I just talked to my machine shop and the soonest I can get new ones is 20 days !!! I am trying to find a faster one trust me !

I could ask my neighbor. He's a machinist at a small local machine shop. There are quite a few shops around here actually. Want me to get some quotes?

Most likely you have a ripped O-ring ? or that carto is slightly smaller then what I designed for ? did it fit in there tightly or loosely ?

It didn't leak out of the tank. It leaked through the carto. The hole at the bottom of the battery connector was dripping juice. Sorry if I didn't make that clear enough, but at no point was there any leaking on the tank or the attachment to the carto. It is probably part of the air flow or pressure flow on the tank. If your juice is thick enough then you may not notice anything dripping because it is thick enough to stop it, but if your juice is very thin, having a hole in the tank might cause the juice to flow from the tank to the carto and straight down through the carto.

For the record, I have had this problem on other tanks with this juice, so I wanted to see if it would affect the outcome. This juice is quite thin. I suspect you could all test this out with a blank carto and some water if you didn't have any very thin juice.

Awwww thanks. I am gonna wait for Mikes tank.

No problem, I'm not using the boges anyway. If you have an 801 adapter I'll throw in a few punched fusions, but I'm a little more greety with those. Then when 5card teaches you how you will know if you like the fusions or boges better in the tank. Just PM your address when you are ordering a tank so they can show up at the same time!

I can teach you how Kellie. There's nothing to it. If you can open a can you can poke a hole in a carto.

How do you punch or slot yours?

SO I discussed a different top cap with Mike last night that would eliminate the screw for those who want a snag free tank. The only tool required for refilling would be a penny. Now he just needs to find a machinist to make a few for trying out. :)

Cool! It is a tough call - I really like the added security of the screw holding the tank firmly in place on the Carto, but I have gotten use to filling my homemade tanks by just sliding the needle of a syringe by the seal of the grommets I use for encaps. (I plan on buying some Luer lock bottle caps when I have a chance). It takes mere seconds to fill a tank that way. It feels like a hassle to fill by removing the screw, not to mention that it feels like I am stripping something every time I remove it and put it back in. Although, filling by the screw hole eliminates concerns of increasing the pressure inside the tank which can cause flooding the carto.

I am actually tempted to just drill a tiny hole in the top of the top cap so I can fill by syringe, I am not sure if leaking would be much of a problem due to the viscosity of the liquid, but I could probably make a tiny rubber stopper for it.

I slot mine but as long as you get a hole for the juice to come in and you don't distort the tubular configuration of the carto it don't matter. I remember Ruppy I think it was saying he put 1 hole, 2 holes, and slotted it all the way around and it didn't work any differently.

My thought is that you could put a flat head screw in the threaded hole to secure the Tank , and use Verms way to fill ??

this may be getting to complicated in the long run ? If I get to many variations it becomes a time consuming thing and that drives up costs so ???
A person could also put a hole in the carto and a rubber washer on a screw and thread it into the carto as long as it didn't go in to far.
But I think the way it is is fine.
