Guess I'm late to the party again but I have been curios about the hurricane for awhile. Not willing to shell out 180 bucks for an authentic I'm looking at a clone. I found one on eBay not sure which brand it is but it comes with the standard plexiglass tank, the SS tank and an acrylic bell tank and cap. All this for $30. Very tempted to give it a shot. Would you say that the airflow in this tank is a true MTL or simply a choked down sub tank?

For me, the Hurricane is one of the versatile RTA when it comes to airflow. You have 10 (10!) settings. I love mine. But in my case (who likes the airflow on the tight side), even with the air flow on the minimum it was to airy. So I blocked one of the airflow channels in the base with cotton. Now I only have 5 airflow settings, but I can do DL if I want to anyways (as I like tight DL as well). So I think yes, is a MTL tank, with a lot of possibilities, great deck, simple building and great flavor/vapor.

I will never sell my Hurricane.

True MTL, excellent tank!
Get this one, it's got great reviews and cheaper than $30:

I wonder why no one made a colored replacement tank for the Hurricane?

Even though its the juice giving this one the blue color that is cool looking and would be a nice option:

I would guess that your allowing a small amount of air into the tank, thus breaking the vacuum seal, allowing more juice into your wicking system, Band-Aid effect for over-wicking

Kinda like a post I saw by an individual loosening his top cap on a Griffin, claiming basically same effect. It may do the job/improve flow but should not be needed when properly wicked. Better Flavor is probably the biggest hint this is what is happening.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask, but does anyone know the difference between the 304 and the 316 versions of the Hurricane Junior on Fasttech?

It says the 304 is 22m and the 316 is 23mm wide even though they're both the same height and capacity, could that and the type of steel used be everything that separates them from each other?

Probably.

I passed on the JR because it is not a MTL tank like the Hurricane but between those 2 I think those are the only differences, what you mentioned.

Thanks.

I only noticed the Junior today when I was about to order the regular version that was on my wishlist for some time already.

Good thing I didn't get the regular version then, because I'm more a restricted DL guy.

304 Junior ordered anyway. I'm dutch so I went with the cheapest one :p

It's not in stock yet though, they say a week or so. I'll be back with some pics and a first impression when it gets here!

Just FYI, the Hurricane orig can give a nice restricted lung hit, if you decide to get you one.
