LOL, I'm talking about when I unscrew the tank! None of my fingers will reach through that glass to control where it decides to come loose

Ohhh...

Ive had that issue few times. Tighten the chimney nice and tight and keep upper tank cover slightly loose. Or put lip balm on the threads to keep them from freezing up. Also try pusing down and twisting at the same time. The threds are weird on the tank cover.

Just my shoot-from-the-hip opinion, but I received a Lemo Drop from my wife for Christmas, and I believe the flavor is a tad better on the Drop given the same build and liquid.

There's no night and day difference between them, they're both fantastic, but if I had to pick a favorite, it's the Drop. My first Lemo is currently not being used, in favor of it. Seems I don't mind having to fill it more often, and it actually works out better for me, because with the smaller capacity, I don't have to worry about wasting as much liquid if the wick needs a changing....which it does fairly often vaping NETs.

After inserting the wick in to the coil, i wet the wick with juice, then trim it and shape it with scissors to correct length and size before screwing on the chimney. That way ones the chimney is on, i just have to do is split the wick in the middle so it looks like a V and i can clearly see the juice holes. See pic on previous page.

Larger separated coils +3mm seem to be working way better for me then tightly packed coils. Closer to 1ohm or lower is better as well IMHO. Get 26 guage or 24guage and get it closer to 1ohm or under.

So far, no issues with 70vg and 80vg juice.

This is how i cut the wick after i wet it with juice.

Definitely more than one way to trim a cat so here is how i do it using Rayon. ;) Flatten it horizontally and then cut both sides off. I then put the base on and with the tails sticking up I cut them to just a little bit higher than the top of the base. Then i lightly stuff them in and do like your V description to keep the channels clear! :toast: The last thing I do is wet the wick with ejuice.

I find it easier to work with Rayon when its wet, and i cut the ends off right at the edge of the upper deck. So when the chimney goes on, the wick is pushed down in to its place and never touches the threads. Then i just make a V and im done.

I agree about being easier when its wet and I started out that way, building it like my fogger and orchids but after trying the ole' kayfun method it worked great and its easier and a nice relief from the bazillion pita builds I've done on those other tanks!

Ill try your method next time i re-wick the coil.
Just a fyi.. I put a small screwdriver in the juice channels before lightly stuffing the wick down. I try to do the V but mainly just try to get the same amount of wick on each side of the screwdriver. Just a little safety measure to help make sure nothing is getting down in the juice channel.

Makes sense.

Got an idea.
Get one of those big fat paper clips, then make a U out of it, so the both ends are exact length.. Then shove the legs down in to the juice holes, and you got your self a little jig that can sit there while you position the wick.

I use a needle-tipped squishy plastic bottle to suck it back out. I can get every last drop by tilting the tank as it empties, it's actually not as hard as it sounds. Hopefully, ver 2 will allow you to remove the deck while filled. For me, that's the only department the lemo is lacking in, but it's not a deal-breaker.

I fill it from the top and i empty it from the top. No need for needles or special bottle tips.

Okay I've had a chance to to really compare both the Drop and the full size Lemo not only side by side, but took it a step further
As you know my initial thoughts of the Drop was, that for me the flavor and vape was just not quite as good as the full size Lemo.
I'm not saying it's a bad vape, just not the same moist juicy vape than I've become accustom to with the full size Lemo.

First I built 2 identical builds one for the Drop and one for the full size Lemo, twisted 28/30 ni200 1.8mm ID 10 wrap .17 ohm spaced coil wicked with shiseido japanese cotton, setting on a DNA40 set to 30w 400 degrees using Nicoticket Wakonda (my favorite juice).

I started out by vaping each for several minutes to break in the coils and wicks then letting each set side by side off the DNA40 for about an hour to let them both stabilize at room temperature of 75 degrees, while vaping some Nicoticket Frenilla from yet another full size Lemo while I wait. :vapor:

After about an hour I put Drop on the DNA40 vaped a couple times and then let it set untouched on the DNA40 for 30 minutes to allow the DNA40 to normalize or refine, during the wait I vaped Strawnilla from yet another Lemo setting atop the IPV3.:D
After 30 minutes I picked up the DNA40 and pretty much chain vaped the h3ll out of the Drop for an hour.

Next I repeated the same exact process with the full size Lemo and here is what I found.
The full size Lemo still gives me a more moist, juicy flavor packed vape, on the Drop even thought it's still a great vape with plenty of flavor, it's what I can only describe as a dryer vape and certainly not the same vape I've come to expect, and enjoy from the Lemo, not trying to imply that this is bad just not the
same.

So this got me wondering can 3/4" or so of chimney height really make that much difference in flavor?
Time to swap out the upper chimneys between the two.
I removed the top caps on both, and with a syringe removed the juice from both, and carefully removed thee upper chimney from both being careful not to disturb the lower chimneys and wicks exchanged one for the other, along with the glass tanks, refilled each from the top, again as to not disturb the wicks.
Repeated the vape, wait, and stabilize process preformed earlier.

And just as I suspected the key is in fact in the chimney height, if you have been following along you'll note I converted the full size Lemo to a Drop, and the Drop to a full size Lemo, all without disturbing the wicks, coils, or air flow adjustments all to try and eliminate any doubt of potential build difference discrepancies, to fairly compare little brother Lemo to big brother Lemo, and I have without a doubt in my mind have put to rest the nagging questions of do you get the same vape from the Drop as you do from the full size Lemo and the answer is a resounding NO they are distinctly and noticeably different, where the full size Lemo will give a moist, juicy vape the Drop will give a dryer vape not bad mind you but defiantly not quite as flavorful.

Now to the question of does swamping out the chimneys make a difference?
That would be a resounding YES when I converted the drop to full size and full size to drop the flavor on both changed accordingly
What was the Drop, now with the taller chimney installed is now vaping with the more moist, juicy vape and the full size now converted to a Drop is now producing the dryer vape.
This of course comes to no surprise to me because the to Lemo's are 100% identical in every way with the exception of the chimney, and glass tank and are completely interchangeable so the only in the equation that would effect flavor concentration would in fact be the chimney height.

My theory on this is the taller chimney gives just enough extra room, to condense and concentrate the vapor than the shorter chimney.

In conclusion even though the two do vape differently I still highly recommend either of them over any other rebuildable tank to anyone looking for a completely power scalable tank system from mild to wild you can't go wrong with a Lemo period.
If you like a more moist, juicy vape I recommend getting the full size Lemo.
If you are into a dryer vape I recommend getting the Drop.
If you only own one or the other, I highly recommend you pick up it's brother and give it a try for yourself it's a Lemo after all and you won't be disappointed.

Well done. I second your last recommendation. Get both a Lemo and a Lemo Drop!!

How do you do that? I have a vague idea about how it's done, but don't you risk making a mess?

Hold the glass tank down with one hand and unscrew the top. Cont to hold the glass and fill the tank. Screw the top back on and you are done.

Just keep the glass leveled and it will stay sealed while filling it.

Not a theory at all. I have experienced same exact thing when using an extra long drip tip on Nautilus and Atlantis tanks. Then i would get same dryish vape when using short and wide drip tips.
