Bonnie. That's why I prefer to file crescents in the air-tube if more juice needs to let in rather than thin the wick. Completely adjustable and totally reversible if needed.

Yes, I would have liked to have been able to do that, but I don't have the tools for it. Unless there's one in my husband's leathernman that can do it, but I'm pretty clueless about this stuff. I wouldn't mind trying to re-wick it, but I wouldn't know where to begin. I have no idea how to get the wick out or get another one in! I do have plenty of spare wicks from old cartos, though.

I just tried my first Phoenix yesterday, and what a steam engine. my recently just purchase of 4 cases of Boge's is now collecting dust.

Wow..Steeljan, Rockn'Rob, & Vapor Joe weren't kidding on these bad boys...I think a case of 50 is in order... If the Rev 2 version of the ViVi performs anywhere near these, then a Big Kudos is in order...

Phoenix XL are still going strong here, can't wait to try out the newer Phoenix 3ml tank.

on a side note because the title of this thread is for both phoenix xl & 3ml tank version it be nice if when people post about one or the other they would let us know what product they are posting about, just saying :)

I have both sizes and there's honestly not much of a difference to me. But it can be confusing, I agree.

Did you happen to take it apart and clean it first. Just curios, tried one for the first time yesterday and has an awful burnt taste.

No, I was thinking about it, but just ran with it out of the box. These are the 1.5ml units. I myself cant wait to try the 3ml version. I am very impressed. On the 3rd refill, and no issues. My ceramic rope should be arriving soon, and am looking forward to re-wicking & coiling when they finally get gunked up. Rebuilding the stardusts is a major pain in the $%&...

I did notice with these, that you have to draw on it pretty steadily and semi hard in order to not get a burnt taste, unlike a Boge carto. I personally dont mind this a bit.
I just used a standard eGO batt so far. If I set my Provari to below 3.7V, then I get a E1 error. Mine are the 2.4 to 2.6 Ohm versions. I am very suprised at the flavor and vape these thing put out on a regular eGO batt...simply amazing considering all my Boges are 2.0.

Nirvana is knocking at the door..Let em' in !!

I'm sorry if someone already posted an answer to this, I just do not have time to go through 121 pages of this thread today.

My first XL started to flood after the 3rd refill. I have pulled it apart, cleaned it and let it dry. When I put the tube back on I noticed hairline fractures on the bottom of the tube. I don't think that they will leak, as I have not seen any juice coming through the cracks (they are really tiny). However, I am still getting the flooding. This kills the vapor and TH and also causes my asthma to kick in (something about inhaling PG or VG that has not been vaporized properly). I used a 70pg/30vg blend, so the e-liquid is not that thick.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and how have to solved it? something to make the holes where the wicks are smaller?

I am going to try my second XL today and see how that one does...

Intersting. Opened a couple more up, and I can visually see small droplets in the tube and the wicks looked wet. From the smell of the tube, its what I'm tasting. I cleaned one, and it seems better, but still a bit of lingering nasty taste. I'm curious what exactly does a dry hit taste like?

I see that same liquid in the tube, but I always pull my clearos apart and clean them good before use. This kills any impurities that might be in there from the factory. I don't want someone else's germs, that put these things together, in my lungs;)

If I look into the tube, I can see the crack on the inside. However, if I plug one end of the tube and blow air into it from the other end, there is no air loss. So, it should still hold the pressure, I hope....

I'll know in a few more minutes, it's getting a bath right now:D

I know that the tube on the XL is thinner and more clear than the one that comes on the fluxo, but I think I prefer the fluxo tube. There are no cracks on any of my fluxos and I have taken them apart many many times and even dropped them. I would be willing to sacrifice the thickness for a better tube.

No leaky! Great vapor and TH, just like the first one had on the first two refills. I'll let everyone know in a day on how the third refill goes.
