@Oregon Linda - I have two KF Minis, a 3.1ES, and a Lite (all clones from FT) I can get a couple good tanks off the 3.1, but I'll be DING-DANGed if I can get the others to play consistently - especially the Minis. I REALLY want to play with them, but I'm thinking my bane is my high-VG juice. I DIY, and it's "max" VG (only PG is from flavorings), so I just don't think they wick well. I've even tried them on my Cloupor Mini+ in TC mode, and that isn't helping. Love my PT2s and my Nautis. Have a handful of STM and STN tanks too. I'm finding love with my Velocities, so really, I have plenty of vape goodies. I guess I'll just keep plugging along, and as I get motivated, I'll try another build....

Next time I mix, I should flip my PG/VG ratio - my nic is VG, so I should break out straight PG to mix with my flavors.... I dunno....

On mine, contrary to the KFL lite V2 I have found that BIG open (2.5mm on mini and 3mm on V2) coils and lots of cotton solve the problem.....I gave up the mini's and went straight to V2's but had 2 of them going on 90/10 juice. leave the chimney unscrewed about 2 turns if you can.....and I used to prime them when I picked them up. On some of the clones the channels weren't quite deep enough and 10 minutes with a dremel tool will fix that.(be carefull)

I've tried 2.5 coils. Might try leaving the chimney unscrewed a tiny bit....

Two  one is bad enough...
On a more serious note, try some 50/50 through the mini and I think you find much better performance.

And to your point, higher-PG juice ;)

I get the occasional dry hit on the KF Undead after filling the tank sometimes. I always check for bubbles rising every or every other vape after a fill. If no bubbles are rising after a few vapes, I do a quick primer pull or two so they will start. You might have to do this a couple of times until the tank vacuum equalizes.

You don't need to plug the second air hole on the Magma, just spring the airflow ring around to the single coil option.
It is a dripper and not meant to lay on it's side, so there should be no leaking out the other air hole. :)[/QU
Ignorance is bliss (I didn't even know a single-coil on a Magma was an issue), but to be honest, I've never built anything but on mine. Closing off the opposite-side hole is simple, you just rotate the ring until only the hole on the coil side is open.

In the video, the guy takes the ring off completely. Don't know about that.

Thanks! See I didn't know if there was a single coil option on it. Airflow ring handles it!

Yes, if I fill mine too full there is an issue with juice getting to the wick until there's room for a vacuum to develop. So might have to prime it it some. I just have to remember to stop filling a little before the top of the glass section.

Hmmm. I'll have to look over my Magma. I do have a single coil build on one of my Aqua v2s. I just used a screw to plug the 2nd air hole. I'm not sure if the air holes in the Magma are threaded though.

I stuck a bamboo skewer in the second air hole on my Orchid and snipped it with side cutters leaving just enough to pull it out when needed.

:)

gmoney, it was that little ring that was the problem. I actually thought it was press fit to the tube, then I got to fussing with it and it came off. Now it vapes fine. This is the kind of thing that really makes you feel stupid! :D

eta: Now I just have to get used to firing this thing with my pinky.

Glad you figured it out OLinda, cause what I should have said is that ring needs to be removed except in circumstances where it must be used. Can't remember which circumstances are which as my nemmys have been relegated to vapocalypse-fodder

Okay, I just did a single coil build on my new Magma. (I tried to do dual coil, but after ruining 4 coils because the screws kept snipping the legs off, I just went to one). I made sure the opposite side hole was closed off, and I'm enjoying a very nice vape. I'm kinda glad I didn't get the second coil in there, because it's just perfect like this. So far no leaks. I just need to remember to DRIP every once in awhile. I've never used a dripper before. :D

gmoney, here's some great information Roxy passed along to me on what to use for what set up with a Nemesis. I copied it to my notes so I'll always have it. I hope she won't mind that I'm quoting it here.

Big tube with emblem = 18350
Big tube + 2nd smallest = 18490/500 or 18350 + kick
Big tube +2nd biggest = 18650 or 18490 + kick
Big tube + 2nd biggest plus ring = 18650 + kick.

That's the sword that cuts both ways with the Magma: the reservoir is so large it's easy to neglect the need to refill it.

thanks both of ya! Printed and placed in the V-Box. See how confusing that is if you use 18350s and/or 500s?

I think that's the correct configurations based on my similar mods (Skeleton Key). I have a mini Nemi, but not an 18xxx one. I think I'm going to grab one though for my Vapocolypse hoarding box :). Now I rarely use anything smaller than an 18650 though, and I don't use kicks, though I've had one.

I prefer the Magma single coil. It just seems the best way to build it.
