Anyone have any ideas for a way to extend the 510 pin on the base adapter? I know it can be threaded down, but that loosens the piece inside the adapter. I got my lemo Drop today and put it on my SMPL, amazing combo with a .6 build BTW, but the pin just BARELY clears the threading. Has anyone found a longer pin that would work?

Yes, it loosens the contact in the base, but that contact is held firm when the base section is screwed on. I've had no issues using it this way.

Here is what 50watts does to the coil and the wick. So for long term vaping its safest to keep it under 35watts. But im still getting good flavor even at 40 watts. But im burning through juice way too fast. 15 min of chain vaping and i emptied the tank.

LOL...I think it sounds more like a jet engine whine.

I couldn't relate a jet engine whine to it and I work around aircraft for a living.

Then, I recorded myself taking a lung hit on it just now and I'll be damned.... you're right. It's similar to right after a jet starts taxiing. Lol

My fill hole "screw" started to rust. I dont take it out to fill the tank, but i do wash all my parts with water.

Time to send an angry email to Eleaf.

The crummy chromed fill screw is one of the Lemo's few negatives. I'm surprised they haven't addressed that yet.

The rubber fill plugs are one of the Lemo's many plusses. :)

I switched the drip tip to a cherry vape tip - huge improvement on the whistling.

I never considered trying a different drip tip. Thanks for the idea.....

BTW.... just rebuilt the Lemo using 29 AWG/ ~8 wraps/ ~2.5mm inner diameter/ ~ 2Ω. I know most are going sub ohm but I absolutely love this set up. For snickers I used the cotton that came with the Lemo and it is working just dandy. Nothing special with the wick, did it like I do the Kayfun. What an easy device to work with. Took literally no time to get things set up and vaping again. Great devices!!

That's why I own 6 of them. I literally feel like I can throw anything into it and it works. Each has its own attributes but the Lemo seems to be built to work. One of the least temperamental devices I use.

Yeah, but the SMPL is a hybrid that releases the pressure on the pin after you let off the button, so I was worried about the pin working it's way back up the threading with the battery constantly pushing up on it when I fire it. The pin is not snug at all once you loosen it up. The o-ring fix worked great, I am going to do it to my full size Lemo's when I get a chance.

I noticed a few people installed their coils at a slight angle (30 - 45 degrees) from off center. Is this just for convenience (ie, easier to wrap the wires around the screw) or is there a noticeable performance diff? I am having a tough time using the screw method vs the hole in the post...wire just doesnt stay put. I remember reading earlier that some folks got diff screws? Where did you buy replacements with larger heads?

I could use some advice here. I got a around to building my 3rd Lemo I received last week (was waiting for juice shipment) and it tastes horrible. It tastes like something found in Chinese food. No, I'm not saying that because it came from China, but it's the closest thing it compares to...it certainly tastes nothing like Tribeca should.

I cleaned it by UC with a few drops of dish-liquid, then rinsed it under hot water, then Isopropyl bath for about 45 min, then more UC, and then finally rinsed it under hot water. Did I over-do it? Could there still be some drops of cleaning fluid/alcohol in the air vents?

For my first 2 Lemos, I did everything above, except the UC, and they were fine.

Should I just keep vaping it until the flavor is right? Will that even happen (that is, correct itself)? It's 3am and I don't feel like UCing it atm.

Ive noticed I cant get rid of taste on some tanks unless I scrub the hell out of them with a toothbrush and dawn or similar.

Me again....I rebuilt my Lemo Drop with the same build that I use for my Kayfuns....around 1.6 ohms. I found that I needed to use more cotton then I did with the Kayfuns.

But it doesn't seem to put out the vapor that I get from my Kayfuns at the same voltage. Is this normal or is there anything I can do about it?

More wattage and more inhale. Open AFC all the way.

I know this is going to come across as me being a smart ....., but I'm not trying to be at least this time LOL

Does anywhere on the device, box, or instruction booklet say the word Kayfun?
Then why treat it like a kayfun, no kayfun to date can even come close to a Lemowith the right build.
The Lemo and the Kayfun are two different vapor delivery devices, yes they work in a simular fassion as a vacuum fed tank and have a simular build deck.
But have you ever tried to get a kayfun to deliver a consistant quality, flavorful vape above 20w? It's damn near impossible.
Why small chamber, lack of adequate air flow, and the inability to flow enough juice to the wick.

The Lemo solved all these issues.

First more is better, 2mm-3mm ID coils seems to be the sweet spot, don't be afraid to take it below 1ohm with kanthal, I found for me around .5 to .7 single parallel 28ga kanthal worked best YMMV.
Put some wick in that coil, I've found if you are using cotton, (I use shiseido Japanese cotton) use more than you would with a kayfun, with a kayfun you would pull it through with little resistance, with the Lemo pull it through with allot resistance, almost to where you think it's too tight, it's not but again this is not a kayfun either.

Keep your wick tails away from the juice channels completely.
I built a simple tool to stick down into the juice channels while preping using a folded piece of 24ga kanthal (search a couple pages back)

Learn how to use your airflow and adjust your wattage
If you are running it at 15w with a tight draw even though it can, you may as well stayed with a kayfun you aren't doing the Lemo any justice
Open up some air flow and crank up that power, you'll find flavors you didn't know your juices had.

With the right wicking, and correct air flow adjustments you could chain vape at 100w (if you like a damn HOT vape) and the Lemo will keep up.

If you feel you are not getting enough flavor.
Not wicking enough
Improper air flow adjustment
Not enough power

As another side note not all juices do well at higher power, they taste ok at lower power and less air flow as if they were custom tailored for clero's and kayfuns
but don't do well with more air flow and higher power settings.
