I hope this is readable for wicking the Bellus. I've been having perfect luck with this wicking even at 50W so honestly, I will likely use it as well for 70vg juices.

OK now this drawing definitely comes from ze laboratory of ze mad scietist LOL

That does help, thank you. To start, do you use the same amount of wicking material that you usually use, say, for a Lemo? Does all the wick that's coming down have to fit into the channel?

Yeah, it starts out with a bushy tail like the Lemo would use then I start barbering :). I do the tapered cuts to keep it bushy at the top (where it fits to that "shelf" in the slot, and thinned as it goes to the bottom 2/3s of the channel.

vaping too much with a heavy rig?

Arthritis due to Lyme disease. The bones in my right wrist have moved twice now due to the underlying soft tissue damage. One of those bones is grabbing a ligament and when it let's go, OMG, the pain makes me see stars  And its very creepy, too! It goes boing like a bungee cord.

Sorry to hear this. How terribly miserable that sounds! Hope you feel better soon.

Hey, we've surpassed 100 pages in this thread :rickroll:

When I started it I wasn't sure anyone would read it :D

I think you hit a nerve, Roxy. A lot of people, tootle puffers included, are very worried about what is coming. So the ability to work with rebuildables makes more and more sense. I also think that a lot of tootle puffers consider RTAs to be mod whomper or cloud chaser gear. They don't realize what a great vape they can get from some of these attys.

So I think this thread has opened a lot of people's eyes. And it gives them a place to ask questions when they might not venture into the rebuildable part of the forum. That was my case when this thread started, though I'm feeling more and more comfortable posting in those forums. This has really been invaluable to me in many ways, and I thank you for starting it and always being available to help with a build or give an opinion on a piece of gear.

I was constantly reading that there was nothing new for Tootle Puffers and I didn't understand why peeps felt that way. Almost every high end RTA is geared for Tootle Puffers. I had a giant vape stand full of them. Now I understand peeps not wanting to cough up the money for them, and not wanting to buy clones, but there are some inexpensive Chinese ones that I mentioned in my first post. The new eXpromizer has come way down on price also ($50ish). I've also bought many of my high end ones lovingly used or I wouldn't have had them all either.

The funny part is there have only recently been RTAs for cloud chasers coming to market over the past few months. Only now are many RDA users starting to buy tanks.

And yes, I guess many are afraid to start building. I was nervous, too, when I started. What if I have a short? What if my face blows off? Its good to be safe and cautious, but its not hard at all to make a coil. It doesn't have to be pretty to work just fine. If it required pretty coils I would have given up a long time ago :). You just have to check your build, and its a good idea to do a second check with the chimney barrel or top cap on.

I think you're right about people being afraid to start building, Roxy. I had my first 2 Erls for months before I ever even attempted building them. I only bought them because they were just $5 at Angel Cigs and a couple people in the tootle puffer thread said they were good tootle puffers. I read that entire ginormous Erlkonigin thread and watched a bunch of vids and finally tried it. I think it took me over an hour the first time. I guess I had beginner's luck, because I nailed the build and ended up with a great vape. In fact, it was better than anything I'd ever vaped up to that point. So I was entirely hooked.

I'm not really sure what my fear was all about. I had been rebuilding t3s and GS Air coils for a long time, and they're so tiny that they're actually a lot harder to build than an RTA. There are plenty of other tootle puffers who also rebuild their stock coils but are afraid to venture into rebuildables, so I'm not sure what it is. I do think it's partly because they don't think these tanks can tootle. For most of this year, we've seen one subtank after another come out. And since a lot of them have build decks, I think they often get confused in people's minds with RTAs. That's why this thread really opened my mind about the wide variety of tanks available that I might like. Now I've got quite a variety of tanks and have really enjoyed the journey. (Well, except for those damn Kayfuns! :D )

I agree with Linda. I started vaping on Evods and PT2s and quickly learned to rebuild Kanger's heads. What a difference! I think it was MacTechVpr, on his PT2 rebuild thread that said, "if you can rebuild a Kanger' head you can build just about anything." When decent KFL+ clones hit $30, I snagged one quickly and haven't looked back. Except for...

For over a year, I have been looking for a great 19mm RTA for my VTR. I have a DT804 but it's... underwhelming. Anyone have any experience with the Mini Buddha?

Alden, one of your posts a LONG time ago in either the Itty Bitty Mods thread or the Tootle Puffer thread pointed me to this picture of how to wick an Erl properly:

The Erlkönigin : PICTORIAL

I wrote that down in my notes a long time before I ever tried it. But once I did, that's the picture I referred to. :D

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned this one yet but for fans of the spheroid a similar one from Phoenix mods it should fit nicely in my new Athena envy17 this was really expensive when released but price drop is huge.

Wow, that's only about $20 US. Pretty cheap for an original. :D

I'm having difficulty finding much in English about this. It appears to be 16mm. I'll do some more research. Thanks!

We have some on the way. It was cheaper to get two than to buy spares :p So when they get here @gt_1955 or I can do a bit of a review for you.

They have been out for a while and were released during the clone wars. The chatter seemed to be all about the shock horror at the design rather than the mechanics, but the build quality from Phoenix is well known and I would imagine these to be the same.
