Love the Einfield and Garand! The A2 gear on the AR is nice. Very classic looking and different than 'modern' ARs. You have good taste in firearms.

Pretty much so and added a cleaning kit and instructions on how to clean it!

This. Stoner said it never needed to be cleaned. Since it's Direct Impingement, it needs to be cleaned often. So soldiers in battle where having constant jams. So they started to issue cleaning kits with it and added a FA incase the bolt got stuck open. Just slap the FA 'button'.

Civilan Marksmanship program. It is a quasi govermental program intended to foster markmanship and they sell off some of the goverments surplus single shot and semi auto rifles. You have to qualify to buy from them. google CMP and you will find them. or odcmp.com
What is the CMP?

The AR is sweet. recoil is alot more thhan a .22 but is toned down because of the recoil system. In Basic or Drill Sgt shot one full auto off his chin. and shatner Thanks for the compliment.

I got my post mixed up there or something. I was asking about the 5x7's recoil...M16 A2's and I go way back lol. Well, not waaaay back, but 1996. Plt3073 Paris Island. The good old days lol

A friend of mine is selling his H&K P30. I'm really thinking of buying it.

He wants $850, which is an 'ok' deal. If I can get it for under $700 it's mine.

Backwards ammo in the mag! Love it! I always get a kick out of the pics that take a jab at HK's old ad.

Is your buddy a member of AR15.com?

Not sure if he's on barfcom. I stay as far away from that circus show as possible. He's on another forum I'm on.

And yes, the jab at HK's old add made me lol.

I got a Savage Mark II FV, a .22lr bolt action the other day. I got the glass and rings today. Barska 3-9x40. Pretty nice for a little .22. I'm a firm believer in a scope costing as much as the rifle, with some exceptions. Then again, I greatly enjoy long range precision shooting.

I went with medium profile rings. The scope sits at the perfect height, with a solid cheekweld. The glass is crystal clear. Don't know when I'll have time to sight it in. But I'll walk it out pretty far.

I'm going to do a 8 ounce trigger job and jewel the bolt. The barrel is already fluted, but I may re-flute and re-glass the stock. At least that's what I'd like to do. I've been super busy lately.

I also got a Glock 30 (sub-compact .45). 10+1.

Not my pic:

Nice little shooter. I generally carry an XD sub 9mm or XDS .45, but I wanted a sub compact .45 and Springfield doesn't offer one. Oh well. I like the Glock. It seems that the grip angle isn't as exaggerated in the sub compact models.

Also, if you need a holster, check out N8 squared tactical (two owners are both Nate, therefore N82.) n82tactical.com Look at the "Professional" model. They lock the gun in. If you drive your thumb between the holster and gun, just like a combat grip, twist inward and pull it out. It's a very comfortable holster. I'm wearing one now w/ the G30 and can't even feel it.
It has a neoprene backing that acts as a sweat shield. It's not hot at all. Literally feels like nothing's there. It's a great in-waist band holster.

Here are some AR-15s I built for a lgs. The ones on the counter. Likely 1 or 2 on the wall, also. Not sure.

Mostly PSA recievers and parts kits. Knight's armament rails on some. Direct impengement, MPI m16 full auto bolt carrier groups (these are NOT full auto). One has a Geissele 3-gun trigger. Don't know why they wanted a 3 gun trigger. It wasn't quite setup for 3 gun competition. Mil-spec buffer tubes, H2 buffers and Magpul MOE stocks. This is my bread and butter lately.

Look at all those PMags on the wall! I'm no Magpul fanboy, but they do make a great magazine and stock. But I prefer the Bill Rogers Superstoc.
