IMO price is absurd, great innovations and safety features but way overpriced. $50-75 more of a legitimate price point even with the safety features.

Are you kidding me? I agree with you on it being "over priced" but $50-75 is under priced. Looks like you want them to go from one extreme to another. I would say they should have sold it for about $140 for the whole way instead of the sales pitch of get them soon and pay less.

The safety features are great for people who need to be "baby sat" so to speak when it comes to doing something stupid with a Mod like useing a low resistant atty on a 5volt device but I think it is a little overkill (IMO) but it is a great device.

All I'm saying you want to sell more units the price points got to be less than a 100.00 bucks. R&D costs aside, the parts used and assembly of this unit is less than 50 bones, and once you start mass producing it's even less, so you're telling me that they have a mark up of more than 120 percent per unit c'mon man. If your a cottage industry startup biz than you've got to attract customers through the price point.

Don't get me wrong the device looks great and it's where mods need to be "safe". I'm sure that they put a huge amount of time and money into developing it. But you can't make back those R&D costs off the first 100 or so units you sell. In the end people are pretty smart they realize the cost involved in maching a tube, connectors leds wires and computer chips with regulators its not a 170 dollars.

Do you guys commenting on the price realize that it comes with 4 LiFePo batteries and a charger? That's conservatively around $40 worth of the price right there - probably more like $50.

Actually, it's more like $25 max. Here's 2 of them with a charger for $17:

2 RCR123A 3.0V 750mAh Rechargeable LiFePO4 Li-Ion Batteries with AC/DC Smart Charger

And I agree - it's way overpriced at $170. Why would I want a 5 volt tube for $170 when I can get a number of other 5v mods at well under $100?

...or a Buzz with a full voltage adjustment at $115?

Add to that the fact that the 2 prior Vaprlife mods I bought when I was just getting into this failed miserably in multiple ways and their customer service downright sucked, and this is a no-brainer for me. A big fat pass all around. ;-)
