Way. WAY overpriced. If this thing is not made of solid gold or something, that price is just absurd. If it was a double kit like most Joye 510 or ego kits, with two of everything, including atomizers, batteries, charger, and a pass-through this price would still be a tad high. The materials to make this stuff is like $4 - $8, less if you buy bulk as anyone selling them would. $170 for one "battery tube" is just...insulting.

"It's not just a battery tube!" No, it's a battery tube with $12 worth of extras thrown in...not $120 worth of extras.

well, mine's been sent in for RMA, I loved the device while it lasted, only got 6 days of use out of it and now I have less than 60 days left on the warranty. I hope it lasts when it comes back, I dont' think I'll be around to get the upgrade in 4 weeks,,,

Another note, I asked since they're adding the varible voltage regulator if we could use the 3.7 volt batteries. The reply I got was no, keep using the 3 volt LifePO4. Don't make much sense to me since the BUZZ can use the 3.7 volt batteries. I want longer battery life out of mine. I'd like to see a mod come out that has 4 LifePO4 batteries run in 2 tubes of 2 bateries up each side, regulated to 5 volts... Be alot more battery life that way and wouldn't take up alot of room. Should also fit in a back pocket really nice.

3.7 volt batteries are a little longer than the 3 volt and maybe that's why the Joker can't use them.

seems to me that there's plenty of room at the bottom for a little longer battery at the bottom, I figured it must have something to do with their cut off protection. I'll tell you what though, once my warranty is out, I'm gonna give it a try, I won't to see if I can get a little battery life out of it. If I screw something up with it, I'll just take it apart to see what makes it tick, maybe just need a larger varible resistor to handle to extra voltage.

LOL, well mine lasted another 6 days before acting up again. This time the protection circuit startted kicking in and won't let me get a full hit after it warms up just a bit. Back off for RMA, 3rd times a charm huh. I've only been able to use mine a total of 12 days since I bought it.

Mine has been frying a few attys again. My GLV-2 5v PV never fries em. That confirms it, this thing was poorly made and overpriced at that. The vaper talk store and dietsmokes just suddenly stopped selling it. Guess they are tired of sending out replacements..

Switched my Joker to an 801 connection, so far so good. My faith is a big fat Zero though.

LOL, When mine came back from this last RMA, it came with an 801 atty and adaptor. I may give that a try myself.

On another note, I've burnt up enough money in the past in anologs @ 2ctns a week, but at least I was sort of enjoying that! I haven't had much of a chance to enjoy this. I hate to talk bad about a product but the track record don't look too good from my end.

I'm guessing the 801 adapter minimizes the heat transfer between atty and the unit - i've noticed heat damage related issues in many devices and wondering if there shouldn't be some sort of 'heat sink' adapter available to address this.

On a side note,

Bustastew, are you happy with your GLV? I'm curious why you bought a joker if you were?

After looking at a few units, i've decided against the Joker and ordered a GLV instead. I'm really tired of failures in batteries and PT's ( Had a PS PT that was returned 3x and still doesn't work, as well as 4 Egos that all failed).

But I will have to say that Vaprlife's USB passthrough is the best PT i've ever owned. HIGHLY recommended. Pricey at $80, but worth the money.

Yes very happy with my GLV-2. And I also have a passthru. I havent smoked the pass thru in awhile because its kind of a backup in case everything else goes to crap.
