Hey guys, I keep getting dry hit on the last 3-4 times I have re-cottoned. I make sure I fluff the cotton-end and push it down softly after putting the ring on however I am still getting cotton taste all the times. I have a 1.2 ohm coil with 26 gauge and have 8 wraps, I usually vape at 20 watts and it used to produce major vapor but now it's all air. The first few times I used it, it was fine but now after about 2 weeks with it, it's horrible.

Any tips? I keep trying different stuff but it's all the same.

I can only imagine you are blocking the juice channels. I always juice my wick and set it in place before I put my chimney on. I realized on my Kayfuns, same applies to the Lemo, that putting the bottom of the chimney on and then setting the wick in place, could easily lead to using too much wick.

EDIT: This (9:00) is how I wick mine. The video is for a Kayfun, but the same applies with the Lemo. I currently have dual 28g 11 wrap 1.4 ID coils in mine with a resistance of .85. I am vaping at 25watts on my VS and have yet to get a dry hit.

I really like the fact that they machined it thin and lite-weight. Even with them being as big as they are, they're still my lightest tanks. I wish Yiloong would take a lesson from eLeaf (their Foggers are SO heavy!) My only complaint with the Lemo is all the exposed glass, I wish they had a sleeve to cover it. I've only broken one tank so far, but I'm sure it won't be my last.

^^^^^^^ Exactly this. I haven't broken the tank yet...... but with the way I am using this tank all day, every day.in and out of cars / pockets, etc....I am gonna hear a shatter and lose about 4ml of juice in the process. It's inevitable. I agree tho, with as huge as this thing is, if they went with thick steel, it would be too ridiculous with all that weight.

Would some of you guys post pictures of your wicked setups? The only tank I am familiar with wicking is the orchid, and I've pre-ordered a drop.

I assume you are buying the Lemo Drop? I would post up a picture, but have mine filled to the brim at the moment... and really I have kept the pre built coil that the Lemo came with in there right now. If you haven't watched the pbusardo review of the Lemo, I would highly suggest watching that. His video quality is excellent, and I think his method for wicking is probably the most widely used with cotton. That's what I followed and had no issues. I will say that the pre built coil is huge in diameter and it took more cotton than I originally thought it would.

I agree gotta be a wicking problem. What I do is I keep the wick long, pull them upwards when I put the bottom part of the chimney on, then I trim the wicks just about flush with the top of the bottom part of the chimney. That's when I push the wicks down and give it some juice. Also, when I mount my coil I don't line it up straight with the juice channels, I put it at an angle so when I push the wick down I do it so forms kind of a curved "s" shape with only the ends going to the channels. I like this method because you can have a longer wick without running the risk of jamming up your juice channels.

Kind of surprised that people are having wicking issues, I haven't had any problems in this department. Wicking is a finicky thing in any type of rebuildable though, too much can cause clogging, too little and it doesn't wick properly. Give the "s-shape" method I described a few posts back, I've had great luck with it. Like I said before, it's nice because you can keep the wick on the long side without running the risk of clogging the channels.
Also, if you haven't given rayon a try yet, I highly recommend it. I think it wicks better and has less of chance of dry hits compared to cotton. Another nice feature about rayon is when it absorbs liquid, the liquid tends to migrate to the thicker part of the wick. So if you have your wick pretty snug inside the coil and you thin the ends out a bit, you should have pretty good results.

So I went ahead and gave the 28g parallel spaced coil a shot, and it works really well.

@silver smok and kitty frenzy: Don't put any part of the wick in the channels, keep them completely clear. These tanks work off pressure, the juice will feed in through those channels and soak the wick. You don't need the wick to draw the juice into the channel. Blocking those channels with cotton slows the process down, because the cotton will not wick from the channels fast enough. With them clear the juice feeds in at a faster rate providing more juice to the wick.

Here is my current coil:

I know someone makes mesh tank covers, I've seen them. My Google Fu is weak tonight though and can't get the search string down to find something (other than an Aspire) to cover the glass. I still haven't broken mine (I have spares), but I know it's coming...

Does anybody know if these tools will work with the Lemo?

They are meant for Kayfuns. I've never held a Kayfun, but the Lemo is based on it, correct?

Basically, the tools allow you to work on your coil without having to empty your tank.

I'm guessing it would be messy. Unlike the Kayfuns, The Lemo tank is not screwed on. The glass is held by those two o-rings. They would both fit the drip tip but the Lemo chimney is wider than the others so I'm not sure of the fit in the chimney of the first one. Enjoy the day!:2cool:

hey man, I'm also interested in this RTA. I'm using evic supreme and i saw videos where its hybrid with evic supreme, plus the price is really good. do you think its worthed? rip, twisted and other reviewers out there say its the kayfun, taifun etc killer. Im thinking to buy one. thanks

I much prefer the Lemo to the Taifun or Kayfun.

I was able to use syringes to suck the liquid out the fill hole, no problem. I did it a couple weeks ago after deciding I didn't like the intense vape I got from a parallel coil.

After reading much of this thread I decided to get me a lemo. Much to my dismay most online vendors are out of stock. Decided to call my local B&M & they had a black one in stock. Just so happens that is the finish I was looking for. They said they could hold it for me as it was their last one, something I was not expecting. So I picked it up this morning $47 & change with a replacement glass tank. A bit more than online but when not available I'm more than happy to pay this. I'm off to work now so I'll have to wait till tonight to play with my new toy.
