Got my vote in for the Symbol

I came, I saw, I am thinking. I will vote after I've given this some more thought.

I have a question.
Will the written name in ads, on your website, etc be INFINITY
or will it be the lemniscate (symbol)?
When people talk about this unit here in the forum are they going to call it Infinity or use the symbol?

I lived in MN. Remember...we had Prince. He lived about 5 miles away from us.
I've dealt with the symbol as a name thing before. It drove the media & the neighbors nuts.

I'm with Paula (Hey, Paula, I'm almost in your old neighborhood! 8" of snow yesterday!) The name is not a minor thing. I know I will have to talk about this PV with people. I want them to be able to find it themselves, even if they lose the Notcigs business card, and forget how to find ECF.

If we could call it the Infinity (which sounds out of the question), I would totally vote for it, and I love the look of the symbol (I would go for Pi, too, and having it shipped set at 3.14...great idea.) So to solve the problem of keeping the symbol, but can't call it the Infinity...

call it "The Symbol" (or "The Sign"), and put the lemniscate on the PV. This solves all issues: Cool infinity symbol, concise name, and the name is still somewhat meaningful ("symbol" is a synonym of "icon"; this PV is a "sign" of the future.)

And, I am with the others who have already used the best name of all: mine.

(I would totally go with "Cignature" if I could get it personalized, or if it came with Buzzkill's engraved sig on it.)

PS: Hi NewLou, Don't miss the snow at all. My neighbor invited his symbolness to a Tupperware party one time. He actually sent back a note stating he would be out of town and could not attend. She still has the note. LOL

I think you bring up a valid point -- one that I did not consider before I voted but now wish that I had. It really needs a name, as well, to make it marketable to the masses. We, in the Buzz Army, all know what we're talking about, but someone newer to the mod scene probably needs something easy to reference it by when researching, like.... a NAME, lol.

FWIW, after reading this thread, Lazy8 is sticking in my head. And I'm not so sure that is a good thing...
