It would be interesting to see what would happen if you took up quilting, with your tendency to collect...personally, have have a couple thousand yards of fabric, but I still save scraps and re-purpose used clothing.

You ought to see my music, antique stoneware and model horse collections

The wife is always collecting material for the "Stash".

And we don't even have the excuse that someone's going to ban cotton or sergers soon. As the saying goes, "she who dies with the most fabric wins." I inherited the first thousand yards from my mom, along with 30 years of unfinished projects, and even a box of mending.

Last year I donated some time to a thrift shop run by the Humane Society. We had many thousands of yards of fabric donated by a man whose mother had just died. Even at ridiculously low prices, it took months to clear all that fabric out of the store. There was so much, it was impossible to even display it all.

I'm wondering if it makes sense to buy a bunch of 510s for my vapocalypse box. Just in case any wear out on a mod I have. Or if I was so desperate I needed to build my own mod. The other parts would be available -but 510s? I don't think they're used for anything else.

(I've been vaping on this new Magma all day. Yum!)

I was a hand quilter for 30 years. My Mom did the piecing I did the quilting for our family quilts. I had to give it up because my hands got too messed up from rhuematoid arthritis. At this point i'm hoping to finish applique on a quilt I designed for my daughter, but it will have to be machine quilted. I.m lost without my quilting. :(

Quilting is another expensive hobby. The wife would love to have a long arm and I thought the baby lock sewing machines were pricey... Then I saw the price of the Handi Quilter and Pro Stitcher computerized add on...
I wanted a longarm to supplement income & hobby when I retired. An APQS Millennium was my dream machine! But retirement happened 10 years early & no place for a machine.

I use regulated box mods, I'm only getting USA made so I can get repairs. I doubt if they'll ban them completely, although imports could be. I have 3 Hana Modz, & am thinking about Hex Ohms that are made here in Texas. They are regulated by a potentiometer, whatever that is. It regulates by volts?
They have a lifetime warrenty.

I'm sorry to hear about the arthritis, and I hope you're able to finish your quilt. There's no shame in machine quilting. Does your machine have a hand-quilt stitch?

Yes. As in, have some on hand. Switches and battery contacts will always be available.

And if a board goes, you may as well scavenge the rest of the parts, or turn it into an unregulated mod.

And I always feel a little sad re-wicking it, 'cause the old wick comes out with a full ml of juice in it. (maybe I should wring it out into the juice well).
Back in the days of dripping using mods with spill cups and leaky 510 atomizers designed for foam carts, I never got so desperate to wring out all that leaked into the spill cups, but I could have floated a battleship.

Spill cups? Did I really miss something fun by not starting to vape until 2014?

A potentiometer is a voltage divider.. Umm, never mind. Do you have a dimmer switch in your house? Same thing.

Sorta. Most dimmers are now solid state. But as far as function, yeah, pretty much the same.

...and Lipton Pyramid teabag shipments seized by the FDA at port of entry, citing their illicit use as e-cigarette paraphernalia.

You'd have to be a grandfather-date vaper to understand the reference

If anyone is thinking of adding a great mech to their stash for the possible vape-apocalypse , there is an amazing GP PAPs and Heron with loads of extras.
Its so tempting but I already have all those parts and more..... Im sick and this deal is making me sick....
