Is it safe to submerge the Lemo's base (and other RBAs in general) under water? I'm in the process of cleaning it so it will be ready for its virgin voyage tomorrow. :)

Oh yes. I soak my new atties in alcohol. However, I did mess up the plastic tank of my Erlkonigin clone doing that. So, be careful with plastic. Metal and glass is fine though.

Awesome..thanks for the replies. As I said earlier, tomorrow will be my first re-build and I can't wait. I feel lucky to have the Lemo as my first, actually. For the past year, I have been lurking on the RBA sub-forums while happily vaping my eGo/Nautilus set-up...it's great seeing how this stuff has developed/improved over the course of just one year!

Zombo, if you are like me, I was so anxious to vape my Lemo that I just used the stock coil. It is workin just fine for me.... Though I did re wick it. It was my first RTA as well....but I had been rebuilding Kanger Protank coils.

I am sure you will like it.

The airflow controller hasn't been an issue for me once I figured out just how much you had to spin that controller. It does move on me when cleaning of course...but seems to stay put with routine vaping.

Best and only stock coil I've ever used! I rewicked with Rayon after a dry burn first though...

Yea I was considering using the pre-made with my Japanese cotton, but I'm so anxious to start re-building that I don't think I have it in me to wait longer lol.

Although, I will probably try it, if anything, just to see how a spaced coil vapes....then chuck it and make my own.

I have been waiting over a month to try RBAs: My boss made me a deal...if I could achieve a one year Vapeversary he would buy me a Provari. I reached that goal on 10-9-14 and when I went to buy one I learned there was a P3 coming "soonish", so I decided to wait...and wait...and WAIT....every day felt like a month. :p

So yea, chances are I'm just gonna try the pre-built at a later date.

I'm curious about the spacing in that pre-built coil. I've only seen videos where the individual wraps touch. Is the spaced style not very popular for a reason?

Compressed/touching coils are SOOOO 2013, spaced coils are where it's at :)

Unless you're trying to get the most out of your mech-mod-dripper setup, you don't need compressed coils, although I still have plenty of tanks built with them. With all the high-power devices out there now, making heat isn't much of an issue anymore. And spaced coils make your wicks stay clean a lot longer. IMO, spaced coils taste better, but you know what they say about opinions.

The stock Lemo coil in mine was 26awg at about 1.2ohms, so it took a lot of power to heat. Seems like it vaped best at around 30watts...I know it was kind of a turd at 20watts

I'm only going to have 20 watts to play with (I have been happily vaping at about 10w, so it shouldn't be an issue for me in general). But I'm curious to see how the stock vapes on it now that you bring that up.

I can't handle much over 12.5 watts (on an istick) with any of the juices I am running. I tend to be direct lung hitter though too. I might be able to do a mouth to lung hit at higher power. If you've been happy at 10W , I doubt you'll find it lacking at up to 20.

It'll vape fine at 12watts on the iStick, but it'll take a sec to warm up and cool down. (I reinstalled the factory coil in one of my Lemos and tried it on my iStick for a newb in the iStick thread who was looking to buy the combination. He PM'd me back after he got his iStick/Lemo and was totally happy with it at 10 watts) He even used the Chinese wick!...yuck
