The Joye eGo-CC looks like it might be half of this. Near as I can tell, it's a clearo tank with a ceramic atomizer without any wick or polyfill. I don't quite get how the atomizer gets fed without wicking, though.
I had thought that something like this would be possible -- a "solid" atomizer cup that gets heated to atomize the liquid, but I wasn't sure how you'd feed it with enough juice to atomize without it flooding. Maybe via some kind of mist feeding via the suction created from drawing is all I can figure.
These seem pretty new, I haven't found a ton of info specifically about the atomizer heads. One other poster in another thread said that the atomizer can just be washed out and its good as new. I plan on picking one up next time I order anything.
That looks interesting. Anyone have any experience with that Joye eGo-CC?
The ultrasonic method does seem as though it would need a good amount of power, good call steamix.
I'm going to do some research on induction vaporizing, thanks mavric.
Edit: The concept of inductioon vaporizing
An induction coil (36) generates a magnetic field which induces current in an induction vessel (28). The induction vessel is heated by the current and supplies the heat to a passage (34) within the vessel. A liquid to be vaporized, such as water or hydrogen peroxide solution, is supplied to the passage where it is converted to vapor. The vapor is supplied to a defined area, such as a chamber (14) of a steam or vapor hydrogen peroxide sterilizer (10), where items are microbially decontaminated by the vapor.

I have a Joye eGo-CC. It takes the same atomizers as the eGo-C. They have silica wicks going through the spike down through to the coil. It was my first "real" set up and I think it's great for beginners.
It gets gunked up fast with sweet or dark juices but if you do a dry burn and clean up the wicks they're good as new. for lighter/less sweet juices they last forever. I had a green tea juice in for almost a month before I switched it out.
