Please read this. The future of the electronic cigarette industry is under threat, and it's important that all members understand the issues.

Man, I get so nervous when I read that thread. I just started vaping, 3 days free of analogs, and now the FDA wants me to throw away my PV and go buy a carton of smokes. Either the FDA wants me dead, or RJ Reynolds wants me alive and smoking. I swear big tobacco owns the FDA. Maybe big tobacco should jump on the vaping wagon, and start manufacturing and marketing ecigs. They could still make a ton of money off this technology. But of course they'd end up adding 1000 other chemicals to the juice to keep us hooked. (and give us cancer, heart disease, and whatever else it takes to make money off our death)

Man, I really hope the FDA doesn't get their way. Things like this make me sad to be an american sometimes. We're suppose to be the land of freedom and opportunity. But instead we're slaves to big tobacco, and the FDA rapes us of the opportunity to be free.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

I'm totally willing to become an activist for access to vaping.. but I'm not sure what part of this I am supposed to be angry with:

"registration, product listing, ingredient listing, good manufacturing practice requirements, user fees for certain products, and the adulteration and misbranding provisions, as well as to the premarket review requirements for “new tobacco products” and “modified risk tobacco products.”

I don't care if companies I buy from have to register with my government. I support ingredient listing, good manufacturing practice requirements. I'm okay with "user fees" (taxes on products). I'm in support of regulations baring adulteration and misbranding.

I have no idea what the following clause means. Actually yeah, it sounds kind of scary. Maybe this is what I should be outraged about?

Wow. I'm going to be more active on this simply b/c I still feel sympathy for smokers and will never consider myself "above" them and at the same time, it's all too obvious to me that anytime a healthier alternative comes along, the industry (and Big Pharma) try their best to tax the frak out of it or make it harder to get. More vapers equals less health problems equals less money to the healthcare industry, which is a big RIP to begin w/... at least in THIS country.
I'll just stop there b/c this kind of political nonsense is just a small part of the whole problem and I'm sorry but if they REALLY want to pass s/thing, they will. (Just look at the elections of the past.)
