Just figured bad assembly left a loose piece of wick and I sucked it into my throat..

That is an interesting point, there were many things about the original ecigs that were often ignored/dismissed, yet served a purpose.

Here is a cutaway of a Joye510 mouthpiece.

I doubt if any shards would be able to actually get into your mouth.

So true, but who knew 4 years ago, dripping became the fad for good hits, so we took off the mouthpiece and at first there weren't any drip tips so we just drilled out the mouth piece or vaped direct from the casing.

OK, Interesting stuff, and ya 3yrs ago things where a bit different, but 510 Attys are still built pretty much the same as far as the small piece of Silica they use at the coil. I have my doubts about Silica really breaking lose in a 510 Atty and moving to the throat and staying there, it would have to be excessively dry for this to happen ( buy could possibly happen especially using like BJ43 was 3-4yrs ago ) but today I just don't see it as big as a problem, and I wouldn't think to many people keep vaping with a dry Atty. I like using Silica and will continue to use it keeping it wet, and keeping it wet it really doesn't break down to much. I've tried the Cotton/cheesecloth and I just don't like the vape from it, it has a funny and dry taste to me, though it's not to bad I still prefer the Silica over it. Again we all have choices and choices are good, whatever works for people and whatever they like and feel safe with is what there going to use. If cotton and cheesecloth was so much better I would have to think the Chinese would be using it over Silica by now as well. I've experimented with pretty much everything on the market that could be used for wick, including porous ceramic which is also a not so bad choice but I still keep going back to Silica over everything else as well as SS Mesh, both work the best for = ME.

Your not getting a piece of my lung cyrus,,, not as of yet anyways :laugh::laugh:
