11 hours and 45 minutes of heavy chain vaping before the battery stopped.. I am impressed!

I was a smoker for over 53 years, the last 7 years chain smoking 3 packs a day.

I put the IGO thru some serious chain vaping today with zero problems. no battery charger issue or any other issue for that matter. I alternated between two IGO cartomizers and topped each one off once. I never let my cartomizers go dry.
a huge amount of vapor from both cartomizers, DEKANG RY4 and FSUSA PAL-MAL 2x. great flavor and throat hit from both.
The amount of vapor compares favorably to my GO-GO's but not as airy as the GO-GO.

Like my GO-GO's, this is a unit I know i can put in my pocket with a couple of extra flavor cartomizers for variety and hit the door. It will last me all day on a full charge with out any fiddeling around or bottles of juice to carry, or chipmunks, etc. etc..

The IGO won't cause me to sell my GO-GO's, but, it will damn sure help me to kill off the 200 + kr808d-1 cartomizers I have. may take some time, what with refilling and cleaning them though.

fosho i would recommend this unit to you kr808d-1 users who are tired of recharging battiers and want CLOUDS of vapor instead of little wisps.

If any of you folks have any questions about the IGO or the GO-GO, feel free to pm me.

36 days smoke free and I haven't saved a dime!:)

Whoa whoa, little whisps?? Thats only with Boge cartos m8.....

We get plumes of vapor on horizcarto.. But alass yes, the battlife... I keep a riva as backup, but would rather have the Igo, cus of the 808 threads.
Good review, thanks..

Think it a bit weird though.. The picig, Igo, Ego, Gogo, riva..... all are basically the same thing..... When will we see a truely new item.. Like the short version of the g400?

Just ordered one myself, due to all my ego-t problems. I figured since I do have at least 15 new 808 carts, it would make since to get this over the go-go. The battery life between 1100 and 1300 shouldn't make a difference to me, since I'm satisfied with my ego 650's. I also bought a lr-t atty for one more go round. I hate to buy a new kit so soon after my ego-t, but it is frustrating and the atty's are expensive. This will be my 4th pv and I feel as I'm just wasting money on the other's. I know its good to have backups, but I really dont use my other pv's when I get a new one. Alot of you on here have one pv for work, one for relaxing at home etc...I hate charging different batts, scrounging for parts etc..Thought the ego-t would be the ONE but I can't get past the flavor issue. Throw the same juice in a cart for my old 808 and WOW. i almost forgot how tasty some of my juices were. So anyway I hope this performs with the go-go, I had all but clicked checkout when I stumbled across this iGo. Seemed like a no briner since it is said to have TH, vapor production, and flavor that rivals the go-go but at least it's not proprietary. We'll see!

Bill, did it come pre charged at all? did you smoke right out of the box? or did you charge it up first?

oh cool!, so unlike the dreaded Ego-t, you dont have to charge 8 hours first, then another hour after a 20 minute puff session', and yada yada . awesome, thanks Bill!

This has always annoyed me. If that's how every single battery needs to be charged a certain way to condition it, why don't they just do that at the factory?

Probably a variety of reasons. I'm no expert on batteries but I can imagine these possibilities:
1. It would be several extra steps in production...making the items more expensive.
2. They can sit on shelves for months or even years before used. Maybe there are better/safer levels of charge to 'store' these types of batteries?
3. They get shipped all over the world...in all sorts of containers and vessels. It may be safer...and better on the batteries if they're not fully charged when riding in a sea-van who's contents can reach some pretty extreme temperatures at either end of the spectrum.

Just guesses on my part, but it kind of makes sense. It seems to be an industry standard for things that use these battery types to get shipped without a 'full charge'.

I don't care if they come charged or not. The issue is the "conditioning" cycle everyone recommends for new batteries. It makes no sense that the factory does not do this as part of their final testing.

It's a tribute to how great PVs are that vapers pretty universally are willing to put up with shoddy quality control that would never be allowed in another industry.

All my rechargeable gadgets have been like this. Cell phones, laptops, iPods...etc.
I agree, it's a pain in the rear....

I'll set aside a moment to see what battery makers claim are the reasons.

Exercise the Battery - Do not leave the battery dormant for long periods of time. We recommend using the battery at least once every two to three weeks. If a battery has not been used for a long period of time, perform the new battery break in procedure described above.

Thanks Credo. This part of the site you linked explains it (at least to my satisfaction). I've just got this thing where when someone gives me odd specific instructions, I just gotta know why.

That said, I've heard a lot of people here say do the full charge, discharge slightly, then do another full charge. The site claims the "break-in period" should be what I've always read - a full cycle, complete charge followed by complete discharge, 3 or 4 times. Any idea what the rationale for the "charge for 8 hours, use for 20 minutes, charge for 8 hours again" advice is?
