Thanks Credo. This part of the site you linked explains it (at least to my satisfaction). I've just got this thing where when someone gives me odd specific instructions, I just gotta know why.

That said, I've heard a lot of people here say do the full charge, discharge slightly, then do another full charge. The site claims the "break-in period" should be what I've always read - a full cycle, complete charge followed by complete discharge, 3 or 4 times. Any idea what the rationale for the "charge for 8 hours, use for 20 minutes, charge for 8 hours again" advice is?

No problem at all...I was curious as well. I'd never thought too much about it till I saw the post here asking about it...and I too always wondered why rechargeable gadgets didn't just come plug and play ready out of the box.

Wow, I wish I could give some good advice. I just spent a good 10 minutes trying to figure out what kind of cells are in my eGo battery here. I still don't know if it is Lithium or Nickle based. I just know it said out the package to put it on the charger at least 4 hours before using it...even if the 'charged' light comes on.

So...I suppose the thing to do is find out what cell type is in your battery if you can.
Then take the research from there?

*Bump*

Can anyone answer this question? I'd really like some more feedback before I buy one of these. :)

All I can find for you is in the second video Drew did, he said it comes off the charger at 4.2 and "thinks" it may be regulated to 4.2. I don't know if anyone has tested them to see if they drop down underload. Maybe email Drew and ask him if he can test it for you? I don't know how to test batteries, only cartos :(

So question for the other iGo users here - what are you using to carry your iGo around with you? Things like the eGo case are fine for travel and carrying around a couple of batteries, the charger (if you really feel the need) and a couple of extra cartomizers - but that isn't what I'm talking about. I'm more concerned about taking one on the go - to work - out to the bar or whatever - out running errands - etc. The 1100mah battery will last me just fine for the full day - but with the overall height and the whistle tip on the cartos, I'm not quite as fond of just dropping the thing in my jeans pocket. Not to mention - if I do use a pants pocket - I like to keep it alone in a front pocket and I'm running out of them between phone (kept on its own), keys, and now iGo. People here seem to come up with some amazingly clever ideas so I'm throwing it out here...

How do YOU get up and go with your iGo?

Thanks!

For anybody who hasn't gotten the memo yet - go ahead and order a couple of the 'colored and twisted 801 drip tips' for your iGo. I primarily bought some as an easy way to flavor label my cartos in rotation - but damn if these little things don't take the iGo to the next level. 1 - for me the mouth feel is much nicer. For comparison, it feels more like an analog (but isn't so I'm good with that) 2 - they fit like they were designed specifically for this carto meaning they come off when you want - and only when you want. This also means I can pocket my iGo when I'm out and about without having the whistle tip fall off. 3 - The greater air flow through a drip tip via the whistle tip means even better performance and flavor!

At least in my book, with a drip tip - the iGo goes to 11!

Grabbed an iGo after reading the beginnings of this thread along with some others... and I got's a question or two. well maybe exactly two (for now)

I haven't used the iGo cartos yet because I haven't found a juice that I love enough to dedicate a 3ml carto to so I've just been using my old 808 cartos. Some came from the bmf site and some are the "drippers" that nhaler sells (identical).

1. Anybody have experience with a different regular size carto that they would suggest? I've read some of the LR/HV carto threads and my head hurts. I guess I don't know where the iGo fits into the scheme of things if it's 4.2v. I'm very happy with the ones I have but wanted to try something different if it might be warranted.

2. I picked up an eGo cone to cover the small 808 cartos but sometimes I inadvertently block the airflow with my lips. I might try to give it a quick mod but would like to try a drip tip first. Could anyone recommend a specific drip tip or would any 808 dt be o.k.

p.s. if it helps my only frame of reference is the bmf mini batts (regulated 3.6v) and some v4l batts that i've used with the same cartos.

o.k. thanks!

I've got the Bloog MF and also the iGo. I prefer the Bloog because it has better taste and more thick vapor compared to the iGo. The iGo is fine for mindless chain vaping but for pure enjoyment I like the Bloog. What I've been doing is putting the Bloog carto on the iGo battery. It burns through juice faster but is a much better experience than the iGo carto. Just my MO right now. I don't use an Ego cone on this combo.

I do love my bloog, but I wondered what iGo folks might be using when it's not the "stock" cone/carto. Obviously bloog batt + bloog carto = mostly good. Perhaps this might have been the wrong place to ask about different cartomizers with this particular device (i'm still new)

Bill and others have already said that the iGo cart works really well. I was just looking for alternatives (and drip tips).

Just got the IGO. Very impressive!! Vaped for 16 hours + although the performance at least on mine tails off toward the end so not sure if it stays at a constant 4.2v. Used both IGO cartos and V4l carts with no issues. Also tried it with an EGO cone screwed on, may look sleeker but tightened up the draw way to much for me. I dont think the airflow is enough with the EGO cone attached.
