.

You're thinking of the ACOG. I'm talking about the RMR.

I have an RMR on my FN FNP .45 and my Mossy 930SPX auto loader 12G.

Yep, I've seen the XDS. I carry one daily. :D

It has Truglo Tritium/fiber optic sights.

I like glocks. Just not the grip angle. I have a 36; their 'single stack' (more like single and a half) .45. What I don't like about glock is the vehement jerk glock fanboys who can't stand the thought that their guns aren't the best and that the XD potentially may have more to offer to some. Personally, I LOVE the grip safety. Mostly for holstering. I just put my thumb on the back of the slide and it shifts my grip enough to not press the grip safety. No glock leg.

And yeah, that's exactly why the Marlin is fun. Just a basic, cheap, cheap to shoot, classical rifle. That's awesome that you take your daughter out to shoot. I grew up with my Mother, who was very anti-gun. Not like a lefty 'anti', but wouldn't let me have one. She had a little .38 hidden away in case SHTF, though.

XS Tritium front sight (factory). This was a difficult pic to take w/ my phone.

I use speed strips instead of a speed loader because the cylinder drop button doesn't allow a loader to get in close enough. But I practice w/ the strips and can reload under 'manufactured stress' in ~7 seconds. Which really isn't that fast.

Shatner, got a question I forgot to ask the other day..

I got this Colt Defender Plus as a gift several years back. Way cool pistola. But it has a problem. If you don't pull the slide back and let it go home in a hard manner, it doesn't seat itself. Hangs up just a bit. While it's doing this, if you just touch the barrel (on the bore side), it pops into place..

Is this a normal problem with these? Seems like something just needs smoothed out..but I don't know what. Hate to file on something that doesn't need it. This is probably small fry to you lol, but it's something I'd like to get taken care of. The gun shoots fine. As a matter of fact, I can't remember it ever having a feed\ejection problem at the range. But it really irks me that I can't smoothly work the slide and not have it get caught up. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance dude.

Sounds like a failure to return to battery issue. Fairly common. Is it only happening during a 'press check'? Or when you pull the slide all the way back? Have you tried locking it in place with the slide stop and releasing from there?

How many rounds are through it? If not a whole lot it may just need to be broken in some. Don't file on anything. How long is Colt's warranty? It may be as simple as a recoil spring replacement.

Thanks man. It does it if the slide is half pulled back, or gently let forward. But if you rack it, or release from locked it's all good. Don't know how much it was fired. Was a gift, and it was purchased used. I've only run less than 50-75 through it. Will check into a spring and see if that cures it.

Missed this on my response. Yes, It's a Yugo - Zastava parts kit, The Century Arms It'l. monkeys built it but, it's one they got right!

ETA: Before anyone puts a negative "PC" connotation on "monkeys", it's in reference to the reputation CAI had for a while a few years back that their weapons were built so shoddily, no human could've been involved in the assembly process and they must've brought in monkeys from the local zoo to do the work...

Man I haven't been to a Gun Show since 1986. And I think that was out at the Orange Show way the hell out there away from Long Beach!

Remember all the crap from all the wars all piled in everywhere and expanding for miles and miles. Or so I thought, I was only 13 years old and was only 6'1" back then too. Was only a whee lad!
