Do we really need this good sirs and ladies of ecf? I just put out what thoughts comes from my heart and mind.... Makes me second guess my posts... Don't like this like button....

I actually like it. I appreciate having a way to let someone know I liked their post without having to write something when I don't really have anything to add to the conversation.
This is true. Often there are posts to threads that just have "+1" or similar. But can we fix the "likes" notification page? Mine looked like I had highlighted the entire page. It showed up in negative colors.
Also: Alex- when I am sending a PM message, and start typing a name, then 'click' my choice, from the list that pops up, it send me to the first page of ECF instead.
But isn't the whole point of a forum Bjannr (sir or Ms.?) to post? Kind of defeats the purpose......
Like button issue aside, one way or the other, the Notifications on Liking should GO, please.
I have to agree. It's too easy to push like and not have any adult conversation..if I wanted grunts in the affirmative..I'd talk to my husband! Also NO notices!
The likes aren't a big deal to me, I've been on forums with the thanks feature... but I do agree that the notifications need to stop.

alex explained this morning that the 'like' feature came by default with this forum upgrade . he promised to check into it after getting some much needed sleep. apparently, he worked on the upgrade straight through the night, lol.
