I think im going to buy the Lemo in the not to distant future. It will be my first rebuildable and i have a couple questions. Right now i vape with the nautilus/nautilus mini on a MVP2, If i build 1.6 ohm coils will the Lemo work good on the MVP2? If not what would you guys recommend for a decent but cheap mod to start with, Id rather not spend a lot of money on something i may end up not wanting to use.

Yeah, you could run the Lemo on the MVP2, but not to it's potential. You could throw a 1.6-1.8 ohm 30 gauge coil on it and get OK results at 11 watts, but it wouldn't be great.

Larger coils with more mass and surface area create more vapor, and more flavor, but also require more wattage. I've been using the Lemo anywhere between 20-30 watts, depending on the build. I like thicker clouds and more flavor (who doesn't?), so a 28 gauge 1.8 ohm build takes at least 20 watts to perform how I like it. 26 gauge builds around 1.0-1.2 ohms take a bit more.

The IPV mini would be a good fit, along with several other mods. IMO, anything over 50 watts isn't really necessary, but now and then I'll grab an RDA and some 24 gauge and push some serious wattage (60-80 watts). That's pretty rare for me, though.

It's all about the build - thicker wire and bigger coils generally produce more vapor, but they also require a lot more power and airflow. If I were using 30 gauge builds, I'd probably be using 10-15 watts on the Lemo. My sweet spot is around 1.0-1.2 ohm 26 gauge @ 24-28 watts, or 1.6-1.8 ohm 28 gauge @ 20-24 watts.

BOOM!

I'm going to get an ipv mini. I really like the Yihi chips, and I have an ipv1 I'm happy with. The istick is cheap, but has some issues. The chip is very overpowered. The 510 has stripped on a lot of them. It has to be charged on a usb instead of just popping out the battery.

What do you mean "very overpowered"? (I unsubscribed from the iStick thread a few weeks ago, so I haven't heard about this)

I use mine everyday with it parked on 20 watts, so you can see my concern.

Well, 9.2W = 13.5W on an accurate device. Someone developed a formula and its right on the money for what my tests showed. Off by more than 4W is significant.

Oh yeah, I knew about that part. I misunderstood what you meant by the chip being overpowered. But the resistance directly effects how much the power is off, so they're not off by 4 watts across the board. besides, when did getting more power than advertised become a bad thing? Anyway, he said cheap, and 20watts doesn't get much cheaper or user friendly than an iStick.

***and there's nothing wrong with the 510 threads!!! ALL 510 threads can easily be stripped if you're not careful, and being that this device is especially appealing to beginners, over-tightening is to be expected.

I've made a little discovery regarding the silicone plug option. Not only is it brilliantly designed, it breaks up the airflow in the bottom chamber just enough to make the draw even quieter. Now all I need is a big a... bag of of those plug rings so don't have to worry about them wearing out getting damaged.

Well, replacing the 510 on some mods is pretty easy. On the istick, you don't have much room to work with. So yes, if the 510 goes bad on some of my mods I can have it replaced in under an hour.

And if you do want lower power, well, the istick may not be for you. I don't hate mine. It does what I need it to do, which is power a single coil rta. But, if I'm being honest, I think I would rather have spent $20 more for an ipv mini (which wasn't out at the time, but is now).

Remember what they say about opinions though :D. This is just my opinion :)

Yup been there, I have days I can't build a bad coil if I tried, other days I can't build a good to save my life, which is one of the reasons I have 5 Lemos, if I get ...... off during a bad coil day, I have 4 more to vape from.

Yeah, I started off and thought, "$#!+, this is a breeze". Then last night I was all thumbs. So...............I need more Lemos, I think.

Yeah, that low power thing could be a problem. It's seems they were thinking more about people that wanted more power, and not at all about the peeps that wanted low power. And yeah, If the 510 strips out on my iStick, it's going straight in the garbage!

I saw somewhere there's a flat generic 510 to 510 AFC that you could use between the mod and the atty to preserve the 510 threads. It's pretty thin when closed all the way off.

I got bored and wrapped a coil for the Lemo, even though I just put a new one in this morning. The one in there now was a quick and dirty job, though, not as pretty as this one:

I seem to be getting better at wrapping those. That one's with 26 gauge; getting 28 gauge to look that pretty isn't as easy.

BOOM!

So I just got this tank today, and I'm impressed. But I have a quick question, I have always done direct lung hits, but with the airflow all the way open, it's hurting the lungs a bit. Taste is fine, it's not a dry hit. Is this the result of having the airflow too open, or is my coil/wick too close to the airhole, or is my wattage too high (13.6 watts on 1.7 ohm coil) ? Can anyone shed some light on this?

Heat coefficient should be higher. Try running it at 25W. If that doesn't work try re-wicking.
