the factory is very happy at the acceptance of the phoenix line and they are listening and will keep a close eye on things. im so happy to hear so many having wonderful experiences, and like in the ce2 days, videos help the most so ill make it a priority for those that need a little guidance.

About the best thing the factory could do is make the center post adjustable to open/close the gate to the coil. The best and easiest I've seen suggested is to make a slot in the base of the air tube and make it possible to rotate the tube to open/close the gate for different viscosity niquid.

If others have ideas in this area, lets hear them.

i still think if the base is tapered like a ramp and you turn it first that might remove too much material causing the center post to not sit as solid as it should. also then if you twist it to change the opening it has a large chance of disturbing the wick ends and moving them around away from the right spot. i think the right way to do it is have like 3 different size openings spaced around the tube (6 openings 2 for each size there should be room) pull the tube off the base and then reassemble with the desired opening. prolly have to change the base opening a little also so that the largest 'setting' gives a larger opening then is currently provided (since some folks are having to pull the tube half off to make it work) and the smallest would be just smaller than or equal to the existing one (since i dont really recall anybody wanting to close it off more) and have them assembled on the normal 'setting' so most ppl wont have to fiddle with it unless they want to...
so far all of mine have been perfect out of the box fill and vape and tons of vapor i love it

this is a great idea. what baffles me is on the carto that I cut slots into the center post to really lengthen (vertically) the wick slots it made no difference, dry hits all day.

for those that are using high VG, what gauge needle are you using to fill? blunt or sharp?

I use the needle provided but I thin down my DIY vg and I thin it a little more for the Phoenix. I received my Phoenix last Monday and I would still be filling first one if I didn't thin it down. I don't dare put a bigger needle in, might screw up the seal.

Just tried the needle it came with, surprised that it worked. I could have sworn I had total failure using high VG in similar gauge needles, but somehow this shorty works. I'll stick to this one from now on.

But still, more top plugs would be great bad!

Here's a monkey wrench for ya: one of my thinned wick, perfectly working pieces is now dry hitting lol. Didn't change anything. Maybe it was a fluke of a fill. ::sigh::

Small Phoenix: No time to read through all these posts again....was it for burnt taste that someone said pull up the inner tube tenth of an inch? I got one doing that, and trying to figure out how to fix it.

I have noticed they do work better with an ego cone seems to have a little tighter draw it also helps with TH so it may also have to do with air flow seems to have a little too much air flow

What ‘eGo’ cone do you use, as in where did you get it. I have multiple Joye eGo cones and none of them will fit the 1.5ml Phoenix.

I've been using Stardusts with an eGo adapter from ProVape. All the Stardusts have worked just fine with it. I recently got 3 of the Phoenix 3ml tanks and none of them work with this adapter.

If you are using an eGo adapter with the 3ml Phoenix, where did you get your adapter.

Interesting that even the 1.5ml Phoenix XL's (I know they don't need the adapter) don't fire when screwed into the adapter.Yet the adapter will fire up Boge & Smoketech carto's as well as various 510 and 306 atty's. It's justs seem the Phoenix line-up doesn't mate well with this eGo adapter.

I also noticed that the 3ml tank doesn't mate well with a couple of my Joye eGo batts. Have about 6-8 of these and it doesn't work on a couple of them.

Thanks for any tips on where to get an eGo adapter that works with the Phoenix.

Wasn't such a great idea after all. Have no idea yet why some work and others suffer but I fall into the latter and no matter how much I open up the coil hole there is no improvement. About the only difference is the bigger the hole the quicker the juice runs out the bottom if I break the vacuum seal at the top. Apparently the ones that are working well are maintaining just a little less than a perfect vacuum.

When working perfectly they are the equivalent of an auto drip atty as far as I can tell though I certainly haven't been there yet.

Cleaned and did a dry burn for the first time in several week on my dual coil Clearomizer last night. Had forgotten what a satisfying vaping unit is. Should keep me away from experimenting with the bottom coil units for a while.
