You have to build a Lemo large 2.0 or above and really STUFF it full of wicking. Much more than you would think

Yeah, I'm still playing around with the Lemo, and it seems to like the cotton. The same 30g/2mm/2ohm build I like in the KFL is still not satisfactory in my Lemo, so next I'm going to try using a little larger coil and stuffing the cotton in it, sort of like a big cartomizer, and see what happens.

Thanks to everyone for the comments,

Dave

I've had my lemo for a super long time. still think 26 gauge 3mm 8-9 wrap standard spaced coil is the best way to go in the lemo.

Lemo V1/Lemo Drop/ Lemo V2 here.:thumb:
30g Kanthal A-1 'UD' Double Twisted wire, 3mm ID,
7 wraps = 1.5 or 8 wraps = 1.7-1.8, Either Contact or Spaced, I've done both.
5mm-6mm wide strip of Mugi/KGD (not really stuffed), wicks cut to just barely lay on deck-then fluffed up some (Top/Bottom compressed layer(s) either left on or taken off).
I run it at 13-15W for tight MTL or Wide Open Air Flow for occasional LH at up to 23W to clear out residual moisture from the air channels (Higher Wattage needs more wicking).:vapor:
This suits my style pretty good. I can run this way for several weeks with just refilling once a day (twice a day for the Drop), no other maintenance needed, I do about 4-5 mL per day.
Battery lasts for 1 tank full on the Lemo V1, about 2 tank fulls on the Lemo V2 (that's roughly 7.6 mL, though I haven't measured it out precisely, BUT the V2 Does drink juice more than the V1 or the Drop does with the same build), 2 tank fulls on the Drop. ALL with the Same builds, according to my paperwork.
Battery's are Samy 25R-R2 or VTC-4's.
Device's are Sigelei mini 30W and Sigelei 50W box's.
Been like'in this setup for the past 7 months.
I use 6-12 mg Unflavored Mt. Baker or a mix of Unflavored/Menthol Flavoring (10mL Unflavored with 1 mL Menthol Flavoring, Shaken not stirred).
I usually have 2 tanks setup, 1 with each mixture so I can swap back and forth.
I just purchased 4 rolls of 'UD' Quad Twisted 32g Kanthal A-1 to see what that is all about.

I've NEVER had this much fun smoking leaves (not discussing the herbal type). This is Light Years Better, for me at least. Ya'll have fun with what ever you have and how ever you do it. It's All good. I hope that this helps Dave.

Just to be precise about my fill measurements on my Lemo V2, I can get from 3ml to 3.2ml into my tank when laying flat on the counter using an 18 gauge blunt needle syringe marked off in 0.2ml increments. Not the 3.8ml capacity that Eleaf states in their literature for the Lemo V2. Hope that helps someone. I don't think that Eleaf wanted to list that as it would not look as impressive in the spec. sheet, But, All tanks DO NEED some space for the air bubble, but only leaving 0.6ml for air is cutting it pretty thin, but it does work for me.

Call me OCD, but I NEVER leave a bubble in any of my tanks

If it don't work, I did something wrong...(or the tank is junk to begin with)

Just for the record. I just tried your way on my Lemo V2 and YOU'RE RIGHT;), I'm Wrong:(, as I now have the littlest of tiny air bubble I could get, AND NO LEAK out the air holes. Now on my Lemo V1 and Drop I have to stop filling when the bubble reaches the juice holes, being as it is a bottom fill design, or else the juice starts filling up the chimney base and coming out the drip tip, that I know from prior experience. So then, my blanket statement of "there always has to be a bubble" is incorrect. I should know by now that a Blanket Statement is only good for when a person wants to cover their head to the other possibilties that may exist. At my age I should know better :(. Thank You for opening my eyes to a better way on my V2 BNEAT :thumb:, I'm always learning here on ECF.

Forgive me, but 161 pages is just too much to sift through. Can anyone help me out with building the Lemo 2. I'm about to chuck it or pif it, much like it was to me. I can't get a build in it I like. Tried nickel kanthal everything from 1.8 builds down to .5 ohms. Different wicking methods each time I've been struggling but every random pull is a total dry hit. Then I pull it apart and the wick is bone dry other times is soaked. Hopefully someone can help me Out.

Thanks in advance.

Make sure no wick is in or touching the juice slots. After you prime it, use a small screwdriver to push it back. Then after you screw on the chimney barrel, look down and make sure you can see both slots. Then it should be fine. Its the wicking, not your coil :). Use whatever coil you like.

Something like this ? Phone camera won't focus as good as I want so had to take a pic of a pic on the Nikon lol. I've pancaked wicks like this before in the Gmini works like a charm hopefully this will be the last time I tinker with this tank or You might just see it get pif'd somewhere in this thread. The coil is a 14 wraps of 28ga 2.4mm ID works out to be 2.45ohms.

In case you haven't seen it:

Thanks for the vid. I just bunny eared the wick over the barrel trimmed to the top of the barrel and tucked them down pancaking them. Wish I thought about this about a month ago. You guys just brought new life to this tank. Thank you all for your help.

You've gotten in flatter than I ever have, but how is it doing? I've also done the S wick where I've put the tail on the left side at the top of the juice deck, and the tail on the right side at the bottom of the juice deck. That way they don't move when you screw the barrel on.

I've chain vaped half a tank so far. Not even a hint of a dry hit. Just hoping it doesn't flood when I go to bed and leave it. This is by far the highest build I've ever done. I've vaped on some 4ohm carts but the flavor and vapor production is pretty impressive for 8 watts. It almost feels like I'm cheating on my 110watt tfv4 build ! Maybe I should look into gettin something a bit more realistic mod wise. I feel like I'm walking with a cane with this giant svd with the Lemo 2.

Notice the evil glare coming from the smok?

What's everyone else's mod of choice for this diamond in the rough of a tank?

Mine is actually on my old Sigelei 100W. Its been there a year, lol! I like the battery life. With all these Aromamizers and other high power tanks, it may have to move though.

Has anyone tried cutting a notch in the wick tail over the juice slot? Its an idea I had a few weeks ago, but haven't tried. Its funny...the Lemo was my second RTA. I've had it more than a year. Never, ever had a problem until after more than 5 months with the wicking. Then during the next 2 months I think I dry hit like 4x! And I've done it a few times since.

I use an evic VTC mini with my Lemo drops. I pinch the coil leads under the screw head and have no problem with resistance drift. I use it exclusively in TC mode anymore.

I have had my Lemo Drop about 6 months and had some leakage first couple of builds but learned to wick it chunky (thanks Cig) and no more leaks. Never a dry hit. Knock on wood. I wick about the same as the video above except I bunny ear the wicks and cut even with the chamber, then tuck
