I'm thinking because I have it cranked to max its safety limit is cutting off..meters reading 3.8 but maybe when its under load its enough to cut off

The Kick, regardless of device, is pretty sensitive to its contacts being dirty/oxidized. Since they are brass, clean periodically, including the ground and also clean your mod where the ground spring touches the side of your mod.

On the 3.8v, keep in mind that loaded voltage maybe 3.3volts, which is where the Kick cuts off. It can vary depending on battery brand and battery size as well as the device it is being used in.

ya I get a good 4 hours or 3 batteries a day. So I guess this is normal time. Seeing 3.7 left on battery made me wonder if I was getting full use. I guess I am if my use is average. I didnt think there would be a difference between finding a sweet spot with a vv devixe....there is. Precise + is a great device to use it with. It vapes great.

I have the same set-up.
Switched to 2 washers on the button and everything was ok.
Can't say anything about the noise as I haven't
experienced it with any of my Kicks.

I am going to have to keep fiddling with mine as well I suppose because I haven't been able to comfortably use this thing since I got it :( I feel a sense of accomplishment when it actually fires... Every single contact is clean, in fact my P+ is in mint condition so I have no idea what is going on. In case anyone is wondering, I am using the P+ 18650 with the one thick o-ring and 3 washers on the button with a 2.5 ohm atty and the kick is set around 7-8 watts. All I know is the little "tick tick tick" gets really annoying after a while.

Keep me updated on your progress, I had my like new 18500p+with a similar setup 3 washers and one thick and one thin o ring and had a hell of a time getting it to fire some times it would other times it wouldn't unless I pressed really hard. Then I put regular pressure on the switch I got that tick tick tick like you described, kind of sounds like the second hand on a watch if you were to put it up to your ear.
anyway i plan on reconfiguring my p+ to one washer and o ring setup like people are telling me works with the the 18500 but haven't got around to it yet.

This might sound crazy but for some reason it seems like when I unscrew the bottom button assembly and put it back on my P+ that it starts working right for a while. I actually just did it and it is firing perfectly at the moment with barely any pressure on the button. I will keep you posted though ;)

Edit: Nevermind, it's a no-go again

Tip of the day for ALL PrecisePlus and Precise Owners:

When using the PrecisePlus make sure you tighten the bottom rhodium plated switch screw in post with a screwdriver.
I get a lot in that are only finger tight or worse yet, completely loose! The screw needs to be tight to make a proper ground!

The bottom switch screw in post being loose is akin to having a loose battery cable on your car and you will get poor/intermittent firing.

I just got a P+18 and a Kick in the classies here in the UK.

Liking it a lot, but the Kick tends to misfire a lot.

Thinking of abandoning the Kick altogether and just use the P+ it's so nice.

One thing though. I have all 4 washers on the button. I like the really short throw but it still fires withe switch locked. Think I need to remove 1 :).

Speaking of Kicks, I have been watching your site closely for when the Kicks go back up for sale. Also, when do you expect having the P+18650's back for ordering? Thx

We have a batch of 18650's in the works, hopefully towards the end of May they should be done. Kicks, i'm not sure on, waiting to hear back from Evolv and i'll post up what i find out.

Can I put a deposit on an 18650 or pay in full for it? I don't want them to sell out as with my luck you will probably have them back in stock the day I leave for a multi-day business trip.

I'm not taking any preorders, but i can tell you we have enough being made up that we won't run out for quite a while :)
