Nailed it! That's exactly what I had been referring to.

That's a snazzy looking tip. Do you know the dimensions of it?

I got a few of these some time ago from a guy on ebay (seller ID 3rdeyedriptips ) you can search his listings, good seller prices vary due to auction.

Friction Fit Custom Wide Bore Acrylic Drip Tip w Delrin Insert by 3RDEYEDRIPTIPS | eBay

I measured one of mine:

Tip outside: 14.72 mm
Tip height: 15.38 mm
Insert outside: 8.69 mm
Insert inside: 7.58 mm
Overall height: 20.40 mm

These have the widest bore I have seen on any drip tip, I really like the friction-fit without o rings, really maximizes size of openings. I'm a lung hit guy. I do not like metal tips at all. They also fit Kayfuns, Drippers, and are perfect on all my Lemos (all my other tanks and drippers are in storage now).

Billowpro by Synervape Friction Fit Delrin Drip Tip w 3XL Wide Bore | eBay

The BillowPro are the ones shown on my avatar, I like them a bunch too.

:D:D:D

Hope this helps

Perhaps you can elaborate? 7mm x .5 dies are available on amazon and ebay.

I don't believe it's a commonly included size with most metric tap and die sets. At least, it's not included in the mechanics set I have for work.....

I did throw this in the cart last night after reading this thread. I don't need them at the moment, but you never know, and I got an Amazon gift card left from Christmas burning a hole in my pocket. ;)

They also had a bottoming tap listed, which might be helpful to fix some mod threading.

The first few threads in a die are tapered just like the first few threads on a tap, so he won't be able to cut complete threads. And when I said I doubt he'll find one, I meant at his local hardware store. If he has to order something, order another Lemo. It would probably be cheaper in the long run.

True B, the first few threads are tapered for starting the die straight however the Lemo 510 stub is undercut to compensate for that. I think it'll work just fine. Even if the die bottoms out against the base before completing all the threads the die can be flipped over to chase the remaining one or two to complete the process.

Dies aren't designed to cut backwards, just like taps aren't designed to cut backwards. (the flutes aren't on center, so instead of having a positive rake angle, it will have a negative rake angle...not good, especially for stainless steel) Being that it will be such a small amount of metal left to remove, it might work (I'd try it, if I already had the die) But I wouldn't order a die when I could order a new part at a comparable price.

Also, we don't really know what size it is, so even if he has success cutting the threads, they may be too small to hold well.

Thanks, for the link!:) My local search is over without any success!:( It's beginning to look like.that will be the only way I'll ever get it working! No response from eleaf,or the vendor!:glare: I did notice that eleaf doesn't warrentee, any product that is purchased from anyone, other than directly from them? This doesn't make any sense,if it's OEM/non clone, and they wholesale it to vendors, why in the world wouldn't they stand behind their products,if they want to sell them to vendors?

Thanks for that B. Looks like the undercut section of the 510 stub is about 2.5mm in length, eyeballing, so I guess as long as there's not more than 4-5 tapered starter threads in the die it would work. You're right too about the size...don't know what dia it should be for proper threading. You?

It should be 7mm. It's kind of hard to tell from the picture, but it looks kinds messed up. If it measures big enough, and If he can get a die easier and or cheaper, then it's probably worth a try.

I would call your vendor. He should make it right.
Otherwise dispute the CC charges. They sent you a defective product.

It is plenty big enough! Those little tiny marks you see in the picture, are just that,I can hardly feel them dragging my finger nail across them. I doubt if I will purchase another lemo, unless this one impresses me a lot (if I ever get it up and operating).

I've still got the Kanger mini Sub Tank, and the Little Boy RDA to use,so all isn't bad! The sub tank has good flavor, but not like a RDA. I was really excited to try out the lemo, after reading the good post on it. 001 (21).jpg

B2T, said it before, wick heavier and your dryhits will go away. I mean, really chunky wick that beatch! Roll the wick down between your fingers to get it through the coil. I'm using a 7/16" wide de-skinned strip of kgd to wick an 1/8" coil, wick angle cut, just touching the deck as shown in one of my previous posts. Vaping at 40w with no dryhits. No primer puffing. This ain't no Protank bro....wick it chunky!!

Couldn't agree more. Too little wick will give dry hits. Constantly. Was experiencing exactly the same with 3 builds until I rewicked the old way with more (basically Riptrippers way in his Lemo review). More flavor, no dry hits, enjoyable vaping now.

3.3mm coil, Rayon. I vape this at 30-35 watts, but I hit it several times at 80 watts just to see if it would do it...it did
