The like button

I love the like button. I think I actually posted somewhere that it would be nice to have one (as many others have also stated)!! Glad to see that ECF has decided to include it!!!!

I actually like it. I appreciate having a way to let someone know I liked their post without having to write something when I don't really have anything to add to the conversation.

Now, see, instead of posting "I'm with lookin2quit on this.", with nothing else to add to the conversation, I could've just hit the "like" link instead. But, I haven't yet hit the button ... so, I guess I'll find out what that "likes notification" page mentioned several times in the thread is all about. Might change my view, or not.

EDIT: The only feedback I got was a tiny little window within the post that said who had liked the post. Not at all obnoxious.

I like not liking the like button. It's okay not to like the like button. Some people like it. We live in a free society and have the right to like or dislike or be neutral. What about those who dislike? Where is our button?

I think that its really not a big deal - but its just another way for the server to get bogged down when people decide to have a likefest

But seriously, if you don't like a post you have more reason to make a responding post than you are if you merely agree with what has been posted. You would say why you disagree, rather than just saying, "I agree".
