Let's put this into perspective folks. Who benefits if there are no online sales of e-cigs? The tobacco companies who are going to sell their own at the local level, at the local gas stations and convenient stores. That's where this is coming from!!! It's Big tobacco causing this. It's Big tobacco with it's BIG $.

They are losing close to a billion every year now that cigarette smokers have changed over to e-cigs. They have been slow on the draw (no pun intended) in getting any of their products to the market. And boy...are they scrambling now!!!!!!!

They have the FDA in their pockets with this because they are throwing $ at them.

It has everything to do with creed and payoffs. And our government is not "for" the people anymore.

Big tobacco is at the root of this I am sure. It won't be long.

Not necessarily. The search bots are pretty quick to pick up new items off the site as well. Between Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and a few others, those search bots could easily take up a good chunk of those 38 guests. ;)
Perhaps. Perhaps not. You know very well ANTZ stalk this site

...

I'm nervous about people going back to smoking though. It's sad really.

I hear you Eric.

It kinda Ticks Me Off that the Next Generation of e-Cigarette Users will Not Have the Type of Opportunities that we have had.

A Shame we don't have a Small Herd of Lawyer Vaper's. That and a Big Pile of Money.

I think this is Pretty Much Common Knowledge.

The 64,000 Dollar Question Now Is: How can we Maintain some Level of e-Cigarettes/e-Liquids that we have Today?

Good point about waiting for the FDA's official announcement
By the way ... regarding your comment about the French republicans
Don't expect any help from elected officials from EITHER SIDE OF THE ISLE.

Our elected officials only care about 1 thing ... Re-Elections

And lining their pockets with cash!!!

All up in your grill..
Does this Mean we can Deescalate down to DEFCON 4?

Not really. If anything vapers should double down on getting involved and working to make sure these devices are here to stay. Note that the FDA still plans to issue deeming regulations and is only claiming not to have said what those regulations will be. This looks to me like some e-cigarette company saw an opportunity to create a bunch of hype (and revenue) and hustled some "journalist". Frankly, I'm glad it happened. Would anyone from CASAA care to detail how many new members joined today?

Bottom line - you wont'. Sorry to be the Debbie Downer here. I had been smoking for 38 years and have seen the progression by our government.....society. Yes, it really boils down to "us"

But this is what I am doing - cutting down on the nic level...want to do that anyway because it seems to be a natural thing with eliquid. From 2.4mg 2 months ago to 12mg now and thinking about doing less.

This is not the same country I grew up with. And it is changing rapidly. I would love to say that you would be able to enjoy the things you have now, but I can't. Too many people just "fold" and accept what the new rules are allowing them. I submit that I may not see the uprising of people to get what they want vs. our govt which thinks it know what we need (or deserve).

It will take many many people to change the current system. And it's not just with e-cigs. it's much greater than that.

And now that we have this, all of a day later:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/legislation-news/459569-fda-says-todays-wall-st-journal-article-wrong.html

I think it's time for both the WSJ and SmokeyJoe to stand in a corner, vape quietly to themselves (at least SmokeyJoe anyway), and think about what they have done.

*un-sticky*

It would be prudent to go back and read the OP's first post carefully and note his title. Mr. SmokeyJoe is the founder of ECF.

I see nothing inaccurate in that post.

What "they" have done is inform us again that there is in fact "deeming regulation".

Thank You Mac. That was what I meant by DEFCON 4 and Not DEFCON 5.

It seems that it is Easy to forget that Every Day the FDA is Closer to an Announcement that is Almost Guaranteed to be Bad News for Current and Future Vapers.

Maybe we should be More Proactive Now instead of just Sitting back and Waiting for the FDA to tells us what we Can and Cannot do?
