+1 on the T3S... I love mine so much, I ordered another; should be here tomorrow. Also got an ARO pyrex today, and it looks really sharp on the iTaste; have only tried it with one juice so far, so jury's still out on how it hits; seemed ok though.

David, I wondered if the charging cord I have for the eRoll could be used? It's also got the mini-USB connector, but a much heavier gauge cable, seems tougher. The one with the iTaste works ok, but it's so flimsy, I'm constantly afraid my natural clumsiness will come to play and just rip it apart.

Not familiar with the eRoll hardware, but the VV3 is actually a micro USB, not mini. That may just be a terminology issue. If they're the same size (i.e. if it fits the VV3) and plugs into the same wall adapter so you know the polarity of its voltage is the same, it should be fine. I found the multi-connector on my VV3 was a nuisance to put in my pocket, and just picked up a generic retractable one, and it works fine.

So even if you do damage the original, replacements can be found all over.

So sad... Misplaced my pearly white v3... Looked high and low everywhere many times hoping I would find her :-( man O' man... My spinner is back in rotation and it just doesn't compare... When I first started using this spinner I was elated as it felt like a big step up from my 900 mah ego... But now, it just seems like its not enough umph! I work at an elementary school so I like to be as descreet as possible on my breaks- even though I walk away from the school to vape... So my MVP is not ideal while at work... I sure miss my v3 and hopw I can have another one soon... For now, I am hopeful that the pwrson who found my freshly loaded carto tank and itaste v3 finds vaping as satisfying as I do and quits smoking...

Yeah it's micro... you know, "itty bitty"... :D The other end is a standard USB, so I guess it's fine. Just didn't know if there way something to worry about, since the eRoll's PCC is 900MaH, and the iTaste is 800MaH. Plus, I use the "pass-thru" feature anytime I'm here at the PC (which, yes, is 3/4 of the time!) and that roll-up doohicky in the middle is annoying, banging on the edge of the desk.

My VV3 with 20 mm patriot rda clone from fasttech.

First coil I successfully wrapped myself... 2nd attempt and I think it turned out nicely all things considered... wick could probably use some work though.

Usually registers around 1.8 ohms, though it tends to jump around before settling back to 1.8.... Weird considering no additional contact with the other metal parts.

REALLY nice micro, Brook! What gauge and wire? And wick can be played with to satisfaction.

It shouldn't jump around. That indicates a poor connection somewhere. Zooming in on your pic, it looks like the positive lead is wrapped from the wrong side of the screw. Loop the kanthal in the direction the screw tightens, makes a better connection.

28 gauge wire. My first real attempt at a micro. Couldn't thread my first attempt. Still missing my insulated tweezers and a torch to build a better micro coil.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by looping the kanthal the way the screw tightens. Do I need to flip the coil around? Or just kinda fidget it with unscrew/re screw?

If you loop the kanthal the wrong way you will have to fight against the screw to keep the loop on.

Looking down on the center post, in your pic, the wire should go clockwise around the screw.

The center post actually has holes off center on a diagonal. Not sure if that's typical or a cheap clone. I actually think it is threaded fine and just needed to tighten the screw.

That seemed to fix the jumping around issue.

As for the wick, no idea if I should trim or leave long. Don't know the benefits of it, doesn't seem like the long ends moves the juice to keep the center saturated. Just saying.

Anyway, next time I reinstall one, I'll make sure it loops correctly.

Ah, couldn't see the holes in the pic, looked like the wire was looped. Some have holes, some don't. (My Kayfun clone has them through the blocks and the screw clamps straight down.) So if you're through the holes, yup, just a tad loose.

Wick is an "art." Too tight and it won't wick quickly enough. Too loose and it's apt to leak. Just takes some practice - and may need to be changed if you change to a different PG/VG ratio. Should be long enough to touch the bottom, though. Keep in mind that cotton will swell once wet, and that can make what you thought was fine a bit too tight.

True. Luckily this is a dripper so there's not really too much to worry about in terms of wicking fast enough. Just drip more juice as needed. Plus the main reason I got it was to try flavors. So regular wick replacement is common.

My philosophy with cotton... Should slide thru pretty easily when dry, If it isn't, re do it.

The wick in the pic is actually doing a fantastic job with Boba's Bounty... something that I'd retired due to wicking problems in my other toppers (not to mention higher nic dose than what I use now).

I'll post a pic after I've removed the wick for a better look at the coil and posts.

Woo hoo! My Igo-L from slow tech should arrive tomorrow. Gives me another chance to make a micro coil. Still need to get a torch and insulated tweezers. (So much trouble finding the right kind of tweezers... Any suggestions welcomed)

Also thinking about doing a braided micro coil, but think I should probably get higher gauge wire since I don't really want THAT low res of a coil. I just think the braided one looks REALLY cool.

Amazon has some great tweezers, along with good prices for a torch. I use a cigar lighter from the local convenience store.
Rip Tipper mentioned in a video that he got his tweezers and scissors from his grocery store.

I want the tweezers rip trippers uses. Lol. I was having trouble finding flat/blunt insulated tweezers. A lot on amazon are too pointy or flipping expensive. I'm sure they'd work fine though.

Next time I'm charged with grocery duties, I'll look and see what is available way down here.

I went to home Depot... They had this sweet torch, then I saw it was $20. I could get a decent one from a gas station or cigar shop for $5. But, won't have an opportunity to look until my puppy recoups a bit since she got spayed today.

Well I've gotten a couple good days of use out of my new iTaste V3.0. I ordered the complete package since I needed new clearomizers anyway so I figured I'd pay an extra $10 or so and get them all together instead of paying like $20 somewhere else and I wanted to try the iClear 16s anyway. The only thing I don't like about the iTaste so far is the battery life but that seems to be the general consensus here anyway. It's quite annoying how my Vision Twist battery lasts twice as long as this one. I tested out my old Vision VTs with the resistance feature to see why they weren't working and it read non so I'm assuming that means there's an open circuit in them but I don't understand how a brand new clearomizer works fine and then randomly goes out a week and a half later. I like the features on the battery, I don't really have much use for the vw feature since I use the same clearomizers but I found a good wattage that works well so I figured I'd just keep in that way instead of messing with it. It's really helpful to be able to tell how much battery is left and the light on the power button helps alot (I charge it when it gets to about 3.7V). I just got new eliquid flavors as well so I can't compare the flavor to my old stardusts but the iClear 16s seem to have better flavor and vapor production from the extra wick in it so I'm quite impressed with them. I'm most likely going to make my iTaste my at home battery and my Twist my battery for when I go out. The only thing that I can think of that would make the iTaste better is a larger battery but I'm satisfied with it.

I really haven't noticed any issues with the battery life, but then I'm at the computer nearly all the time, so I use the "pass-thru" feature so it stays plugged in pretty much all the time, even though I'm using it.

I suppose if I was someone who was away from the computer or a power outlet a lot of the time, I'd definitely get another battery; I plan to do that anyway, just as a "security blanket" -- anything I have to do to stay off the smokes, that's ok with me, and I've noticed on ebay you can get the express kits pretty cheap. I've been looking at all the diffrent kinds of batteries available, and unless I want to go with something like an eGo, the iTaste is pretty cheap, a lot cheaper than a lot of the others.

Based on all the info I've seen here, I've stopped leaving it charging when I go to bed; I just make sure it's got a full charge when I turn it off for the night, so it's ready to go in the morning. I start vaping while getting dressed, so that by the time I hit the kitchen and computer, I'm pretty much over my morning-smoke craving, and then I can plug in the iTaste when I hit the kitchen/computer, and all is well.
