I hear what you are saying. From what I've seen of the DNA40's they are like supercharged vaporizers. I'm sort of a VW kind a guy -- happily putting along holding back traffic on the hills.....lol. I keep wondering how well I'd tolerate the hotter vapor. I'm a flavor chaser and it does make me wonder how my juices would taste @ lower Ω's. Maybe one of these days...... I have the Lemo, just need the "power unit".
Thanks for your comment.....

Because of temp limiting and the ability to regulate the low resistance of nickel builds doesn't mean that it's a warm or hot vape, I'm running a .1 ohm build right now and if anything it's a little cooler than the 1.7ish ohm kanthal builds I was running before in the same topper. Wicking is more important with a nickel build on a dna 40 device though, less than ideal wicking will create hot spots which will cause the device to throttle back voltage creating a weak vape.

Does anyone know of any good deals on the Lemo right now?

Tried a spaced kanthal coil in one of the Lemo's tonight, and I'm happier with this go-round.

I stuck with 26ga, simply for durability. This time I free handed it on a 2.4mm bit instead of the larger machine screw I used before. With 7 wraps it's reading 1.0Ω on my iPV Mini.

Running at 24 Watts, it's a pretty darn good vape. Warms up quickly, great flavor, and great vapor production. I'm going to carry this one with me all day tomorrow and see if I like it better in the long term over my go-to Lemo contact coil build.

I did the same thing with mine. I wrapped it 5 times for 0.7 ohms. I love this and will never build it any other way on my lemo.

I did a spaced coil.
26g 2.5mm 10 wraps = 1.3Ω
Its going very well I use at 16-17w atm. rayon in this one, I'm usually going one wick rayon next one kgd.

Im looking for a practical cooling solution to cool down the tank when it gets too hot from chain vaping.

Solutions ATM;
1) wrap a paper towel soaked in cold water to keep the tank cool.
2) run cold water over the tank for 3-5min every 15min.

Other wise the Sig100+ errors out telling me that Atomizer is too hot to fire.

Running 24g at 0.71 ohm, 7 wraps and 3mm coil. Spaced coil. Vaping at 24watts on Sig100+.

Another solution that i have not tried, is using an electric motor heat-sink on the tank it self.

I know i know, you dont have that issue. But when i vape, i chain vape a lot and the tank gets very hot. And i dont want to go with lower gauge wire such as 28g. If i do use 28g, then coils resistance will increase. I would like to keep ohms around 0.6-0.7.

I tried a 0.5ohm coil with 24g, 5 wraps and 3mm. And i got a constant dry hit. I will revisit 4 and 5 wrap coils with 0.4-0.5ohm coil builds this weekend in hopes i can eliminate dry hits. But in the mean time im looking for a practical cooling solutions.

I wonder if there is a way as Im thinking the mod is reading the temperature of the 510 connection , so even if the tank was cooled that may not change anything.

Im not sure what you mean.

If i cool the tank, then the Mod(Sig100+) fires with no issues.

The tank (Lemo Drop) does get very hot to the touch. Not finger burning hot, but its close to it.

I have no idea why your get the error. I chain all the time with my segelei 100w @ 27-30w sometimes even 40w depending on the juice with 1.2 ohm ,4mm ID, and 26 guage wire. never have i got an error. same goes for when i was using .7 ohm 26 gauge with 3/32 ID and vaping @ 30w.

My tank has only gotten warm one time, but even then it didn't error out.

I dont know how the Mod measures the temps. I just need to keep the Tank it self(Lemo Drop) cool at all times when chain vaping.

i was just thinking, maybe do a vertical coil.
or
you try WeirdWillie bridge method but with more cotton like newphreak's :

The reason why i think one of these would work. Is you would have more cotton holding more juice and in return it would allow the juice to help keep your tank cooler.

just an idea i don't if it would work, but its worth a shot.

Sigh, one of my co-workers have found it funny to start tipping my mods and hide them in weird places. So today my lemo broke down, vs rdna40 won't read it at all, and ohm meter jumps all around the place. So there's a poor connection somewhere. But I have cleaned the mod and taken everything apart, since it was leaking all over the place while being sideways with little juice left. What on earth could have bad connection? I've tried adding a spacer from some plastic in the bottom cap, to ensure connection between the positive post. But that didn't change a thing.
I guess on monday his car rims will sit flat on the asphalt since it's fun to play with personal equipment. His tires are as cheap as this damn mod.

Regardless of what you'll do to your co-worker (I'd be pretty livid if someone was messing with my stuff), I do understand your Lemo issues. It's my favorite mod when it's working correctly, but it seems very fussy with my rDNA40.

For me, the problem is usually with either the 510 pin screw or the connection in the bottom cap.

I've found that the 510 screw cannot be loose enough to have any wiggle or it won't read correctly. I've also had to add a spacer to the bottom cap to ensure that it is tight. I still have issues, mainly due to the short 510 pin. It needs to be unscrewed a turn or so to meet with my mod, but too far and it's a flaky connection.

And yes, I've tried adding a washer underneath the 510 pin screw and found that it makes things worse, even though it allows the screw to be snug. Not really sure why this is.

Again, I love it when it works, but it's my most temperamental topper.

Is it just the Lemo that has problems on the VS?

I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm getting my lemo soon..ish when my new istick gets shipped. What wire do you get in the box to play with? Ill get some different ones to play with after. I'm sure my coils will be bad to start with but i cant wait to get playing about. :)

It comes with a few feet of 26g Kanthal.

Thank you. Should be enough to start making a couple of bad (hopefully not too bad) coils. :)
I was looking at the steam calc thing ,now i know what wire i can have a better play with it to get an idea of what i can do. I'm tempted with a dual parralel i think as it doesn't look too advanced. If all goes well i may see how bad i can make a clapton look once i do a wire order.

i too have been thinking of trying a duel coil in my lemo.
i think 28 gauge would be a better choice for duel coil. but i guess that it depends on what ohm you want.
