I agree. I never noticed such a taste difference until I tried a new acrylic tip. I also at times thought my lip burned using the Kanger metal tips. In any event all those metal tips are gone.

I prefer any thing but metal on my clearo's bit for some reason love the metal tip on my I-go L.

Your I-go L must have a drip tip made of metal which gives off no metal taste. Does that tip work on your clearo's?

That's because the Igo L had a frigging cool drip tip!

It really is just an awesome drip tip. No metal taste and it is stylish also. I ordered a couple extra and my vape "friends" were all over them. I only have one left right now. It is a standard (510?) drip tip.

AndriaD I got two different wooden tips from DV for this summer's heat. I don't have a carto. They are a bit loose in my Aspire vivi nova but so are the plastic ones from years ago. Aspire must use a different size than everyone else.

I was looking at those wooden ones, but I dunno, wood on stainless just doesn't look quite right or something. Glass seems to fit the motif better. I'm using the glass one now, and good lord, it really is the same size right at the tip as those Slims I used to smoke. It's uncanny. I went for that eRoll cigalike at first, but it's a lot fatter than the Slims; this drip tip on a carto on my iTaste is a lot closer to what I remember! :D

Not very stylish but we got a bag of the soft tip covers for the metal Aspires. The metal was making my wife's lips blister.

Yeah I took the shorter "condom" that it comes in, and cut a small hole in the end and put on the aluminum one that night it burned my lips. Damn lips are tender! But that soft silicone feels kinda icky on your lips, so I'll stick with glass and plastic, and I've seen some stone and jade ones that I admire a great deal, but they're a bit more expensive. Maybe when we get the refund, I can get a couple of those; DiscountVapers has a black jade one, but no pic yet... it's 5.99 so not out of the ballpark, but that's the same price I just spent on a black MT3S, for that eGo-C Twist I'm getting, which is black. I looked at the joyetech various parts, because I still have some unused type-a atomizers, but mehhh... They don't hold very much; the MT3S holds almost 3ml, and the coils are the same as my T3S's.. :D Which I also ordered a 5-pk of! I've heard that discountVapers has excellent shipping, so maybe it'll be here by Saturday, though right now the tracking page says Monday... I've had some pkgs show up a day early.

I've got vapemail coming tomorrow from desert vapes again... that 2nd vv3 battery, ordered Chameleon this time; also a 30ml of cinnamon redhot! woohoo! and 10ml of a new one I haven't tried, called Autumn Spice, supposedly like spicecake. I like that kind of flavor a lot, so it's a good transition to sweeter flavors. Also I thought it might perk up that Constant Comment a little, it's a bit bland.

I need to go to bed early tonight, like when I was a kid on christmas eve... it makes the next morning come faster! :D :D :D

Have you ever seen/tried/heard of ceramic drip tips? They are outstanding, in every way, and quite inexpensive. FT has several styles. I can't recommend them highly enuf. I've the Mings in every color and have gifted several to friends. They are amazing, truly. The look and feel of glass (almost), cool, and resistant to lip stuffs. I think you might like them a lot!

If you like skinny skinny, these are anodized, so not quite as "comfy" as glass or ceramic, but the thinnest I've ever vaped.

Question
I'm not at all interested in rebuilding or anything technical past replacing a coil, but I'm wondering if I can get better results form a better topper for my itastes. Currently using the ones that came with it and Kanger Mini Protanks. I'd appreciate any recommendations, and I stress again that I do not want to get into futzing with the things. I am also interested in advice on what might be the next step up form the itaste, again easy-breezy (not happy with how easy it is to flatten out the connection). Thanks!

What toppers came with your "kit"? I've seen different ones from different vendors.

The first question is whether you prefer top or bottom coils. (The mini PT is bottom, many of the ones in the "full" kits I've seen are top.) Both types can be just replace the head and vape, so it's a question of what you like, there.

Glass (pyrex) is nice, since you never have to worry about tank cracking juices. The mini PT2 and Davide mini fit that in bottom coils, as does the Aro 1. Moving away from glass, the Kanger T3S (or MT3S with it's metal cover, otherwise identical) works well and looks good on the VV3.

Can't say anything about top coils, I gave them up for Lent. Last year :)

Hmm, next step "up" gets harder. The MVP2 is a great device, but a box mod and not everyone likes that. (Although it's smaller and lighter than you'd think.) Size, shape and price range are things you need to decide on. I like the multi-button mods (SVD, Vamo etc), some prefer the single button ones. I also like devices that have both 510 and ego threads, to keep my topper options open without adapters.

So give us a few more clues on those issues, and we'll be happy to help you spend your $$$$

I second the MVP2. It's smaller than it looks in pics so it fits in the hand great. Battery lasts a long time. All toppers I've tried so far fit. My favorite topper for my VV V3 have been the Smok RBC. They are cheap, vape great, and protank coils fit them.

Have you given any thought about carto tanks? They are easy to use, no rebuilding anything, and gives a great vape. They look like a regular glass topper, but have a cartomizer which needs to go in it and lasts for several weeks. IB Tanked is my go to vendor and their customer service is excellent.

That looks nice. It's glass, so would work with volatile juices? And I looked at IB Tanked and there are way too many options. Could you advise me on what I should order? (Be nice, I'm old, and trying to get older!)

I'm older then you are. What I did at the IB Tanked site was to click on the complete tank button. I picked the 19mm size with the stainless steel end caps option. As far as tube size you can choose the standard or XL size. I skipped the add color option that gives you a clear tube or tank. Next is cartomizer size. If you choose standard size tube you need to pick standard size cartos. If XL tube you need XL cartos. With that said I use the Smok 3.2 ohm 2 punch cartos. If you buy 10 or more the price drops (good deal).

Next is the drip tip which I didn't buy. The final option is the Handy refilling tube. Make sure you get one as it makes changing a carto easy and it's cheap to buy. Then it's just add to cart. Now if you want a cheaper drip tip click continue shopping and go to the accessories button and choose drip tips and click acrylic or ceramic. Now choose your drip tip.

I hope this helps as I went step by step. You can put any juice in the IB Tanked and not worry. The glass is thick and strong. You can also learn a lot about IB Tanked right here by going to: IBTanked

Thank you VERY much! Printing this out. I truly appreciate the step-by-step help. As I've said before, I have lots of hobbies already, and fooling around with mechanical devices is not something I have any knack at.

Why would the MVP be better? more powerful battery? Doesn't it have the same issue with the connector being easy to tamp down?

Yes ex New Yorker. Manhattan to Westchester County. I'm like you and I don't have time to go into rebuilding coils which is why I decided on the IB Tanked system and because it does give a better flavor to the juices.

The MVP2 does last a lot longer, but I have not had a connection issue with the VV3 and MVP2 since using the cartos which utilizes the 510 connection. Glad to be of help.

Yeah, as I said, the stone, jade, and yeah the ceramic would be right up my alley.

But you misunderstand what I mean about skinny -- I mean at the TIP:

skinnyglassdriptip.jpg

Having it flared like that at the tip defeats the whole purpose of having it be skinny in the middle -- the glass is skinny at the tip, but pretty much of even width all the way down, so I get a good hit from it, and it's a familiar shape at my lips. I'll be getting more of these!! :thumb:

Anyway, got my vapemail! -- shown below, plus the vapemail, the Mini PT II, I got Wednesday. I love that Chameleon!

vapemail!.jpg

Also, got email that e5cigs (hong kong) is "processing" my order, so it's nice that they got right on it, instead of letting it sit there for a while. :thumb: I've heard that that is one frustration dealing with FT, when it just sits there and they don't start processing it, so I'm hopeful that it might be closer to 2 wks than 3 for delivery.
