I'm wondering about the 808s, though. They seem to measure at 34 - 35mm end to end, same as a boge 510 except the boge 510 has its connector outside the carto body. About 4 mm of the 808 is the connector section, leaving 30 - 31 mm of main carto body. A 1-1/8 tank, 29mm, would mean there's only like 2mm of carto poking out the top? I guess the tank can slide down a bit, but once you start overlapping the actual connector you get to the drip cup on the mod. Do tips seat inside the carto, rather than outside? (I'm just trying to understand how the widgets would fit together.)

Ahh, well, time to go for a run :)

The tip goes into the carto , the internal o-ring is on the top about 2 mm below the surface , I can make it shorter by 1/8"

That explains it,i was thinking of them as going over the outside surface.
Follow up will, of course, be where one can buy a simple black tip :)
(I'm from the simple school, I don't even use the rubber mouth tips on cartos, just toss them in a baggie.)

You can't let the tank slide down over the vent holes or you block your air flow. Had that problem with my Liquidgrater. Had to put an o-ring on just above the base to hold that sucker up.

The side screw / fill hole screw is a LOCKING SCREW !!! it holds the tank on place for you !! WOW man that is a major improvement of the design I should apply for a brownie !!
J/K !!!

Same size Mike. I'm not sure why some break and others don't. Maybe there's a difference between manufacturers.

5CS said that the molded types are breaking but the extruded type is not so >>???? I need to see what I am getting .

It may be that they are using Acrylic the acrylic comes on colors the polycarb does NOT !!!

So with a .625 ID, the base tank volume in ml is 2 x interior-hgt-in-cm.
(1.98 is close enough to 2. If it was 20 mm high interior, the tank raw capacity would be about 4 ml, before subtracting off a bit for carto wall and center tube)
We now return you to the regularly scheduled tank thread... :)
