This is just my opinion, but if someone tells you there is one single PV better than all the rest... run! Different PV's offer different features for different people. The tough part about vaping is finding the one (or six!) that's right for you. There are some that are definitely very popular, though... the Darwin, as you mentioned...

The upcoming Eclipse should be pretty awesome...

The Phidias...

AltSmoke's lineup... the BB, SB, Omega and upcoming ALPHA!

If you had tried the Darwin, you would think differently. As far as what is on the market, today, the Darwin is technologically a significant upgrade to all the others. There is no other PV that senses the changes in the atomizer and then "automatically" adjusts to those changes as you vape it. You can't find that level of consistency.

not worth the price, IMO.

ditch the LCD screen and give me longer battery life.

Also can you change the battery in the darwin? If not that is the stupidest idea I have ever heard of....a 200+$ mod with a battery that is guaranteed to die.

here we go........... :p

no no, I am sure its great and I guess if you bought one mod a year and the battery lasts a year its worth it.
I am sure if Steve Jobs made an Ecig it wouldn't have a replaceable battery either.

Oh no I didn't mean anything either. I'm just excited to see if anyone comes to the defense. I think for most people the battery will last all day though from the reviews I read. If I learned anything from when I vaped is that there is a mod for everyone and they all have they're place when their goal is to get someone off cigs.

If SJ really did make a PV I'm sure it would play music, have you sync it to itunes and somehow it would be coined "magical" and "revolutionary"

the Darwin batt is guaranteed for a year, has usb connect too; electronics warranty 2 years... methinks thou dost protest way too much.

of the 3 state of the art PVs (Darwin, Provari, Eclipse) they each have distinguishing features that put them on top of the game.

You got to pay to play...

On the other hand, i.e. for $30+ you can have the best vape a 1.5 to 2.4 Ohm atty can give ...(eGo), but that's it.

These above mentioned 3 will give you more "best vape" possibilities.

I love my ipods... but they tick me off because i download the hell out of them every day and with a couple of them so far, if you overcharge them, for about an hour or more ( i use my usb port ), they go blank for a couple hours ! I mean if i need it that day, i have to watch it like a hawk or i'm SOL.
I have a practically brand new 5th gen Nano that somehow got a tiny drip of H2o in the ear-phone port and it's useless unless it's connected by a dock. (not covered by warranty, and costs close to $100 to fix)

I was more concerned with the batteries total life span under ecig usage....if your asking it to put out 7 watts on a 3ohm atty...then your taking 4.8 volts from the battery every time you use it....using a lithium-ion or li-po at that amount of volts greatly decreases its life span...so than in 12 months you would only be getting 78-80% of the charge that you got when you first bought the device...so if it lasted 30 hours when you bought it...12 months later your only getting 24 hours...and thats assuming its kept in a coolish environment. Thats assuming you want only 7 watts...a lot of these 6v users are using more than that. If your trying to get cisco type wattage out of it with a 3ohm atty your pulling more like 5.2 volts from the unit..then again I have no idea what kind of batteries are in that or how they are stacked.

Never mind: I guess these are using Lifepo4 batteries..I guess we will just have to wait and see how they are performing a year from now.

I don't know either... you sound more knowledgeable than I and the info is probably on the site data...
As far as i know it's more like a cell phone batt than what you're talking about.

I got the Darwin last week. The thing is amazing. Hits like a champ every time. SO simple to change settings. I use it all day and charge it at night. I have yet to get to the halfway point on the battery.

The long term battery life is not really an issue to me. I figure that at the very least I should get a year out of it, if not more. What r the chances that something new and better is not going to come out in the next year? Even if nothing does, I send it in, pay $25.00 and get another battery for a solid year. Even if I only use it for a year, I still think it's a bargain at $20.00 a month. However, from feeling this thing in my hand, and using it non stop for the last year, I would be shocked if it does not last longer than a year.

The battery has a one year warranty on it. Since it is a polymer battery, 2-3 years is the expected life span. But I do understand the concern.
