The draw can be tightened to taste. However, I have found the AFC control nut likes to back off and open up during use. The easy correction is to set the airflow to preference and install a spare drip tip o-ring over the center post to hold the position once set.

I wouldn't be surprised if your air flow preference changes over time after using the Lemo. I'm a mouth to lung vaper as well, but I now find vaping a kayfun like sucking through a cocktail straw. I still don't use the Lemo wide open myself, but just a little restriction seems to do the trick for me.
I just put a finger over one or two of the air-holes if I want a tighter draw.

Thanks bud, I havent used my rayon much, LOVED how well it wicks but I always got a...I guess a *very* slight cotton burning taste despite being well saturated and showing no signs of burning. I may be sensitive to rayons flavor or I just havent figured out how to use it since wick in coil density is so different than cotton.
Hopefully I can get it going, I dont really want to water down my juice or buy whole new ratio juice specifically for my tanks.
The Lemo vapes so well at 40-50 watts id love love love to be able to use my max VG that high and maintain wicking.

The best advice I've read for getting the density right, was that it should "squeak" when pulled through the coil, and then "squeegee" it back and forth a few times once it's through the coil.

I know the taste you speak of, and it's why I was originally turned off by it. Once you figure it out, it's really gives a better flavor then cotton. Rayon doesn't really seem to have a taste when it's right, whereas I always taste cotton initially.

where have everyone ordered theirs from?

vapordna.com -- used the code "VC10" -- for a 10% discount. Took the "expedited shipping" option for supposedly 2 - 5 day delivery. I'm guessing that would be what I call Priority shipping. We shall see.

Well if it counts for anything I have about 20 different Atties right now, other than my Hobo v2.1 that I just picked up they all sit on the shelf. I only use my 4 Lemo's. I keep looking at the KF4 but I fear that would just wind up being a $200 paper weight.

I also just picked up a Hobo. That thing ROCKS. Huge well, adjustable airflow, and no leaking. I think its better than my Magma. So along with my Hobo, I will also be primarily using my two Lemos.

EDIT: Oops. It was the Holmes RDA I just got.

Here's a side by side view between the standard lemo & the drop. The IPV3 is a little taller than the sigelei & the drop has a shorter drip tip on it that I found in my junk drawer. Put a 1 . 4 ohm coil in it & at 22 watts my MBV Dutch Apple Pie tastes incredible! On my black drop I'm going to try to build it around .8 or so.

If you have problems with your afc backing off, disassemble, and put a tiny drop of purple low strength locktite on the threads and reassemble, the low strength will keep it in place, but will allow you to make future adjustments, and still hold in place afterwards.
DO NOT USE THE BLUE OR RED LOCTITE you will never get the AFC to move again.
USE Purple only.

I've had my Lemo for about a week now and when it work's it's great, but I'm finding that after about two tank fills my wick stops wicking or slows down dramatically. That or it's if I leave it over night, in the morning the wicking sucks. I'm having to empty it and rebuild it every day now. I've tried using less cotton and that was worse,

I'm using enough cotton now that it has some resistance through my 2mm coil and it's trimmed to just above the first chimney piece. I try to tuck it as carefully as I can and keep the tails close to the deck away from the outside of the chimney so you can JUST see a bit of the juice channels. When it starts to slow down, I can suck real hard on the drip tip and get some bubbles in the tank to go up from the channels and then it's ok for another hit or two, but it still doesn't wick like it was fresh. I have an 11 wrap 26gauge 2mm microcoil and it's right at 1.17ohms running on my vaporshark at 20 watts.

Any ideas on what I'm missing or screwing up? I want to love this thing, but I don't want to rebuild it daily :( When I do rebuild it, the wick is saturated, there's some slight brown around the edges of the coil, but it seems nice and wet still...I am running thick juice and I do have a bit of gunk on the coil at that point as well. When I rebuild it again I'll take pics, I'm usually in too much of a hurry to get it running nice again at that point to take pics.

Try a little bigger coil. I like 2.4mm. I do rewick at least every 3rd tank and I'm running a NET. I also use rayon, which seems to last longer than cotton.

Just my experience but I am finding a spaced coil seems to be working better for me. Each person has their own favorite spot. Mine seems to be 28 / 26 ga with spaced coils. Try a 6 or 7 wrap 28ga spaced coil around a 2.4mm bit. Sees to work for me.

I've read a lot of posts like this lately. Many vapers are switching back to spaced coils.

many vapors are switching back to spaced coil with Ni200 because it doesn't oxidize and insulate the coils from shorting together like kanthal.
We've found with the very small resistances we are working with and as sensitive as the DNA40 is with those very small resistances it is more stable.
even a .02 -.03 resistance change will make a huge impact on vape quality.
However if you are running kanthal I'm still a proponent for tight wrap, tight squeezed micro coils.

Yeah, Brandon from Evolv recommends spaced coils for the DNA40 mods also.

Thanks Willie!

That said, some Kanthal users are also revisiting spaced kanthal coils, especially for vapers who use dark, sweet juices. I watched a promo video for the new Taifun, and the presenter made a spaced coil.

It's all good.
