I love the like button. I think I actually posted somewhere that it would be nice to have one (as many others have also stated)!! Glad to see that ECF has decided to include it!!!!
But isn't the whole point of a forum Bjannr (sir or Ms.?) to post? Kind of defeats the purpose......
I'm with lookin2quit on this.I actually like it. I appreciate having a way to let someone know I liked their post without having to write something when I don't really have anything to add to the conversation.

Now, see, instead of posting "I'm with lookin2quit on this.", with nothing else to add to the conversation, I could've just hit the "like" link instead. But, I haven't yet hit the button ... so, I guess I'll find out what that "likes notification" page mentioned several times in the thread is all about. Might change my view, or not.
EDIT: The only feedback I got was a tiny little window within the post that said who had liked the post. Not at all obnoxious.
OK, I see the notification. Still nothing to irritate me. I still like the like. You've been "liked" join in on the notification fun...

What notifications?
I don't see any.
Or is that because nobody likes me?
Isn't not liking the same as "don't like"'ing it?I would also like to see a "don't like" option.![]()

But seriously, if you don't like a post you have more reason to make a responding post than you are if you merely agree with what has been posted. You would say why you disagree, rather than just saying, "I agree".
Wait, where'd the like button go?![]()
