must be why I have no problem I don't go for high VG, I tend to find high VG juices lacking in flavor, so avoid them, my own diy juices tend to be only 10 or 20% VG and the max I get in commercial juices is 50/50. mine have all been perfect so far and after filling each at least a half a dozen times no reduction in taste or vapor as of yet. and what totally amazes me is no leaking whatsoever nor any condensation buildup in the stem or mouthpiece which was a huge problem with the vortexes.

OK...I ordered one box, 2.4 oHm - I'm only using one of the five so far (metered @ 2.7) on a Riva - I finished the first fill with mixed results - throat burning every third hit but it got a little better when the phoenix was a little less than half full (juice is 30% VG) - finished it, took it apart, cleaned and trimmed wicks per lorddavon's vid, put it back together, filled and started vaping - every hit burns my throat and this is just unusable - I take dry hits to try and get more juice to the coil and nothing seems to work - my only speculation is that the wire used for the coil just burns too hot but I will try the others and report back with the results - if this first one is indicative, then it's back to the reliable Boge and DC tanks and Vision top coils - this 1st one makes me wonder if this is why Bad was coughing in his vid.

Out of the five in my box, none of them gave me any trouble with reasonable usage. Meaning, when I loaded one with pure sugary VG, it wasn't entirely happy - a few dry hits, and a bit of burnt taste. Basically, I can't chain vape it, but it does work with care. With my other juices, variable PG/VG mixes, all cartos worked fine. The taste is not *quite* right for me, though it is definitely there, no problem with that... I don't know, there is something about bottom coils that just gives them a taste "accent" that's different from top coils - though it's minimal with this one.

I really like this carto with clean, dry, sharp tea flavors. Very, very nice. I think I'll keep buying it once in a while, as a compliment to the Stardust, specifically for my tea juices.

IMHO, this is an example of a rollout that worked as advertised.

Rolondo, I'm sorry it's giving you a hard time... Is this just one carto? I have to say that in my case, as long as I used thinner juices, I didn't mod it at all. BUT - it did take a while to break in and start tasting right and wicking right. I hate to say this, but maybe if you didnt clean it?..

Did you try the others from the same box?

....OK, I'm vaping my second Phoenix chosen randomly from the remaining 4 - this one is performing the way I expected these would - kind of a cooler vape, taste is there, lots of vapor and no dry or burning hits - the first one was some sort of mechanical failure, ie: the way the coil was installed at the factory - quality control that I'm sure is pretty hard to monitor - too much coffee on lunch break....oh that's right, there are no breaks in China....lol - they should farm these out to FoxCon - just think if these were all as good as the i-pad.

Cyrus can I get a better description of how u trimmed the wicks?

K3vin I'm sorry I missed this, did you figure it out?

Basically do what Lord Davon does in his video. If that doesn't work, *pull* out a few strands, one at a time so you don't remove too much. If that doesn't work, pull out a few more until it does. My 'perfect' ones look really anemic and thin on the wick front but they work like dynamite. Anything else PM me so I don't miss it

So you want to spend triple the cost for an outdated piece of hardware? I think we need an american company producing carts on american soil. Working on it...

your words right to my ears deadguy and while its done its difficult and very expensive to do in the long run in bulk form.

this will change it think though becuase of the bluecig buy out , i can see them making the cartos in the usa from now but since its actually cheaper to send the stuff to china , have it made, tested, packaged and shipped back to the usa, then they might simply go that route like almost all companies do these days.

this is the issue thats going on. it is literary cheaper by a HUGE margin, to send all the parts to china(products paid for and shipping) pay china to make your, build it in bulk for mass market, pay workers there, buy additional things needed for your products there, have it packed and packaged there and then shipped back here and distributed. Then it would be to do that all here and give americans work.

These are fantastic in my opinion. I fill 4,(out of the box) take them to work for the day, chain vape all day with 18mg tribeca .
I really have no complaints, good flavor,TH and massive vapor. I ordered 4 more boxes. I have cleaned them at least 5 times, not sure if they even needed cleaning, just habit I guess.
Thanks

Not sure I understood your post but Foxcon (sp) is in China and assembles all of the Apple products and prob all of the S. Korean stuff as well as all electronic devices most likely....was only kidding really....vaping gear will continue out of China even if the parts are sent from here....nobody'll work for those wages in this country.

I was bashing apple and their overpriced products that are outdated. Basically saying that if we got foxconn to make egos they would be $300 each battery and still be on version 1. Also they would be white...

Yes, I understand. In all honesty though, I would pay double for a box of cartos that works every single time I open a fresh one without fiddling with it.

Thanks I think I will have to check out the 3ml tanks.

Are these good to go out of the box? I'm like a week old vaper and I'm not sure I have the skills to mess with these.

Also I see that the XL's come with a syringe, and you get 5 of them. Yet the 3ml tank is only 1 unit and no syringe, is that right??? I get that the tank would equal x5 XL's I guess, but wouldn't it make sense to include syringe with the tank?

The tank is 3ml, the xl's hold 1.5 ml. You need a syringe to fill both of them. Not sure why the tank doesn't come with a syringe. Probably just to keep the cost of the unit down. If you are going to start using clearos/fillerless cartos, you're going to need a syring. These phoenix's NEED a syringe to be filled.

yes- unless your bottle applicator is filled to the top or close to it...you have to push the liquid in one push UP, no air -danno

So I received my first box of the Phoenix Xl on wed.---The first one was working great until about half the tank was used, then it just dumped the rest. I put that to the side and opened another, worked perfect! Great flavor, massive vapor.
I then decided just to unassemble the first one, clean it, and trim the wicks a bit. It worked perfect!!
Even though the first one needed some tinkering I'm very impressed and will be getting more of these. I also bought 2 Stone 3 5ml tanks at the same time, both leaked everywhere...I will be cleaning and messing with them today or tommorow(i don't give up easy) all in all I'm happy with what I received. Keep up the great work GotVapes!!
