obviously I agree with ya Rolondo :) thinning seems to be the money for me, even thinning without shortening worked

the thing is we're all testing and speculating, so when another vapor finds that pattern X causes dry hits and pattern Y causes perfect wicking, I just want to understand what's happening for them because if it happens to be an easier and less permanent fix than removing wick, I'd like to try it ;)

thank you for the clarification Big Screen D!

I want to try the XL 1.5ml Phoenix's....but I need a bit of clarification....did I read correctly in a few previous posts that they need an adapter to be used on a standard eGo? The GV site lists them as 510's...so why wouldn't they fit on a standard eGo? I thought I read the 3ml will fit a standard eGo without an adapter, but not the XL 1.5ml! Could someone please UNconfuse me here!!

well my phoenix line up got here today all except for my 3ml phoniex which is kinda a bummer it was the one i was looking forward to the most :( so now i have to wait for a response to my ticket. but im sure the fine people over at gotvapes will take care of me! other than that little hiccup. These things are amazing. even my vivi nova out of the box (think i got one without any primer?) Filled them up and started vaping. Gotta love the no hassle way about it!

they work on my ego without an adapter. I use sealed 510 adapters on everything any way in case of leaking but strictly speaking, you dont need them. You cannot use the ego cones though, the fit is super tight but it will fit, however you will get zero air flow.

Thanks for clarifying! The cones I use are wider at the top (opposite screw-on end) so they fit perfectly around the fatter CE2 tubes! How is the Phoenix tube size compared to the CE2 'fatter' one?

Just popping in to add another data point. Got 5 of the 1.5's in today. All filled w no leaks, all hit exactly like they're supposed to. Had two that tasted a little funky off the bat, but after sitting for 5 or 10 mins taste just as good as the others. Night and day better than my ce2 experience. Total 5x5 for me assuming they don't leak. Will definitely order again.

808's please!

e.t.a.: using high pg juice and not really a chain vaper.

Just received 4 more boxes of these. Thanks for the juice gift.
I am still waiting for the first ones I received a week ago to stop working. I'm a 3.7 volt guy all the time I use halo juices and got vapes liqua (which is not bad at all by the way)
They really are amazing in my opinion, I have cleaned them at least 5 times each. I take the tube off, dry burn them a lot I even take a pin and poke thru the coil to get the gunk off. They just keep working like new, I load up 4 for the day then load a couple more in the evening. I have never had a stardust last this long, I like the stardust don't get me wrong, but for longevity the phoenix is the ticket.

After 100 pages, here's my 2 cents:
The good: After some fiddling, they work very well. I use diy ~50/50 juices, and even though i use ~10% water/vodka, it's kinda thick. Since i took out some wick strands near the hole, it's wicking really good (after a drag, a bubble comes up :)).
The bad: As usual? out of the box it was horrible/burning for me. I'm sure with thinner juices it works perfectly without fiddling.

What I've learned are these things r mass produced so your bound to get a bad one in the mix. My personal experience has been they have worked perfect out of the box. But there are some minor things you can do to improve flow. Like, don't fill it all the way. If you do you are more likely to get a dry hit. And if you DO fill it all the way or you start to get a dry hit just take a pull on it without firing your PV. You will see bubbles and the wick will be wet

Been using the same one almost exclusively since last Monday and lost track of how may times I've filled it. I've put my nastiest looking one day carto killing juices through it and had to clean and dry burn a few times but so far it's always came back to like new condition. I'm really starting to wonder how long one is going to last as my primary. The flavor and production are awesome. I may have to order some more about Christmas at this rate.
