good info sahlim.

I tested the new phoenix's . they are dry, and work wonderfully, inner plugs arrive in a day or 2, and the new 3ml GV Exclusive Sleevless works rather well.

Hopefully we hould be ready to rock in a couple of days, ad as i mentioned, mid week the 808 phoenixs arrive , both styles.

Zipper, yes a rebuildable phoenix is being made exclusively for gotvapes along with another new phoenix product we will have timed exclsuive to. I hope to have them ready to show in a few weeks.

I am swamped doing orders, while im not posting as much your all up on the big screen and oim watching everything always am.
We should have this major change rockin and rolling with the new shipping process ready in the next week and followed by many new products like the innokin itaste, vivi nova, ego vision stardust rebuildable & much more alhpa products and tons of surprises, so bare with me for the next 3 or so days and then ill be here once again though out the day like usual

So glad I found this. I have been vaping only a week and have been so unhappy with the boge cartos I ordered. I really want to try the phoenix's so am very glad to hear that they should be back in stock in a couple days. I was thinking of trying the fluxos, but really didn't want to.

One question, I am using a Kgo 1100 mah. Should I get the 2.4-2.6 or the higher ones on the phoenix. I don't really understand what the difference is. Sorry to sound like a dunce, but I kind of am when it comes to this stuff. Learning though.

@ Debadoo, it's perfectly OK to ask questions if you dont know or need help, people here will always offer you help so ask away. On a KGO your probably better off with the lower ohm Phoenix, the lower ohm a carto or Atty the warmer the vape usually, and usually what people do is match your voltage to ohms to get the best vape. Since your KGO probably maxes out at 4.2 then the lower ohm Phoenix would be best for you most likely.

Thanks mwa. Oh man have I been asking questions. I know a lot more than I did a week ago. lol I've also seen stuff about the top coil vs the bottom coil. I get that the top coil has a warmer vape than the bottom, but are there any other differences? I watched steel jan's video on the phoenix, and she was talking about the bottom coil using all the juice more evenly, and she felt like the top coil was just another something clearomizer, which she seemed not to like. I know we all have different likes and dislikes, my problem is, I don't know what I like or dislike yet, except that cartos will filler stuff did not work for me. After a couple days, it all started tasting nasty. Wasn't burnt, but it was awful, and really dry.

So basically I'm asking......is there any other info you can give about the difference between top and bottom coil phoenix, that might could help me decide which one would be better for me? And thanks so much!!

I don't know if anyone has had a chance to try the top coil Phoenix yet, there might be some knock offs out there but GV hasn't released them yet. It'll be really soon, though.

I prefer the bottom coil Phoenix to any top coil carto I've used. You can literally vape it dry and the whole vaping experience is awesome right to the last drop. I'm figuring it's because the juice is sitting on the coil, basically. With a top coil, when the juice gets to less than half, you have to start tilting it and twirling it to re-wet the wicks so you can use up the juice. Otherwise you get dry hits before it's empty.

I suppose it's a cooler vape than a top coil, but not so much so that I can't use it. In fact, I prefer it. I mean, it's still warm, but it's not as hot as a top coil. Not a deal breaker by any means.

I remember when I started vaping last year and it was all about the blue foam and pyramid tea bags. Let me tell you, you started vaping at the right time. Your experience will be 100x what mine was! Phoenixes are a great place to start, too. I would recommend these for a newbie or a veteran, they're so simple to maintain and what fiddling you might need to do isn't rocket science.

Thanks BonnyC! Well, that answers the question of why I haven't seen vids for these top coil things and the ? of which one will I get. Since I don't really know the difference between a warmer vape or a cooler vape (how it feels), It'll likely not be a real issue. In the reading I've done, I sure have a lot of respect for those who started vaping a couple years or so ago, laid the ground work, and helped manufacturers develop better products. Seems like it still changes every day, but the vids on the phoenix seems like the absolute best of anything I've seen out there so far. If you fill them right, which looks simple enough.

@ Debadoo ,

Hang around here you'll be trying lots of good products and be able to find something you love I'm sure, plus its kind of fun trying different gear out as each i a little different :)

Yeah that would be fun, but I so don't have the $ to do that. Trying to reap the benefit of the experiences of others who can try out all the goodies. Hoping a check comes today so I can get more juice before I run out. Call me Deb if ya want. : )

Ha, Ha, yea I saw that too, and know I can not clean it up LOL. I think I am better off leaving it alone for now since it took me over an hour and a half just to put it up there errors and all. :)

Congrats! Now if you can just clean it up so there isn't a "]" before it and "" after it..... :p

Or you can erase the ] and and it won't mess it up, you just won't be able to click on the banner.

On another note, I can't decide what to put in mine. How much is one carto worth in cigs? Is that for the life of the carto or one fill up? Because I can see these phoenixes lasting for a long time. 100s of cigs.

Oh , btw , i tried something last night and wanted to share it with you all .
i have read and seen videos that clearly say that we should wait till the phoenix xl are dry before re-filling and also that they would leak like crazy if we tried to fill em when only half way through .

well i have tried something and would request you guys to try it too and see if it works for you all ( its worked for me UPTO NOW  ) .
when your phoenix xl are about half way through , turn them upside down for about 3-4 minutes and leave them alone ( battery end facing up in the air ) then in the same manner , take the filling needle and make sure that the tip of the needle is in the remaining liquid while trying to fill it again , fill slowly till u reach the top , pull out needle and then wait for a few seconds before you turn the angle of the carto , after a few seconds it is ready to use again .

please do let me know if this works .

wishing you well
warm regards
Sahil

heh that should work well. i just give mine a little flick twards the drip tip and that flings the leftover juice away from the wicks. and i find it a pita to fill my syringe from the bottles with the glass dropper in the cap so i often just 'top off' my xl with whatever is left in there often only filling to 3/4 or so and never a leak or anything but of course YMMV and the next one i open might not be so bullet proof lol

That's one annoyance of mine. The syringe that came with them is too fat to insert into my dropper bottles and the needle isn't long enough to reach the bottom. I used to have one that fit fine and it was narrow enough to go into these things. I don't remember where it came from, though.

If I went to CVS to get a needle, what would I ask for? Do I have to go to the counter to request it? I just want to be able to fit it in so I can get those last drops of juice that refuse to come off the sides of the dropper bottle and into the neck of it. Drives me batty to leave that. I used to have a narrow tubed syringe but I gave it to my mom when I gave her a phoenix.

Dear Samsun and zipper , thank you so much for your replies .
I am using 50/50 vg,pg juices and yes am trying to give them time to see if the flavors are really what they should be . to be honest i have re-filled one of my phoenix cartoz with the same juice for the 3rd time and now i feel the flavor kinda coming through .

Zipper i have about 55 boge lr's and 40 ikenvape 801's, what am i going to do with them now :p

Samsun , after reading what you had written , for a moment it seemed as though i was reading something i had written myself , god i too after 1.5 years of vaping and trying over 400 diff juices realized that i like menthol too , i was anti menthol when i started and only wanted tobacco flavors , now to realize that a light tobacco with some menthol and also some fruity flavors with menthol is what i am liking the most .
i recently got myself some menthol drops from alien vision and will be adding it to some of my juices .

hoping to try the 3mil tanks soon .

wishing you well
warm regards
Sahil.

I feel your pain my friend about what to do with the Boges: (All Full)
20120531_094051.jpg

I seem to get maximum flavor after about a tank and a half I would guess. I also find myself taking a Draw a bit different than I normally would with the Boges. More slowly... I was contemplating cutting a small slit in the side of the metal tube, where the wick come out, like yourself, but figured "If it ain't broke, dont fix it"

I have filled mine while half full, as well as on empty, and have no issues. As long as good ol' common sense and instructions are followed, I have not run into any problems with leaking. My only gripe is the fragile nature of the tubes...very thin plastic used, but the cure is a simple one. I dont really subscibe to the notion of cleaning them out, and replacing with a different juice. One Phoenix, one flavor. Once they are "seasoned" with a particular juice, they stay that way. Kinda like when your tea maker gets that nice dark color..It ages just beautifully and the taste gets better and better...

Got Vapes is VERY Pro active in the R&D, monitoring their threads, and looking for ways to improve the vaping experience.
Relaying customer input back to the factories and engineers, is critical to success. For that, they get a great big Kudos. If I may be so bold, and this is only to be taken as constructive criticism...I personally spend ALOT of money on vaping supplies, but I cannot patronize your business if your constantly "Out of stock"..Lets look at our past sales history, our forcasted sales, and product trends, and order from manufacture accordingly. I say that with utmost kindness. Help me, help you...

Re-fill syringe follow up:
I'm 99% certain the guage needle that comes with the Phoenix is 20ga. I just came back from my local pharmacy and picked up some 21ga syringes. Side by side comparison shows the 21ga still a tad bit smaller than the factory ones. 18ga is way to big.
My local CVS did not stock any 20ga units, so I'm still on the hunt. I should be able to draw juice from the bottle with the 21ga, unlike the 22ga.

I'm thinking along these lines..if you leave the point on the new syringes sharp, as opposed to cutting them blunt, then the piercing action when you insert for the first time in the rubber cup, should help promote a better "seal" when the needle is removed, thus helping to further stop the vacume seal from weakening. Make any sense?

Yep, makes perfect sense. Instead of punching a hole through it, you're making a narrower slice that you squeeze the rest of the needle through.

So, CVS has syringes for sale to the general public with no prescription required? Do you have to ask for them at the desk? I'd feel like they would think I'm a druggy

Yep went to mine awhile back and was looking for blunt tip needles and the lady pharmacist was not wanting to give me anything. Finally told me to come back with a prescription.

Hmm. I would try a different pharmacy. Both Walgreens .30 each and CVS .25 each, gave me no hassle whatsoever ???

Of course, blunt tip is out of the question (I think) at a pharmacy. Maybe thats what threw them for a loop ??
