Just curious how old REO#2 is as I have been contemplating a tear down and sonic clean here lately. I'm at 14 months of hard use on my only REO and don't have any issues but was thinking maybe it was about time for some in depth TLC.

#2 was put into service in early June of last year. I ordered it 4-5 days after obtaining #1 ( all things The Virus) It see's use on a daily basis including when I go to work. ( although the Dready door and tip stays home)

I have since amassed a few more and this is the first time that I have experienced the issue with any of them.

Squonking my 1st Reo!

Got these sitting by me this evening..
Aspire mini on istick 20 - Gravity
ST Mini on istick 50 - CLS
REO GRAND with RM2 1.11 Ohms 8 wraps 28ga on 1/16 drill bit - with WAKONDA of course! :vapor:

A fine looking trio you have there Alawot. How are you liking the Reo so far? I always liked the police box wrap. Do you happen to protect and serve?

Loving it! Took a minute to get use to the airflow, probably because I've been favoring the ST mini lately. I may eventually venture down the path of opening that hole up a bit, but I'm going to leave it for now.

I will most likely finish off what's left of my Wakonda tonight. I've been saving the last of my bottle for the Reo. Hopefully tomorrow that purple pouch will appear in my mailbox :)

Next decision... what juice do I load up next?

And what a mighty fine build it is! I just saw that post! Great job Alawot!

Thank you! I really wanted to get it right. I've been reading threads and watching videos for like 2 weeks (yeah, started a week before I even decided to purchase lol)

I had never built a coil before getting Reo #1 as a gift from some great vapers around here. I was so nervous, I watch a bunch of videos, read about it, bought all my supplies and started trying to get it right long before the Reo and rm2 arrived. It was not easy but as soon as I had the atty, it seemed a lot easier. I make a few coils at a time so I can recoil/rewick on the run and never miss a vape. Love my Reo.

Congrats Alawot! Did you name your Reo, or am I the only weirdo that feels the need to name inanimate objects?

My Reo is having an identity crisis. I named her Penelope initially, but my brother keeps calling her Twilight Sparkle. Yes, like from My Little Pony. His name actually fits better, since Penelope's a purple metallic grand that sparkles quite a lot in the light or sunlight.

LOL No, no name, right now it's just 'The Reo'

i started rebuilding coils on tanks first and that really thin wire 32g. HRH learned to swear really well by imitating me.

RM2's are the easiest single coil atties i ever used. I always used to use a candle wick about 5mm thick, take some 32g and fold it in half like this:

1Ω every time.

I use a micro coil with rayon for the most part. Unless I grab the KGD first then it is cotton. I think I do prefer the rayon. I need to try my ReadyXwick one of these days. I also want to go back to twisted coils. My first one lasted about 3 months!

Pretty much the same for me here, although I wrap my coils at 1.5-2.0 mm so I'm not sure that's "micro" but whatevs :) I don't really notice a flavor improvement with KGD over rayon but I just picked up an 80 pack to play around with and am on my first wick (using the same method super_x_drifter shows i.e., not too much wick). It will take a few weeks and builds before I can tell for sure if I prefer one over the other.

I am not well versed on the terminology but I think micro refers more to the way the coil is squeezed together rather than the ohms. All the coils are touching in my build. This has been an informative thread for me although the intial purpose was to say:

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE NEW REO JEFF!!!
