any performance difference?

I guess the only fair comparison is with a kayfun?

I mean, the airflow destroys a kayfun hands down.

The lemo performs waaaaaay better when it comes to Ni200 builds for the dna40. The kayfun's limited airflow coupled with large Ni200 builds results in poor vapor Production, harsher hits and excessively warm vape since too much of the build isn't sufficiently cooled by the airflow. On the lemo it's a huge difference, and it vapes much better.

Vapor production off the lemo blows the kayfun or the r91 outta the water

My only (tiny) grumps would be I still prefer a wider airflow (but this is still good nuff), and I personally would prefer a plastic tank since I'm clumsy as hell and don't vape tank crackers anyway

Oh also, the lemo drop isn't as small as you would expect. It's actually the same size as a full sized r91

Loving the lemo so far. Not sure if it beats the orchid though. Btw how does one REMOVE the AFC completely??

1) remove the bottom section (the base section that has the 510

2) use a flat head screw driver to unscrew the positive pole (the AFC ring is sitting right under it) and pull it out

3) unscrew AFC ring from the positive pole

Thats awesome!! Thanks for sharing!! I'm guessing you never go the full sized Lemo?

Naw. I find it to be too tall for my liking. In fact I just cancelled my order for a full lemo and got another drop instead. I don't mind filling up my tank so the capacity isn't an issue.

If you noticed you can take the lemo off your mod and remove the bottom section with the 510 and see how much airflow you get. Put the bottom back on and even with the afc removed its restricted quite a bit. I drilled two additional holes and it didnt even help much. Then I got crazy and fixed it REAL good! ;)

I posted this before somewhere. Sorry if you already saw it... The Billow has the most open airflow of any stock atty I've tried.

Glad you did that experiment so I don't have to! Seriously though, did the slotting improve the air flow beyond the two additional holes? Seems like the limitation would be the vertical airflow tube with 6 holes in the base. Just curious.

Thats what really gets me! The vertical airflow tube is so awesome yet restricted only by the screw on base! Much to my surprise it was a very big difference from two extra holes to the putting the slots in! You can see the difference yourself by trying with the base on and then off. After I put the slots in its like the base is off! :toast:

wait, 6 holes?? All 3 of mine only have 4 horizontal holes in the center post. I guess they changed designs a little after I got mine.

Picked up my third Lemo today ... all my Kayfuns are resting peacefully in a drawer, waiting to be given to new vapers/analog-quitters. :D

Love these things. So simple, and work so good. I have the airflow wide open, which is just about perfect for my flavor-chasing needs. A nice, slow draw = huge cloud of tasty vapor/flavor. Running between 17 and 22 watts with 30AWG Ni200 spaced coils, ~9 wraps @ .22 ohms.

I did replace the insulator under the thick block in the twist-on base with a thick rubber O-ring. This seems to have helped any connection issues I was having before with my DNA40 mod.

Had to increase my regular E-Liquid orders... going up to 17-22 watts from ~12-14 or so on the Kayfuns == sucking the liquid down like crazy, I can't help it though. So tasty!

I hear that, every 2 weeks I'm buying 240ml of juice from Nicoticket
120ml Wakonda
120ml Frenilla
and I think I'm going to have to buy another 120ml of Virus this time because I'm down to my last 200ml
Dang that's going to be almost $200 for juice, not complaining because they are well worth the price.
I told everyone that this year for Christmas just get me Nicoticket gift certificates. :2cool:

Haha, good idea on the NT gift certificates! I should do the same! Rocking the Wakonda in my newest Lemo as I write this. I've got a 30ml of The Virus about halfway gone and a 60ml steeping/waiting. The other two are rocking some Five Pawns varieties.

Do you notice the NET NT varieties pop and crackle a little more? I only notice it on the NET liquids. Pops of flavor. Not a bad thing, but startling at times...

The beauty of having 4 Lemos is always having one to try and experiment with. I have a vapershark dna40 but I haven't gotten a good build out of ni200 yet. The wire is always too fragile to wick for me for some reason. Just did a 9 wrap of 28ga ni200 that I torched before wrapping and I'm trying that on my DNA 40. So far so good. Seems that 350 degrees running at 30 watts gives me good vapor and no dry hits now. Coil is spaced and reading .25 ohm on my device. Let's see how the rewick goes next.

Whoa, 350 at 30watts? Are you hitting TP every pull? Not that it's a bad thing, but 350 seems a little cool in my experience especially with 30 watts. My Lemo's would hit TP instantly with those settings. :D

Still messing with settings. Not sure where I like it yet. Seems like going over 400 gives me dry hits. Could be a wicking issue. Just upped it to 380. Tp kicks in but the nice thing about TP is you just vape through it. I love the idea of never burning my cotton, that's why I bought the dna 40 in the first place.

I am on the quest to find the perfect vape, which I know will never happen, but that's what makes it fun. I never stay on any setting for very long.

I'm running out of my steeped stock Nicoticket darn near faster than I can get new stock rotated in
on the poping I've found that is more due to coil build than juice, I've had it happen more often with twisted coil builds for some reason  but if I do single or parallel coils I rarely get any poping here lately I've been doing my flat wound parallel 30ga Ni200 coils and have had wonderful success.

Ah, I was suspecting my twisted builds as well, so am back to single 30awg. The twisted was giving me VIOLENT popping. Still get some popping with the NET liquids on single 30awg but they're no longer "hit the deck and cover my head!!" violent, thankfully!
