Um. I think one of the biggest reasons why a lot of people go into rebuildables is because of the flexibility allowed; the fact that there are many different possibilities and ways of tweaking builds to suit our specific needs or preferences.

The fact, all rebuildables are marketed as tools for advanced users only, so......

I dunno. I for one wouldn't want anything to be dumb down for me.

I used kayfuns exclusively for months; then for a taifun and wow! The flavor from those is miraculous. But. I was missing the same volume of actual vapor.
Took out the airflow tube altogether, dipped the coil to 1.4 and changed to a wide bore drip tip, solved that problem!
On my mech I set her to 0.5 ohm and it'll nock your head back. -it's now my favorite atty.

i wish i had a kfl+ but mines just a kfl....the air hole would need to be drilled, i might buy one to drill out just so if i mess it up i still have one

lol, just because you suck at building doesn't mean it's junk. they just have a learning curve like many things in life. sorry, but gennies are still around and are getting even better in design.

ehh, haven't seen anyone use them in awhile now...they aren't worth the hassell when you can get better performance from kayfun or taifun like products

bought a kraken, built a 1.5 ohm coil and vaped it for like 2 days when i finally said this is junk

And that's why (I think) a lot of people prefer the Kayfuns. Easy(ier) to get a decent setup going. Gennies require some dedication, but will provide an excellent (!) vape.

In all fairness, I spent a whole lot more than two days with my Kayfun before figuring it wasn't to be a "gennie killer" for me. They're just not for me. Do I call them junk? Not at all.

If number of fans was the measure of quality, Justin Bieber must be the best musician of the last decade. ;)

Not sure an "authentic" is really necessary. My KFL+ V2 clones vape pretty much identical to the Svoemesto Authentic. I wish my vape budget allowed me to purchase all original equipment. But with such good clones on the market, it's really hard to justify. I understand the originals have spent tons of time and money for R&D, but this can get pretty expensive even sticking just to the clone market!

This.

The true end of this argument is that our lungs aren't intended to inhale anything but good clean AIR.

My two cents.... Ill take cotton over silica any day. The REAL end of this argument: Dirty air vs glass particles trapped in lung tissue for the remainder of one's life. I respect those opinions who choose silica over cotton but I've sworn off using silica "anything" two years ago and won't go back.

Your guys do realize you were willing to inhale tar, before taking up this new hobby, right?
Not to mention the other insane list of poisons....

Can we just drop the silica debate thing, it is so stupid.

Stop being hypocrites, we are all still inhaling something our lungs were never designed to inhale.

Now, I have an opposite opinion ... I starting making wicks for my Kayfun Lite-Plus out of cotton balls like so many others do. Then I switched to using cotton yarn. That vaped about the same as the cotton ball wicks, but was easier to build as far as I was concerned.

Now I switched wick material again ... I am now using Ekowool braided silica to make my wicks ... there are some big differences between the cotton yarn and the braided silica:

1. The silica lasts so much longer than a wick made of cotton.

2. After a couple of tankfulls of juice, the juice don't start turning a very dark color when using the silica.

3. I am convinced that the vape quality is the same as with cotton, but the flavor is better with the silica.

4. I used to get tank flooding every so often using cotton yarn ... Now I make a wick using the same length of braided silica, and I have never experienced a flood anymore ... not one!
__________________________

So, I am finished with cotton wicks for my Kayfun

I may be wrong, but I don't think glass particles are getting into my lungs from a silica wick that is saturated with juice all the time. I just can't see it happening.

We weren't debating I tried making a point when someone started giving me an obsurd reason why I should not use something I like.
I've been vaping long enough to know what I like.
I don't tell other people that something is bad and I don't want other people telling me what to use through absurd reasoning, last no checked most organic plant material bought at the acerage grocery store or restaurant and consumed is treated with pesticides. That's why they use the magical water. And sterile cotton is sterile for a reason.
As one of the other posters said; we had no issues with cigs; this has to be better.
I just didn't like the taste from silica; taste is subjective. what works is different for each individual. I don't hate, but feeling the need to explain my every move to inter web phantoms is severely agitating, I'm a grown up.

It is so not worth the effort.
