That is beautifulI'm done for the month already because I splurged yesterday on this:
Renegade X Mod - Orange Cats
I've wanted since they started them, but at $240 that was huge for me. It was going to be my Christmas present. Perry extended the sale so I could get it for the sale price. However, that's my entire monthly budget for vape stuff so I'm done for December. Its worth it.
Should work fine, Linda. Both my 3.1s are full right now, so can't actually do a check, but everything else is interchangeable.
The 3.1 just has the extra "chamber" bottom and side fill. Don't like the side fill either, for similar reasons, so I just top fill those. Important to close off the air intake when you do that, until the top is partially threaded on and you turn it back right side up. If you didn't do that with your top fill cap, that might be what caused the leak to start.
Another question for all you Kayfun experts: can I use a KF lite base on a KF 3.1?
I was playing around with one of my 3.1s this evening because it really gripes me that I can't seem to get the wicking to work well for more than 1 tank. I decided to try KGD cotton since I've been using rayon. After wicking, I filled it up using the new top-filling tops that TrollDragon told me about (those are really great!) I did the normal close off the airflow, turn it upside down after filling for 10 seconds, open the airflow, and then turn it back right side up.
It started leaking really bad. At first I thought it was coming from the airflow holes, but realized it was coming from that side fill valve. It evidently wasn't completely closed. So I stuck a needle tip inside there and tried to get the check valve to close but it wouldn't. So rather than lose my whole tank, I ended up putting some electrical tape over the hole so I could vape the tank. It really looks funky, but I can't think of anything else to use to plug up that hole. So it occurred to me to get a KF lite base with the fill screw on the bottom. I could still top fill it and never even undo that screw at all. But I have no idea if it will work on a 3.1. What say you, Kayfun experts?
On the bright side, the new wick is wicking well and I got a nice vape. We'll see what happens in tank #2.![]()
There is probably machining swarf in the hole for your check valve or it is just a poorly made one. Too bad they don't unscrew for cleaning. But I don't think it should have leaked through that side refilling valve. I think that's a check valve, so it shouldn't open at all from the inside. It never really worked that well to start with, which is why I went to top refilling.

Yeah, I kinda suspected that, but there really isn't a way to get inside there to clean it out. If I could find something that size to just plug it up, that would probably work, since I'm not using it anyway.
Another important thing about Fasttech bases Linda, check the threading on them carefully before you screw on any PMMA tanks as some do require a little cleanup with some emery paper. Screw on a SS tank first to see how it threads as opposed to cutting the threads on your PMMA all to pieces.
I do believe they are just press fit in there but I never tried pulling it out.

I cant get over how well that Gem RTA is working now, I put a 1.1 ohm 28g coil in it and it is working perfectly at 13.5W. It's a sweet little TP tank for sure.
Empty yhe juice. Fill a needle tip bottle with alcohol & squirt it onto the port until the little ball inside loosens up. That info is from the authentic's website video. Juice dries & gets sticky in the port & it will stick. Just needs cleaning.Another question for all you Kayfun experts: can I use a KF lite base on a KF 3.1?

Plug up the hole from the tank side with food grade silicone, jam a screwdriver in the check ball to let the air out and squeeze it into the hole. Let dry and trim off flush on the tank side.Maybe I should just get a wad of chewing gum and stuff it in there. The things we have to do to make some of our attys work.
